The Spatial Only Processing Power Inversion(SOP-PI) algorithm is frequently used in Global Navigation Satellite System(GNSS) adaptive array receivers for interference mitigation because of its simplicity of implementation. This study investigates the effects of SOP-PI on receiver measurements for high-precision applications. Mathematical deductions show that if an array with a centro-symmetrical geometry is used, ideally,SOP-PI is naturally bias-free; however, this no longer stands when non-ideal factors, including array perturbations and finite-sample effect, are added. Simulations are performed herein to investigate how exactly the array perturbations affect the carrier phase biases, while diagonal loading and forward-backward averaging are proposed to counter the finite-sample effect. In conclusion, whether SOP-PI with a centro-symmetrical array geometry will satisfy the high precision demands mainly depends on the array perturbation degree of the element amplitude and the phase center.

The derivation of a diagonally loaded sample-matrix inversion （LSMI） algorithm on the busis of inverse matrix recursion （***-IMR algorithm） is conducted by reconstructing the recursive formulation of covariance matrix. For the new algorithm, diagonal loading is by setting initial inverse matrix without any addition of computation. In addition, a corresponding improved recursive algorithm is presented, which is low computational complexity. This eliminates the complex multiplications of the scalar coefficient and updating matrix, resulting in significant computational savings. Simulations show that the LSMI-IMR algorithm is valid.

This paper analyzes the characteristics of ionospheric clutter, which has proven to be the greatest impediment in high frequency surface wave radar （HFSWR）. Ionospheric clutter influences most range bins, all Doppler bins and beams, and exhibits a high directivity. A robust adaptive side-lobe cancellation algorithm based on orthogonal auxiliary beams, which use the difference beams to estimate the ionospheric clutter information, is introduced to suppress the ionospheric clutter. Training data was selected by excluding the sea clutter and probable target unit; and diagonal loading was added to enhance the robustness of the algorithm. Experimental results demonstrate that the algorithm is able to suppress the ionospheric clutter whilst preserving the desired characteristics of the target echoes and is suitable for practical implementation.

Based upon the diagonal loading technique and the structure of the space-time adaptive processors, a novel anti-jamming method of satellite navigation is proposed. According to matrix in- verse theorem, the range of the diagonal loading values for space-time adaptive wideband signal pro- cessing structure is deduced, and the optimum equation of diagonal loading beam forming algorithm of space-time structure is obtained. Then, by the analysis of two-dimensional oriented vector in di- rection of the perturbation interference, the wideband interference covariance matrix obtained in the weights training period is modified. Finally, the optimum weight of multi-linear constrained space- time adaptive beam-forming alogrithm is derived for anti-interference filter processing. It is required in the diagonally loaded robust adaptive beamforming the automatic determination of the loading level which is practically a challenging problem.A constant modulus restoral method is herein presented to choose the diagonal loading level adaptively for the extraction of a desired signal with constant modulus(a common feature of the phase modulation signals).By introducing the temporal smoothing technique,the proposed constant modulus restoral diagonally loaded robust adaptive beamformer provides increased capability compared with some existing robust adaptive beamformers in rejecting interferences and noise while protecting the *** results are included to illustrate the performance of the proposed beamformer.
