本研究探讨海洋贻贝多糖(mussel polysaccharideα-D-Glucan,MP-A)对高脂饮食(high fat diet,HFD)诱导的载脂蛋白e基因敲除(apolipoprotein e^(−/−),Apoe^(−/−))小鼠非酒精性脂肪肝(non-alcoholic fatty liver disease,NAFLD)的改善作用。20只C57BL/6J正常小鼠随机分为两组:正常组、正常+MP-A组,20只Apoe^(−/−)小鼠随机分为两组:模型组、模型+MP-A组,每组10只。Apoe^(−/−)小鼠喂食高脂饮食诱导NAFLD模型,MP-A灌胃干预后,通过血清和肝脏甘油三酯(triglyceride,TG)、总胆固醇(total cholesterol,TC)水平检测,肝组织病理形态学检查等进行疗效评价,同时考察脂代谢和胆固醇代谢相关受体的mRNA和蛋白表达水平。结果显示,与模型组比较,MP-A灌胃7周后,模型+MP-A组小鼠体重增长率(Pe,FAS)的mRNA表达水平(Pesterol 7α-hydroxylase,CYP7A1)的mRNA表达水平(Pesoid X receptor,FXR)、CYP7A1蛋白表达均显著上调(Perol regulatory element-binding protein,SReBP-1C)、FAS蛋白表达均显著降低(PeBP-1C-FAS信号通路和CYP7A1受体的表达具有显著影响,可抑制肝脏TG的积累,显著改善HFD诱导的NAFLD,具有重要的开发潜力。

All-sky meteor radars are primarily used for meteor observations. This paper reports the first observations of ionospheric eregion field-aligned irregularities(FAIs) from a conventional all-sky meteor radar located at Wuhan(31°N, 114°e) for the period of March–June 2018. e-region FAI echoes evident in range-time intensity(RTI) maps show quasiperiodic striations with positive and negative slopes, which are consistent with multiple FAI structures moving across the wide beam of the meteor radar. A statistical analysis shows that out of a total of 111 d, there are 73 d with e-region FAI echoes detected by the meteor radar. The FAI events correspond well with the presence of sporadic-e layers which provide the necessary plasma density gradient for the development of gradient drift instability producing FAIs. The results demonstrate the capability of conventional meteor radars to make simultaneous routine observations of meteors and ionospheric e-region FAIs through incorporating RTI and spectral analysis into the online realtime data processing. Meteor radar observations could potentially address the limitations of ionospheric radars, which cannot provide simultaneous measurements of neutral winds and irregularity structures, and thereby contribute to better understanding of the dynamical processes producing e-region irregularities.

In this study, a laminated woven bamboo/woven e glass/unsaturated polyester composite is developed to combat a ballistic impact from bullet under shooting test. The aim of this study is to understand the fundamental effects of the woven bamboo arrangement towards increasing ballistic resistance properties. The work focusses on the ballistic limit test known as NIJ V50, which qualifies materials to be registered for use in combat armor panels. The results show that the composites withstood 482.5 m/s ± 5 limit of bullet velocity, satisfying the NIJ test at level II. The findings give a strong sound basis decision to engineers whether or not green composites are qualified to replace synthetic composites in certain engineering applications.

Hepatitis e virus(HeV)infection is a common public health problem in developing ***,the current prevalence of HeV and the relationship of HeV genotype between swine and human within high-density pig-farming areas in central China are still inadequately ***,cross-sectional serological and genotypic surveys of HeV among the 1232 general population,273 workers occupationally exposed to swine,and 276 pigs in a high-density pig-breeding area,were undertaken by eLISA and nested RT-PCR ***-HeV IgG was detected in 26.22%of general population and 48.35%of occupational *** prevalence of swine serum HeV-Ag was 6.52%.The prevalence of anti-HeV IgG was significantly higher among the workers occupationally exposed to swine than among the general *** increased HeV seropositivity risk among the general population was associated with either being a peasant or male and was very strongly associated with the increase of *** the occupationally exposed group,the prevalence of anti-HeV IgG antibodies increased with age and working *** the 30 HeV-IgM-positive people,the infection rates of clerks in the public,peasants,pork retailers,and pig farmers were higher than those of others.A phylogenetic analysis revealed that all the isolates belonged to subgenotype 4d,and four people and four pigs shared 97.04%-100%sequence *** study revealed a high HeV seroprevalence among the general population and workers occupationally exposed to swine in the Anlu City,and supports the notion that swine are a source of human HeV infection.

