Improved modified moving average analysis of T-wave alternans using least squares-based curve fitting.method

T-wave alternans （TWA） in surface electrocardiograph （ECG） signal is considered a marker of abnormal ventricular function which may be associated with ventricular tachy- cardia. Several methods have been developed in recent years to evaluate the important feature. One such method is known as modified moving average （MMA） analysis, which performs well for different levels of TWA, but it is sensitive to the noise in T-waves. In this paper we propose an improved MMA algorithm, which adds a stage of T-wave curve fitting.for the MMA method before intermediate averaging. The curve fitting.is performed by means of least square method technique. Our assessment study demon- strates the improved performance.

In the deregulated economy, the maximum load forecasting is important for the electric industry. Many applications are included such as the energy generation and purchasing. The aim of the present study is to find the most suitable models for the peak load of the Kingdom of Bahrain. Many mathematical methods have been developing for maximum load forecasting. In the present paper, the modeling of the maximum load, population and GDP （gross domestic product） versus years obtained. The curve fitting.technique used to find that models, where Graph 4.4.2 as a tool used to find the models. As well, Neuro-Fuzzy used to find the three models. Therefore, three techniques are used. These three are exponential, linear modeling and Neuro-Fuzzy. It is found that, the Neuro-Fuzzy is the most suitable and realistic one. Then, the linear modeling is the next suitable one.

An antenna selection algorithm for spatial multiplexing systems in BLAST receiver

In this paper, the antenna selection problem for spatial multiplexing systems in a BLAST receiver is investigated. In order to search the optimal antenna subset, a selection criterion is proposed, which is able to obtain the largest minimum post-detection SNR. The number of required antennas is deduced, which is determined by the system performance requirement for the existing RF chains. Simulation result shows that the optimal subset in a BLAST receiver has higher minimum sub-channel SNR than that in a ZF receiver. Computation of system performance can be fitted to a simple function, and it is simpler for the proposed algorithm to compute the required antenna number.

The Key point of motor design in CAD is the mathematical treatment of curves and charts used in designing. Methods of mathematical treatment may be different, but the simplest and the most convenient among them is the method to formularize these curves and charts, with which the compute program compiled for formularization is probably also the simplest one. Generally speaking, any method may be satisfactory, on condition that the results of its treatment (i. e., the formulae used to represent curves or charts) are of high accuracy.
