A facile and efficient ball-milling assisted sol-gel synthesis route was developed to prepare triclinic e-LiVOPO_(4)(LVOP)material with lanthanum(La)and cerium(Ce)modification individually as well as *** LVOP/LaPO_(4)/CePO_(4)composite cathode material was successfully synthesized and results show that La and Ce co-modification noticeably improves the electrochemical performance by enhancing the high voltage capacity upon cycling,which indicates contributions from the good ionic conductors LaPO_(4)and CePO_(4).The simultaneous La and Ce modification improves the high voltage performance significantly with an increase of 50%in high voltage capacity after 20 cycles compared to pure *** also shows stabilized cycling perfo rmance with 91%capacity rete ntion after 50 cycles at 0.1 C rate,along with high-rate capability with a capacity of 83.1 mAh/g compared to the pristine sample showing the capacity of 51.6 mAh/g at a high rate of *** can be attributed to the good conductivity of LaPO_(4)and CePO_(4).In addition,the LVOP/LaPO_(4)/CePO_(4)composite and the pristine LVOP give a charge transfer resistance of-105 and-212Ω,respectively,showing much lower impedance due to a combination of La and Ce addition.

Synthesis and evaluation of a paclitaxel-binding polymeric micelle for efficient breast cancer therapy

Paclitaxel(PTX) is one of the most effective anticancer drugs for the treatment of various solid tumors, but its clinical use is limited by its poor solubility, low bioavailability, and severe systemic toxicity. Encapsulation of PTX in polymeric nanoparticles is used to overcome these problems but these micelles still need improvements in stability, pharmacokinetics, therapeutic efficacy, and safety profiles. In this study, we demonstrate a facile fabrication of a stable PTX-binding micelle made from poly(ethylene glycol)-block-dendritic polylysine, whose primary amines were reacted with phenethyl isothiocyanate(PEITC), a hydrophobic anticancer agent under clinical study. The amphiphilic conjugate(PEG-Gx-PEITC; Gx, the generation of the polylysine dendron) formed well-defined micelles whose core was composed of phenyl groups and thiourea groups binding PTX via π-π stacking and hydrogen bonding. Compared with the PTX-loaded poly(ethylene glycol)-block-poly(D,L-lactide)(PEGPDLLA/PTX) micelles in clinical use, PTX-loaded PEG-Gx-PEITC third-generation(PEG-G3-PEITC/PTX) micelles showed slowed blood clearance, enhanced tumor accumulation, and thus much improved in vivo therapeutic efficacy in both subcutaneous and orthotopic human breast cancer xenografts. Therefore, PEG-G3-PEITC is a promising drug delivery system for PTX in the treatment of breast cancer.

In this study, it has been found that the tortuous three-dimensional CsPbI phase(γ-CsPbI) can be prepared and used for PSCs by solution process without any additive at low temperature(60 ℃). The γ-CsPbI exhibits suitable bandgap of 1.75 eV and favorable photoelectric properties. However, γ-CsPbI is a metastable phase and easily transform into β-CsPbI in moist ambient. In order to improve the stability of γ-CsPbI, calcium ion(Ca) with a relatively small radius of 100 pm is used to partially substitute the lead ion(119 pm). This research proves that Ca could effectively improve the stability of the γ-CsPbI at room temperature. By optimizing the doping concentration of Ca(CsPbCaI, x is from 0 to 2%), the Ca-doped γ-CsPbI PSCs achieves a hysteresis-free J-V curve and a maximum PCE of 9.20%.
