Enhanced deep-red emission in donor-acceptor molecular architecture:The role of ancillary acceptor of cyanophenyl

Organic solid-state luminescent materials with high-efficiency deep-red emission have attracted considerable interest in recent *** donor-acceptor(D-A)type molecules has been one of most commonly used strategies to achieve deep-red emission,but it is always difficult to achieve high photoluminescence(PL)quantum yield(ηPL)due to forbidden charge-transfer ***,we report a new D-A type molecule 4-(7-(4-(diphenylamino)phenyl)-9-oxo-9H-fluoren-2-yl)benzonitrile(TPAFOCN),deriving from donor-acceptor-donor(D-A-D)type 2,7-bis(4-(diphenylamino)phenyl)-9H-fluoren-9-one(DTPA-FO)with a fluorescence maximum of 627 nm in *** molecular design enables a transformation of acceptor from fluorenone(FO)itself to 4-(9-oxo-9H-fluoren-2-yl)benzonitrile(FOCN).Compared with DTPA-FO,the introduction of cyanophenyl not only shifts the emission of TPA-FOCN to deep red with a fluorescence maximum of 668 nm in solids,but also maintains the highηPL of 10%.Additionally,a solution-processed non-doped organic light-emitting diode(OLED)was fabricated with TPA-FOCN as ***-FOCN device showed a maximum luminous efficiency of 0.13 cd/A and a maximum external quantum efficiency(EQE)of 0.22%with CIE coordinates of(0.64,0.35).This work provides a valuable strategy for the rational design of high-efficiency deep-red emission materials using cyanophenyl as an ancillary acceptor.

A class of benzo[b]phosphole-based alkynylgold(I)complexes has been synthesized and *** complexes share a similar benzo-[b]phosphole ligand,in which the phosphole moiety is substituted with variousπ-conjugated units with different donor strengths,namely phenoxazinylphenyl,tris(di-tert-butylcarbazolyl)phenyl and 2,4-dimethylphenyl *** phosphole-containing gold(I)complexes are found to be strongly luminescent in toluene with tunable emission maxima and possess solvatochromic behaviors,suggesting an emission of metal-perturbed intraligand charge transfer *** voltammetry studies reveal that the presence of gold(I)metal center strongly perturbs the electronic properties of the phosphole moiety of the resultant complexes,which can be further finetuned by the auxiliary ligand on the gold(I)*** the resistive memory studies,devices based on these alkynylgold(I)complexes exhibit satisfactory binary memory behaviors,demonstrating low threshold voltages in narrow distributions,high durability and low misreading *** performances are believed to be originated from a field-induced charge transfer of the alkynylgold(I)complexes,in which the electron-accepting phosphole-gold(I)unit plays a crucial role in stabilizing the charge transfer state and that led to the observed resistive switching and memory behavior.

donor-acceptor(D-A)alignment is considered a productive strategy to improve the charge separation efficiency of covalent organic frameworks(COFs)and enhance the charge-transfer yield(CTY)of ***,organic molecules containing heteroatoms can produce coordination interaction with PbI2 of perovskite precursor to affect the crystallization process,thereby impeding the decomposition and improving the stability of perovskite ***,a thiazolo[5,4-d]thiazole(TZ)-based D-A type COF_(TPDA-TZDA) was designed and synthesized from N,N,N′,N′-tetrakis(4-aminophenyl)-1,4-benzenediamine(TPDA)and 4,4′-(thiazolo[5,4-d]thiazole-2,5-diyl)dibenzaldehyde(TZDA).Upon incorporation into the FAPbI3 layer,COF_(TPDA-TZDA) not only restrained the perovskite defects and enhanced the grain size of perovskite films through the coordination effect of the N atoms of TZDA but also ameliorated the charge transport within the perovskite film,which was the benefit of the D-A structure of COF_(TPDA-TZDA).As a result,incorporation of COF_(TPDA-TZDA) into the perovskite solar cells(PSCs)led to a remarkable power conversion efficiency(PCE)of up to 23.51%.Furthermore,even after being stored in high relative humidity(RH≈60%)for 480 h,these PSCs maintained over 90.55%of their original *** work sets the foundation for the development of highly efficient and stable PSCs by utilizing TZ-based D-A type COFs.

