In this paper,the establishment of efficientWireless Sensor Network(WSN)networks has been projected to minimize the consumption of energy using a new Self-adaptive Multi-Objective Weighted Approach(SMOWA)algorithm for solving a multi-objective problem.The Different WSN nodes deployment policies have been proposed and applied in this paper to design an efficientWireless Sensor Network to minimize energy consumption.After that,the cluster head for each cluster has been selected with the help of the duty cycle.After configuring the WSN networks,the SMOWA algorithms have been developed to obtain the minimum energy consumption for the networks.energy minimization,as well as the amount of day-saving,has been calculated for the differentWSNswhich has been configured through different deployment policies.The major finding of the research paper is to improve the durability of Wireless Sensor Network(i)applying different deployment strategies:(Random,S pattern and nautilus shell pattern),and(ii)using a new Meta-heuristic algorithm(SMOWA Algorithm).In this research,the lifetime of WSN has been increased to a significant level.To choose the best result set from all the obtained results set some constraints such as“equivalent distribution”,“number of repetitions”,“maximum amount energy storage by a node”has been set to an allowable range.

Rigidity Constraints for Large Mesh Deformation

It is a challenging problem of surface-based deformation to avoid apparent volumetric distortions around largely deformed areas. In this paper, we propose a new rigidity constraint for gradient domain mesh deformation to address this problem. Intuitively the proposed constraint can be regarded as several small cubes defined by the mesh vertices through mean value coordinates. The user interactively specifies the cubes in the regions which are prone to volumetric distortions, and the rigidity constraints could make the mesh behave like a solid object during deformation. The experimental results demonstrate that our constraint is intuitive, easy to use and very effective.

Texture optimization is a texture synthesis method that can efficiently reproduce various features of exemplar textures. However, its slow synthesis speed limits its usage in many interactive or real time applications. In this paper, we propose a parallel texture optimization algorithm to run on GPUs. In our algorithm, k-coherence search and principle component analysis （PCA） are used for hardware acceleration, and two acceleration techniques are further developed to speed up our GPU-based texture optimization. With a reasonable precomputation cost, the online synthesis speed of our algorithm is 4000＋ times faster than that of the original texture optimization algorithm and thus our algorithm is capable of interactive applications. The advantages of the new scheme are demonstrated by applying it to interactive editing of flow-guided synthesis.

Typical-case computation complexity is a research topic at the boundary of computer science, applied mathematics, and statistical physics. In the last twenty years, the replica-symmetry-breaking mean field theory of spin glasses and the associated message-passing algorithms have greatly deepened our understanding of typical-case computation complexity. In this paper, we use the vertex cover problem, a basic nondeterministic-polynomi＇al （NP）-complete combinatorial opti- mization problem of wide application, as an example to introduce the statistical physical methods and algorithms. We do not go into the technical details but emphasize mainly the intuitive physical meanings of the message-passing equations. A nonfamiliar reader shall be able to understand to a large extent the physics behind the mean field approaches and to adjust the mean field methods in solving other optimization problems.

energy-saving is extraordinary important for real-time systems. Dynamic voltage scaling(DVS) is an important technique to reduce the energy consumption of processors that support voltage scaling. It has been exploited extensively in task scheduling. However, many approaches take simple treatments and some of them even neglect the large voltage transition overheads. Although some strategies consider the penalty, frequency switching produces extra large time overhead and deadline misses occur frequently. In our paper, we propose an energy efficient soft real-time dynamic program scheme by using quantitative switching overhead and communication penalty for multitask scheduling with uncertain execution time. The experiments show that our approaches significantly outperform existing solutions both on simple-core and multi-core systems in terms of energy-saving.

This paper presents a fast algorithm （BS2 Algorithm） for fitting C 1 surfaces to scat- tered data points. By using energy minimization, the bivariate spline space S 2 1（△ m,n （2）） is introduced to construct a Cl-continuous piecewise quadratic surface through a set of irregularly 3D points. Moreover, a multilevel method is also presented. Some experimental results show that the accuracy is satisfactory. Furthermore, the BS2 Algorithm is more suitable for fitting surfaces if the given data points have some measurement errors.

Image-based gait analysis as a means of biometric identification has attracted much research attention.Most of the existing methods focus on human identification,posture analysis and movement tracking.There have been few investigations on measuring the carried load based on the carrier’s gait characteristics by automatic image processing.Nevertheless,this measurement is very useful in a number of applications,such as the study of the carried load on the postural development of children and adolescence.In this paper,we inves- tigate how to automatically estimate the carried weight from a sequence of images.We present a method to extract human gait silhouette based on an observation that humans tend to minimize the energy during motion.We compute several angles of body leaning and deter- mine the relationship of the carried weight,the leaning angles and the centroid location according to a human kinetic study.Our weight determination method has been verified successfully by experiments.

Molecular model of rice Rubisco has been constructed by molecular modelling method on a computer graphics workstation using graphics software TOM-FRODO and QUANTA/CHARMm, based on the three-dimensional structure of spinach Rubisco. The molecular modelling was carried out in the following procedure: amino-acid sequence substitution; manual adjustment of the initial model; and energy minimization. The three-dimensional structure of the quaternary complex Rubisco CO2 . Mg2+. CABP of rice Rubisco has also been modelled and optimized using the program package XPLOR. The main-chain structure of rice Rubisco does not show obvious difference from that of spinach Rubisco, and the side-chains are located in the most favorable positions and orientations. The active-site structures are basically the same for the two species. The mutant Leu335-->Arg of rice Rubisco has been designed using the graphics software TURBO-FRODO and the program package XPLOR. energy computation suggests that this mutation might increase the carboxylation activity.

In this paper we propose a new model for segmentation of an image under some geometrical constraints in order to detect special regions of interest.Our work is based on the recent work by Gout et al.[Numer.Algorithms,39(2005),pp.155-173 and 48(2008),pp.105-133]using geodesic active contours models,by combining it with the idea of a piecewise constant Mumford-Shah model as with the non-selective Chan-Vese segmentation.Numerical tests show that our method is more robust than the previous works.
