Objective:To determine the prevalence of mastitis-causing bacteria in the dry period and its antibiotic ***:In this study,852 dry cows were examined.A total of 30 cows with clinical mastitis symptoms were detected and their milk samples were *** order to purify the bacteria,brain heart infusion and blood agar media were applied and single colonies were used for Gram staining,oxidase and catalase testing,cultivating in O-F medium to determine the genus and species of ***,antimicrobial susceptibility was tested by the agar disk diffusion ***:The prevalence of isolated bacteria was 2.46%,in which coagulase positive Staphylococcus,coagulase negative Staphylococcus,Streptococcus dysgalactiae,Streptococcus faecalis,Escherichia coli,Pseudomonas,Bacillus and yeast were(9/99)%,(6/66)%,(13/32)%,(3/33%),(6/66)%,(13/32)%,(9/99)%and(6/66)%,*** tests of antibiotic susceptibility,the most and the least sensitivity were reported to enrofloxacin and ampicillin ***:This study indicated that Streptococcus dysgalactiae is the most commonly isolated bacteria with the greatest sensitivity to enrofloxacin and tetracycline which can be used to treat mastitis in the dry period in Tabriz.

Transition to Film Boiling in Microgravity： Influence of Subcooling

The transition process to film pool boiling in microgravity is studied experimentally aboard the Chinese recoverable satellite S J-8. A quasi-steady heating method is adopted, in which the heating voltage is controlled to increase exponentially with time. Small, primary bubbles are formed and slid on the surface, which coalesce with each other to form a large coalesced bubble. Two ways are observed for the transition from nucleate to film boiling at different subcoolings. At high subcooling, the coalesced bubble with a smooth surface grows slowly. It is then difficult for the coalesced bubble to cover the whole heater surface, resulting in a special region of transition boiling in which nucleate boiling and local dry areas can coexist. In contrast, strong oscillation of the coalesced bubble surface at low subcooling may cause rewetting of local dry areas and activation of more nucleate sites, resulting in an abrupt transition to film boiling.

Growth Response to Ionic and Osmotic Stress of NaCl in Salt-tolerant and Salt-sensitive Maize

Salt-tolerant maize （STM） and salt-sensitive maize （SSM） were treated with 100 mM NaCI for 1, 3 and 6 d and the contents of Na＋ and Cl- （cps） of different organelles of leaf cells determined by X-ray microanalysis. The results showed that Na＋ and Cl- entered the cytoplasm, vacuole, chloroplast and apoplast simultaneously. When STM and SSM were treated in 100 mM NaCI at atmospheric pressure （-P） and with pressure equivalent to the osmotic pressure of the NaCI （＋P）, the dry weights of STM （＋P） and SSM （＋P） plants were greater than that of STM （-P） and SSM （-P） plants, showing that the inhibitory effect of salt on plant growth was at least partially due to the osmotic effect of the NaCI. When STM and SSM were treated with NaCI and iso-osmotic polyethlene glycol, the dry weights of plants given the iso-osmotic polyethlene glycol treatment were lower for both maize lines than that of the NaCl-treated plants. Our data show that under NaCl stress, both STM and SSM seedlings simultaneously suffered from osmotic and ion stresses.

Different characteristics of the structure of atmospheric boundary layer between dry and rainy periods over the northern Tibetan Plateau

In this paper, based on in-situ observational data of the Coordinated Enhanced Observing period （CEOP） Asia-Australia Monsoon Project （CAMP） on the Tibetan＇Plateau （CAMP-Tibet）, structure of the Atmospheric Boundary Layer （ABL） was preliminarily studied during the dry and rainy seasons. The main results show：（a） Diurnal variation of the ABL is obvious over the northern Tibetan Plateau area. The height of the ABL is different with the season change, which ranges from 2,211 m to 4,430 m during the pre-monsoon season and from 1,006 m to 2,212 m during the monsoon season. The ABL height is higher during the dry period than during the rainyigeriod. （b） The humidity is lower during the dry period than during the rainy period, and there are reverse humidity during both periods. （c） Horizontal wind direction is mostly west during the dry period, east under the height of 2,500 m and west above the height of 2,500 m during the rainy period. The wind speed is low during both the rainy and dry periods in the lower ABL layer. The wind speed is stronger within the upper ABL during the dry period than dtn-ing the rainy period.
