Dear Editor,The recent-emerging Omicron variant(B.1.1.529 lineage)of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)has raised serious public concern because of its rapid regional-and global-transmission.As of 11th January 2022,the Omicron variant has spread to 140 countries,territories or areas through infected air travelers,and the number is continuously increasing.

Tumor cells usually secrete soluble factors to improve their proliferation via autocrine network or to escape from immune surveillance by inhibiting antitumor immunity, among these factors IL-10 and IL-6 play more important roles. Since both cytokines＇ signal transductions are mediated through the STAT3 pathway, STAT3 becomes an attractive target for tumor therapy. In present study, STAT3 of murine tumor cell lines B16 and MCA-38 was constitutively activated. After treatment with STAT3-decoy ODN, the proliferation of these tumor cells was inhibited and the transcription of IL-10 or IL-6 in tumor cells was down-regulated. These results suggested that STAT3 is a good target candidate, and STAT3-decoy ODN may possibly be used as a strategy for breaking both tumor autocrine network and tumor immunotolerance.

Dynamic model of aerial towed decoy system is established and simulations are performed to research the dynamic characteristics of the system. Firstly, Kinetic equations based on spinor are built, where the cable is discretized into a number of rigid segments while the decoy is modeled as a rigid body hinged on the cable. Then tension recurrence algorithm is developed to improve computational efficiency, which makes it possible to predict the dynamic response of aerial towed decoy system rapidly and accurately. Subsequently, the efficiency and validity of this algorithm are verified by comparison with Kane's function and further validated by wind tunnel tests.Simulation results indicate that the distance between the towing point and the decoy's center of gravity is suggested to be 5%–20% of the length of decoy body to ensure the stability of system.In up-risen maneuver process, the value of angular velocity is recommended to be less than0.10 rad/s to protect the cable from the aircraft exhaust jet. During the turning movement of aircraft, the cable's extent of stretching outwards is proportional to the aircraft's angular velocity.Meanwhile, the decoy, aircraft and missile form a triangle, which promotes the decoy's performance.

Along with the current efforts to develop high-affinity neutralizing antibodies,Chan and colleagues engineered the soluble variant of human ACE2 with enhanced binding to the spike protein,outranking the soluble wild-type protein in blocking SARS-CoV-2 infection in vitro.In addition,the newly created soluble ACE2 is enzymatically active in cleaving angiotensin-2,increasing its therapeutic potential in COVID-19.

As the platform for surface-source infrared decoys,the target aircraft is the aim of attacks in air-to-air combat.It can quickly and accurately evaluate the jamming effectiveness of the surface-source IR decoy in various states of motion is important for enhancing the security of the aircraft.This paper proposes a model of surface-source IR decoy,and compares and analyzes simulated and measured infrared images of diffusion.A system to assess the effectiveness of the jamming of the surface-source IR decoy,target aircraft,and infrared guided missile called“Trinity”is established.Simulations were conducted to assess the impact of flight height,flight speed,and the maneuvering of the target aircraft on the jamming effectiveness of the surface-source IR decoy.The results show that with an increase in flight height and speed,the jamming probability of a surface-source IR decoy first increases and then decreases,where evasive maneuvering by the target aircraft can effectively improve this probability.When the radius of the vertical snake maneuver was 125 m,that of the horizontal snake maneuver was 200 m,and the radius of the barrel roll maneuver was 250 m,the jamming probability of the surface-source IR decoy was relatively high.By comparing the simulation results with measured data,the study verified the accuracy of the proposed method.

目的研究NF-κB双链寡脱氧核苷酸圈套(NF-κBdecoy ODN)对严重胸外伤肺挫伤血清NF-κB、IL-10、IL-13及肺组织NF-κB蛋白表达的影响。方法 40只新西兰白兔随机分为⑴严重胸外伤肺挫伤组(n=12);(2)严重胸外伤肺挫伤NF-κB杂链decoy ODN干预组(n=12);(3)严重胸外伤肺挫伤NF-κB正链decoy ODN治疗组(n=12);(4)对照组:正常无损伤组(n=4)。建立严重胸外伤肺损伤模型,按实验分组分别将合成的正链、杂链NF-κBdecoy ODN经颈内静脉注入,每只实验兔分别注射20μg。于肺挫伤前、挫伤后1、2、3、4h检测血清NF-κB、IL-10、IL-13及肺组织NF-κB蛋白的表达。结果肺挫伤后1h,血清中NF-κB含量升高,4h达高峰。经NF-κB正链decoy ODN治疗2h后,升高的NF-κB开始下降,3h达最低值。IL-10、IL-13的表达在肺挫伤后1h下降,并分别于挫伤后2h、4h降至最低值,经杂链decoyODN治疗后,IL-10、IL-13表达无明显改变,而经NF-κB正链decoy ODN治疗后2h,IL-10的表达明显增高,而IL-13的表达维持于较高水平,与挫伤组、杂链decoy ODN治疗组相比,差异具显著性,Pdecoy ODN治疗后挫伤肺组织NF-κB蛋白表达明显降低,差异具有显著性,Pdecoy ODN治疗,可使血清NF-κB表达减少、抗炎性细胞因子IL-10、IL-13表达升高,NF-κB蛋白表达减少。

Fulminant hepatitis is a serious, life-threatening disorder and is associated with inflammatory cytokines produced by Kupffer cells. However, a number of clinical trials for the treatment of fulminant hepatitis did not show enough substantial benefits. Since NF-κB is a key mediator of inflammatory response in Kupffer cells, NF-κB decoy would be an attractive candi-datefor the treatment of fulminant hepatitis.

目的　用decoy策略调控核因子κB(NF κB)调节组织因子 (TF)表达及相应的因子Ⅶ(FⅦ )活化 ,探讨冠心病新的防治方法。方法　用流式细胞术检测NF κBdecoy对人脐静脉内皮细胞(HUVEC)的转染效率 ,用凝胶迁移率改变竞争实验证实NF κBdecoy的作用机制 ,用RT PCR检测组织因子 (TF)mRNA ,流式细胞术检测HUVEC表面TF抗原 ,重组组织因子一期凝血法检测与HUVEC共孵育的血浆中活化因子Ⅶ (FⅦa)活性。结果　decoy能成功地转染入HUVEC内 ,能与TF启动子的κB位点顺式作用元件竞争性结合转录因子NF κB ,明显抑制肿瘤坏死因子α(TNFα)刺激的HUVECTFmRNATF抗原表达及相应的FⅦa活性。结论　NF κBdecoy能通过抑制TF表达而抑制FⅦ的激活 ,为冠心病的防治提供新的思路。