Huntington's disease(HD)is an autosomal dominant degenerative disease that mainly encompasses movement,cognition,and behavioral *** apolipoprotein e(APOe)gene is thought to be associated with many neurodegenerative ***,we enrolled a cohort of 223 unrelated Han Chinese patients with HD and1241 unrelated healthy controls in Southeastern China and analyzed the correlation between APOe genotypes and HD *** results showed that the frequency of the e4 allele(7.1%)in HD patients was statistically less than that in controls(12.0%)(P =0.004).In addition,we divided patients into motor-onset and non-motor-onset groups,and analyzed the relationship with APOe *** results,however,were ***,the age at onset(AAO),defined as the age at the onset of motor symptoms,was compared in each APOe genotype subgroup and multivariate regression analysis was used to exclude the interference of CAG repeat length on AAO,but no association was found between APOe genotypes and ***,we analyzed adult-onset HD to exclude the interference caused by juvenile HD(n = 13),and the results were ***,our study suggests that APOe may not be a genetic modifier for HD,especially for adult-onset HD among Chinese of Han *** the best of our knowledge,this is the first study of the correlation between APOe genotypes and HD phenotypes in a Han Chinese population.

Macrophages play an important role in inflammation, and excessive and chronic activation of macrophages leads to systemic inflammatory diseases, such as atherosclerosis and rheumatoid arthritis. In this paper, we explored the anti-inflammatory effect of broussonin e, a novel phenolic compound isolated from the barks of Broussonetia kanzinoki, and its underlying molecular mechanisms. We discovered that Broussonin e could suppress the LPS-induced pro-inflammatory production in RAW264.7 cells, involving TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6, COX-2 and iNOS. And broussonin e enhanced the expressions of anti-inflammatory mediators such as IL-10, CD206 and arginase-1(Arg-1) in LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 cells. Further, we demonstrated that broussonin e inhibited the LPS-stimulated phosphorylation of eRK and p38 MAPK. Moreover, we found that broussonin e could activate janus kinase(JAK) 2, signal transducer and activator of transcription(STAT) 3. Downregulated pro-inflammatory cytokines and upregulated anti-inflammatory factors by broussonin e were abolished by using the inhibitor of JAK2-STAT3 pathway, WP1066. Taken together, our results showed that broussonin e could suppress inflammation by modulating macrophages activation state via inhibiting the eRK and p38 MAPK and enhancing JAK2-STAT3 signaling pathway, and can be further developed as a promising drug for the treatment of inflammation-related diseases such as atherosclerosis.

Pantoprazole sodium, a substituted benzimidazole derivative, is an irreversible proton pump inhibitor which is primarily used for the treatment of duodenal ulcers, gastric ulcers, and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GeRD). The monographs of european Pharmacopoeia (Ph. eur.) and United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) specify six impurities, viz.;impurities A, B, C, D, e and F, respectively for its active pharmaceutical ingredient (API). The identification and synthesis of all impurities except impurity e are well described in the literature;however, there is no report related to impurity e. The prospects to the formation and controlling of impurity e up to -0.03% in the synthesis of pantoprazole sodium sesquihydrate (PAN) were discussed in detail for the first time. The present work described the journey towards the successful development of an optimal preparation procedure of dimer impurity e. The most plausible mechanism involved in the formation of impurity e has been proposed.