Recently,Nuckolls et al have shown that donor and acceptor molecules with shape-complementarity could drive a donor-acceptor mixture to form a phase separated morphology with a D/A ball-and-socket interface,which could enable faster electron *** studies confirmed that covalent organic frameworks(COFs) could incorporate fullerene-based acceptors with porous structure and significantly improved phase ***,the non-soluble nature of COF limits their process ability for forming uniform *** recently,we reported two D-A macrocycles,3 B2 A and 4 B2 A,which could capture one and two fullerene derivatives,*** the first example,the host-guest systems were to construct efficient BHJ *** order to improve the absorption and crystallinity of macrocycle 4 B2 A,in our work,we synthesized a new series of cyclic D-A oligomers(C-C8)(Figure 1).For comparison,a linear oligomer(L-C8) was also *** to4 B2 A,C-C8 shows much red-shifted *** investigation revealed that C-C8 formed hexagonal columnar(Col) ordered structure,while laminar structure was formed for linear molecule(L-C8).Interestingly,1 D rod-like structures with 1-2 μm were obtained by drop-casting from C-C8 toluene solution(Figure 2).Furthermore,as shown by STM images,C-C8 could also include *** addition,the opt-electronic application of both C-C8 and L-C8 are in progress.

n-Type Semiconductive Polymers Based on Pyrene-1,5,6,10-Tetracarboxyl Diimide

Polymer self-assembly in solution prior to film fabrication makes solution-state structures critical for their solid-state packing and optoelectronic properties. However, unravelling the solution-state supramolecular structures is challenging, not to mention establishing clear relationship between solution-state structure and charge transport properties in field-effect transistors（FETs）. Here, for the first time, we revealed that the thin film morphology of conjugated polymer inherited the features of their solutionstate supramolecular structures. We proposed a "solution-state supramolecular structure control" strategy to increase the electron mobility of a BDOPV-based polymer. We showed that the solution-state structures of a BDOPV-based conjugated polymer can be tuned that it formed 1 D rod-like structure in good solvent, and 2 D lamellae structure in poor solvent. By tuning the solution-state structure, films with high crystallinity and good inter-domain connectivity were obtained. The electron mobility significantly increased from the original value of 1.8 cm2 V?1 s?1 to 3.2 cm2 V?1 s?1. Our work demonstrates that "solution-state supramolecular structure" control is critical for understanding and optimization of the thin-film morphology and charge transport properties of conjugated polymers.

donor-acceptor(D-A)conjugated polymers comprising electron-deficient aromatic dicarboximide units represent an important type of organic semiconductors,especially for electron transporting ***-1,5,6,10-tetracarboxyl diimide(PyDI),a new PAH dicarboximide molecule recently reported by us,provides a fine balance between the electron-stabilizing ability andπ-stacking tendency,as compared to the naphthalenediimide(NDI)and perylenediimide(PDI)*** this study,using thienylene-vinylene-thienylene(TVT)and biselenophene(BS)as the electron donating comonomer,along with PyDI as the acceptor moiety,we develop two new D-A type conjugated polymers,which exhibit impressive electron-transporting ***,in the solution-processed OFET devices,electron mobility of 0.18 and 0.20 cm^(2)·V^(−1)·s^(−1) are achieved with these polymers,*** findings further prove the optimal potential of PyDI for application as an electron-acceptor building block in the development of polymeric n-type semiconductors among all various high-performance functional D-A polymers.

The bridging Re-Xe-Re bond with a remarkable stability is firstly predicted. The average binding energies for Re-Xe bond in RezCpz（PF3）4Xe with bridging Xe are calculated to be higher than that in ReCp（CO）2Xe, ReCp（CO）（PF3）Xe and ReCp（PF3）2Xe with terminal Xe. The interaction between two ReCp（PF3）2 fragments provides an additional contribution for the stability of bridging Re-Xe-Re bond. Besides, the RezCp2（PF3）4Xe isomers with bridging Xe are also stable in energy than the isomers with bridging PF3. As the terminal Re-Xe bond was found to exist in experiments, the more stable bridging Re-Xe-Re bond might be existent under similar or even milder condition.

Organic thermally activated delayed fluorescence(TADF)emitters have attracted increasing concerns,owing to their atypical photophysical features that can pave the way to the innovative engineering *** cutting-edge type of luminescent molecules,however,most of them only exert a single-wavelength emission from the lowest excited state,according to Kasha’s *** develop their potential applications in multicolor luminescence and multi-functional luminescent probes for biological imaging,researchers have begun to turn their attention to design organic TADF molecules with dual-emission characteristics,by employing an additional fluorescence,phosphorescence,or TADF signal within a single-component *** herein summarized the design principles as well as the luminescence mechanism of organic donor-acceptor TADF compounds with dual-emission characteristics,the superiority of which can cover unique material applications in modern luminescencerelated fields.
