Bifurcation stabilization of nonlinear systems by dynamic output feedback with application to rotating stall control

The paper deals with the problem of stabilization of stationary bifurcation solutions of nonlinear systems via dynamic output feedback.It is emphasized that the parameter of the system is not directly available.We introduce the concepts of uniform observability of the inverse of a function of state and input and N-order-input-to-state bifurcation stability.Based on the concepts,we propose a new method for designing dynamic compensators that guarantee bifurcation stability for the closed-loop system.As an example,we apply the general theory to active control of rotating stall in axial flow compressors by designing a stabilizing dynamic compensator for the three-state Moore-Greitzer model with a class of cubic compressor characteristics.

This paper deals with the problems of bifurcation suppression and bifurcation suppression with stability of nonlinear systems. Necessary conditions and sufficient conditions for bifurcation suppression via dynamic output feedback are presented; Sufficient conditions for bifurcation suppression with stability via dynamic output feedback are obtained. As an application, a dynamic compensator,which guarantees that the bifurcation point of rotating stall in axial flow compressors is stably suppressed, is constructed.

This paper is concerned with the dynamic output feedback Hcontrol problem for networked control systems with random consecutive packet dropouts,where the random consecutive packet dropouts from the sensor to the controller and from the controller to the actuator are considered simultaneously.A novel random consecutive packet dropouts model is proposed,and by using this model,the system performance is studied.The dynamic output feedback controller is designed to stabilize the closed-loop system with a prescribed Hperformance bound.An example is presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

For a class of uncertain linear systems, this paper proposes the mixed fault model which is more general and more practical, to discuss the existence problems of the system reliable controller, considers the reliable pole assignment of parabolic region with actuator fault, and gives a new method to deal with the mixed fault matrix. For mixed fault model with actuator fault, this paper discusses design of dynamic output feedback control laws which can make the pole of linear systems to be located in the parabolic region. Achieve the design of dynamic output feedback controller by solving the LMI. The simulation proves the design method in this paper is feasible.

This paper is concerned with the problem of exponential stabilization for neutral stochastic delay systems with Markovian switching parameters. dynamic output feedback controllers with Markovian switching parameters are designed to ensure that the resulting closed-loop system is exponentially stable in mean square. Sufficient conditions for exponential stability of the closed-loop system are obtained in term of linear matrix inequalities（LMIs）. A numerical example is provided to show the effectiveness of the proposed design methods.

Selective catalytic reduction(SCR) is an effective way to deal with the flue gas at the outlet of coal-fired boiler. The working process of SCR systems is to use the ammonia(NH3) adsorbed on the catalyst to react with nitrogen oxide(NOx) to generate nitrogen and water. This paper presents an observer based dynamic output feedback control for SCR systems. Since NH3 coverage ratio cannot be measured directly, a reduced order observer is designed first. And then it is proved that the error of observer tends to 0 by using Lyapunov function. Furthermore, the dynamic equation of the composite system including the observer state is obtained. Finally, the controller is designed to adjust the rate of NH3 injection in order to satisfy the industrial demand.

＜正＞This paper considers output feedback robust model predictive control（MPC） for the linear parameter varying（LPV） system with both polytopic uncertainty and bounded noise.We emphasize on the problem of near-optimal solution:a solution to the upper bound of the performance cost which is sufficiently close to the theoretically minimum one.The constraints on the input and output are guaranteed.The recursive feasibility is guaranteed,i.e.,feasibility of the optimization problem at the initial time means its feasibility at all future time.The augmented state of the closed-loop system is guaranteed to converge to a neighborhood of the origin.An example for continuous stirred tank reactor（CSTR） is provided to illustrate the effectiveness.

This paper presents a dynamic output feedback robust model predictive control （DOFRMPC） for the quasiLPV （quasi-linear parameter varying） systems with both polytopic uncertainty and bounded disturbance. Our previous studies have shown that the refreshment of the estimation error set （EES） is a key knob for improving the control performance. In our previous work, for calculating the EES, the recursion of polyhedral set is utilized, which also involves the polyhedral outer approximation of the ellipsoid and the outer ellipsoidal approximation of polyhedral set. By applying S-procedure, a new method for refreshing EES is proposed in this paper which directly utilizes the recursion of ellipsoidal EES. A numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the approach.

This paper considers output feedback robust model predictive control （MPC） for the linear parameter varying （LPV） system with both polytopic uncertainty and bounded noise.We emphasize on the problem of recursive feasibility:feasibility at the initial time means feasibility for all future time.We assume that the estimation error lies in an ellipsoid.This ellipsoid is refreshed at each sampling time by invoking the previous solution of the optimization problem.The recursive feasibility is indeed guaranteed for the proposed algorithm,and the closed-loop stability is proven.A numerical example is provided to illustrate the effectiveness.
