Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common chronic arrhythmia in clinical practice, which can cause high disability and mortality with the progress of the disease. Many studies at home and abroad have shown that the incidence of atrial fibrillation gradually increases with age. Clinically, the onset of most AF patients is insidious, which is difficult to capture by routine electrocardiogram, and there is some difficulty in the diagnosis. In order to make the early diagnosis of atrial fibrillation more efficient and accurate, this paper reviews the current status and research progress of detection technology for atrial fibrillation at home and abroad, in order to provide a scientific basis for the early diagnosis of atrial fibrillation.

This article focuses on bridge testing technologies in highway construction and expansion projects.It provides an overview of the inspection process for bridges in highway reconstruction and expansion projects,the main inspections,and strategies for improving the quality of inspections.Relevant units should conduct bridge inspections using appearance inspections,special inspections,and bearing capacity assessments in highway reconstruction and expansion projects.To effectively improve testing quality,relevant units should also focus on establishing and improving testing standards,strengthening material testing,and improving the overall quality of the testing personnel.This research aims to enhance the quality of highway reconstruction and expansion projects by supporting the sensible application of bridge inspection technology.

Stroke has a high incidence and disability rate, and rehabilitation is an effective means to reduce the disability rate of patients. To systematize rehabilitation assessment, which is the foundation for rehabilitation therapy, we summarize the assessment methods commonly used in research and clinical applications, including the various types of stroke rehabilitation scales and their applicability, and related biomedical detection technologies, including surface electromyography(sEMG),motion analysis systems, transcranial magnetic stimulation(TMS), magnetic resonance imaging(MRI), and combinations of different techniques. We also introduce some assessment techniques that are still in the experimental phase, such as the prospective application of artificial intelligence(AI) with optical correlation tomography(OCT) in stroke rehabilitation. This review provides a useful bibliography for the assessment of not only the severity of stroke injury, but also the therapeutic effects of stroke rehabilitation, and establishes a solid base for the future development of stroke rehabilitation skills.

Objective This study aimed to determine whether the prevalence of thyroid nodules(TNs)increased due to modern lifestyles or other factors,despite the advances in screening and diagnostic tools.Methods This study included 3474 pairs of participants,who were matched by gender and age(±3 years)from two cross-sectional sampling surveys:(1)the program on the iodine nutritional status and related health status of residents in Shanghai in 2009;(2)the thyroid disease screening program for adults in Shanghai between 2017 and 2018.The prevalence of TNs and thyroid diseases in 2009 and 2017–2018 were compared,and the potential risk factors of TNs were detected.Results The prevalence of TNs in 2009 was 28.9%:22.5%in males and 34.5%in females.In 2017,this increased to 43.8%:37.9%in males and 49.1%in females.The prevalence of TNs significantly increased from 2009 to 2017(odds ratio,1.486;95%confidence interval,1.238–1.786).In addition,female gender,thyroid disease history,and age were the main risk factors for TNs after adjusting for confounders in the logistic regression across the time period.Conclusion The prevalence of TNs significantly increased across nearly 10 years in Shanghai.

Potato spindle tuber viroid(PSTVd)disease is one of the major diseases that threatens potato production.Therefore,an advanced,rapid and sensitive detection technology is needed to detect the disease for better control.In order to establish an easier nucleic acid spot hybridization(NASH)method,some studies were tried as the followings:(1)the pre-hybridization step of nucleic acid spot hybridization(NASH)was omitted compared with ordinary way;(2)RNA extraction(phenol extraction and Ames buffer extraction)methods were compared;(3)fixed RNA by UV lamp and oven compared with UV cross-linker;(4)hybridized the RNA in shaking incubator and so on.The results showed that RNA extracted by Ames buffer was more effective than by the phenol extraction method.Besides,the result of hybridization without pre-hybridization step was better than that with 1.5 h of pre-hybridization.The more important discovery was that the shaking incubator could replace the hybridization oven and the ordinary UV lamp could replace the UV cross-linker.After a long term repeated research and testing,a new hybridization system that could rapidly detect the PSTVd by improved NASH technique merely using common instruments and equipment was established.

Objective:To summarize and expound the general situation of precision medicine for cancer according to the current international research hot spots and treatment frontiers of cancer.Methods:This article makes an inventory from five aspects of treatment methods,detection technology,new drug research and development,information data and traditional Chinese medicine,"from point to surface","from outside to inside"and"integration of Chinese and Western medicine",to explore the whole picture of tumor treatment and research.Results:With the rapid development of tumor precision medicine in recent years,the tumor treatment methods have been developed from single to multiple.The research technology has been changed from macro to micro.The therapeutic drugs have been changed from systemic chemotherapy to targeted therapy,immunotherapy and other technologies.The treatment concept has been changed from local to overall.And the integrated treatment methods of traditional Chinese and Western medicine have brought a new chapter to tumor treatment.Conclusion:Through a series of new technologies,new methods and new concepts,tumor precision medicine promotes the treatment of tumors with integrated Chinese and Western medicine into a new chapter.

Highway bridges are an important part of the transportation industry and can promote social economic construction and development.In actual operation,highway bridges are often damaged due to overload and natural factors,which tend to affect the safety and shorten the service life of these bridges.Assessing the overall state and performance of highway bridges is therefore a key element.Static load test,which is a type of sustainable detection experiment,has many advantages,including low cost,high efficiency,and high accuracy.In this paper,the bridge structure is analyzed through the application of theoretical calculations and relevant comparisons,so as to judge the operating state of the bridge.

The timely introduction and rapid development of precision medicine have provided strong theoretical support and technical support for tumor research.The treatment methods have been developed from single to multiple;the research technology has been transformed from macro to micro;the treatment drugs have been updated from systemic chemotherapy to targeted therapy and immunotherapy,and cancer has changed from a highly lethal disease to a"chronic disease".Based on the current international cancer research hotspots and treatment frontiers,this paper takes stock from five aspects,namely,treatment methods,detection technology,new drug research and development,information data and traditional Chinese medicine,with a view to"from the point to the surface","from the outside to the inside",and"the combination of Chinese and western",so as to explore the overall picture of cancer treatment and research.
