Dissolution of non-aqueous phase liquids （NAPLs） is an important subsurface transport process. However, the NAPLs dissolution processes in groundwater depend on several parameters and become an inherently complex problem. Perchloroethylene （PCE） can be known as dense non-aqueous phase liquids （DNAPLs）. In this paper, authors developed a one- dimensional model to simulate the fate and transport of PCE originating from a DNAPLs zone in saturated aquifer. Also, sensitivity analyses for bulk mass transfer coefficient and concentration change of PCE-DNAPL during dissolution process are performed. The results showed that the bulk mass transfer coefficients played an important role in dissolution processes of DNAPLs. Also, initial concentration of DNAPLs may influence the peak of aqueous-phase contamination and dissolution time.
