Assessment of the environmental comfort of lactating sows via improved analytic hierarchy process and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation

Since there are many interacting influence factors of the comfortable degree of lactating sows,a method that combines improved analytic hierarchy process(IAHP)and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation(FCE)was introduced to conduct a quantitative evaluation of the comfortable ***,an evaluation index system was established,and the weights of different indicators were determined by using IAHP method,including temperature,relative humidity,concentrations of carbon dioxide(CO_(2)),ammonia(NH_(3)),hydrogen sulfide(H_(2)S),and air *** construction method of fuzzy membership function and the calculation method of the parameters were proposed following the principle that the summation of membership degrees is equal to *** basic types of membership functions(MFs),i.e.,ridgemf,gaussmf,and trimf were used to build an evaluation model which fitted IAHP-FCE *** proposed method was verified and applied based on the environmental data in different seasons obtained from a pig farm in Zhenjiang City,Jiangsu Province,*** is demonstrated that the proposed IAHP-FCE model with various types of MFs has drawn a unique and consistent ***,the IAHP-FCE model has a higher correlation coefficient of 0.874 compared with the single-factor evaluation(SFE)*** IAHP-FCE model could be served as a beneficial strategy for the precise regulation and early warning of environmental conditions to improve sow welfare.

A simple model for automatic analysis and diagnosis of environmental thermal comfort in energy efficient buildings

We present a mathematical model to diagnose HVAC systems in buildings based upon the analysis of a small number of ambient state variables. In particular, the equations of the model accurately fit recorded data of temperature, relative humidity and carbon dioxide concentration in different workplaces. For validation, data were obtained under different conditions and with different sensors. In particular, we designed and fabricated a wireless sensor that measures and transmits data to a remote device and we also applied our model to data collected using a commercial sensor. For each case, information was obtained that could be used to understand and predict the evolution of ambient variables that impact thermal comfort and energy consumption in buildings. The tools presented here can thus be of great interest to achieve affordable, smart energy-efficient buildings, while adhering to environmental laws and comfort for work spaces.

This paper examines the influence of the thermal and lighting performance in classrooms on the cognitive productivity of students attending public schools in the principal three cities of Colombia:Bogota,Medellin and *** methodology used involves the application of cognitive performance tests and thermal and visual perception surveys,along with measurements of climatic parameters in 34 classrooms of 14 schools in 2017 and *** results were analyzed using transversal correlational *** the conclusions,this study found that the operative temperature turned out to be the most conclusive variable explaining cognitive performance relationships.
