Fair e-payment protocol based on blind signature

electronic transaction through e-payment protocol will grow tremendous in the coming years. In this article, by conversely using blind signature, the authors propose a fair electronic payment scheme for electronic commerce, which can ensure two participants＇ right simultaneously in electronic transaction process. This scheme is different from other existing schemes and it does not require strong trust relation between customer and merchant. In the scheme, a semi-trusted third party （S-TTP） is involved to provide a fair commerce environment. The S-TTP takes part in the protocol on-line and no secure information about the business is leaked. Moreover, the participants do not need to register to S-TTP. This scheme does not require intervention of a third party in case of dispute, if one user cheats or simply crashes.

A practical e-payment protocol is presented in this paper. It is based on quantum multi-proxy blind signature. Adopting the techniques of quantum key distribution, one-time pad and quantum multi-proxy blind signature, our e-payment system could protect user's anonymity as the traditional e-payment systems do, and also have unconditional security, which the classical e-payment systems can not provide. Furthermore, compared with the existing quantum e-payment systems, this practical system could not only support mobile e-payment transactions but also inter-bank transactions.

Fair e-payment Protocol Based on Simple Partially Blind Signature Scheme

This paper presents a simple partially blind signature scheme with low computation. By converse using the partially blind signature scheme, we build a simple fair e-payment protocol. In the protocol, two participants achieve the goals of exchanging their digital signatures from each other in a simple way. An ado vantage of this scheme is that this approach does not require the intervention of the third party in any case. The low-computation property makes our scheme very attractive for mobile client and smart-card implementation in many e-commerce applications.

Perceived Trust and payment Methods: An empirical Study of MarkaVIP Company

This empirical study focused on investigating the perceived trust surrogated by a number of hy-pothesized factors and its effect on the choice of method of payment. The data were collected using a questionnaire, as the instrument for the primary data collection, with total collected back responses of 214 from customers of MarkaVIP. Structural equation modeling technique was used to fully analyze the data in order to determine what level of the relationship between the constituting factors of the perceived trust and the method of payment. The main findings were related to confirming the seven main hypotheses of the research that were related to testing if some factors were important to forming perceived trust by customers. Four factors (reputation, security, familiarity, and ease of use) were found to have a positive effect and the remaining three were not (privacy, size and usefulness). In addition, having perceived trust meant no preference to any method of payment by the customers.

electronic commerce in ethiopia is an industry that is still in its early stage of development. This thesis will focus on evaluating the development of B2C （Business-to-Consumer） e-commerce in ethiopia. It will look at the current status of B2C e-commerce within the country so that the challenges and obstacles towards the growth of B2C electronic commerce can be identified. Thus, the purpose of this study is to evaluate the status of B2C e-commerce-the limitations, problems and hindrances faced in implementing B2C e-commerce in ethiopia. More specifically, it will also evaluate the market （ie. the perception of the community towards B2C e-commerce） in an attempt to evaluate its attractiveness from a consumer perspective. The thesis will also look at the challenges that existing B2C e-commerce businesses face in adopting electronic commerce and identify factors that are a hindrance to its development. Investigating the development of B2C e-commerce from the business as well as from the consumers point of view, allows for the research to more effectively analyze the national readiness of ethiopia to embrace B2C e-commerce which can be useful for entrepreneurs considering entering the market as it can help them assess the market conditions. Thus, the study aims to make suggestions that can help entrepreneurs who are interested in entering the industry in their planning strategy as well as makes recommendations on what needs to be done to facilitate the growth of B2C e-commerce. Both primary and secondary data were used to clarify where B2C e-commerce development in the country currently stands, with the focus being the capital city, Addis Ababa. A questionnaire method was used to obtain primary data from the market and from existing e-commerce businesses in ethiopia.
