Researchers have attempted to measure the success of crowdfunding campaigns using a variety of determinants,such as the descriptions of the crowdfunding campaigns,the amount of funding goals,and crowdfunding project *** many successful determinants have been reported in the literature,it remains unclear whether the cover photo and the text in the title and description could be combined in a fusion classifier to better predict the crowdfunding campaign’s *** this work,we focus on the performance of the crowdfunding campaigns on GoFundMe across a wide variety of funding *** analyze the attributes available at the launch of the campaign and identify attributes that are important for each category of the ***,we develop a fusion classifier based on the random forest that significantly improves the prediction result,thus suggesting effective ways to make a campaign successful.

This paper studies pricing and observational learning in a reward-based crowdfunding campaign *** creator sets a funding target and uses different pricing strategies in order to make the project successful:menu price and other static or dynamic price strategies,such as low price,high price,and intertemporal *** a sequential game,the creator needs to choose the optimal pricing strategy with or without information *** information disclosure,the follower can infer the quality of the product by observing the former’s *** found that this observational learning effect is a double-edged sword and is positively moderated by the target when different pricing strategies are adopted:on one hand,it will benefit the creator from an intertemporal pricing strategy or high price strategy if the target is very high;on the other hand,it has an adverse effect on the profit if menu price(high price)is adopted when the target is relatively(very)*** some conditions,menu price(high price)without information disclosure will be optimal when the target is relatively(very)low.

This study aims to evaluate the crowdfunding alternatives regarding new service development process pathways of clean energy investment *** this framework,a new model has been generated by considering the consensus-based group decisionmaking with incomplete preferences,Pythagorean fuzzy decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory(DEMATEL)and technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution(TOPSIS).Moreover,a comparative evaluation has been performed with Vise Kriterijumska Optimizacija *** Resenje methodology and sensitivity analysis has been made by considering 4 different *** main contribution is to identify appropriate crowdfunding-based funding alternatives for the improvement of the clean energy investments with a novel MCDM *** considering the iteration technique and consensus-based analysis,the missing parts in the evaluations can be completed and opposite opinion problems can be ***,with the help of hybrid MCDM model by combining DEMATEL and TOPSIS,more objective results can be *** is concluded that the analysis results are coherent and *** findings indicate that the full launch is the most significant criterion for equity and debt-based crowdfunding *** the other side,the analysis has the highest weight for reward and donation-based alternatives whereas design is the most essential item regarding the royalty-based ***,it is also defined that equity-based crowdfunding alternative is the most significant for the service development process of clean energy investment *** this way,it will be possible to provide a continuous resource for clean energy investment *** the other hand,by providing financing with equity,there will be no fixed financing cost for clean energy *** these investors make a profit,they distribute dividends with the decision of their authorized bodies.

Background:Prosocial crowdfunding helps the underprivileged obtain non-profitseeking loans from multitudinous *** platforms introduce teamcompetition to motivate member participation and may thus induce team ***:We investigate how team rivalry affects lending decisions using data *** argue that a rivalry relationship may engage teams to compete directlyagainst rivals by lending to the same project or prevent them from doing sobecause they intend not to ***:We find that a team is less likely to lend to a project that has receivedfunding from its rival team,suggesting that rival teams tend to avoid ***:We discuss the implications of our findings for crowdfundingand competition-based motivation mechanisms in general.

Arousing funders’motives for crowdfunding participation is a challenge for every *** to self-determination theory,crowdfunding involvement is driven by two kinds of motivations:extrinsic and intrinsic *** narratives with different sentimental orientations could act as cues triggering funders’motives of capital-giving ***,we focus on the moderating effect of text sentiment on the motivational cues in crowdfunding *** hypothesize that the sentiment of campaign narratives moderates the relationship between motivational cues and fundraising *** are selected from 270,000 campaigns of the crowdfunding website *** analysis demonstrates that the sentiment strength positively moderates the effect of intrinsic motives on fundraising success but negatively moderates the impact of extrinsic motives on fundraising *** findings provide managerial insights for practitioners to stimulate specified motives by using the narratives with proper sentiment strength.

crowdfunding is emerging as an alternative form of funding for medical purposes,with capital being raised directly from a broader and more diverse audience of *** this paper,we have systematically researched and reviewed the literature on medical crowdfunding to determine how crowdfunding connects with the health care *** health care industry has been struggling to develop sustainable research and business models for economic systems and investors alike,especially in *** research results have revealed a wealth of evidence concerning the way crowdfunding is applied in real *** and caregivers utilize web platform–based campaigns all over the world to fund their medical expenses,generally on a spot basis,using donation-based or even reward-based schemes,regardless of the health care system archetype(public,private insurance-based or hybrid).Academics have also focused on funding campaigns and the predictors of success(which range from social behaviour and environment to the basic demographics of the campaigners and their diseases)and on social and regulatory concerns,including heightened social inequality and *** equity crowdfunding is disrupting the way many ventures/businesses seek capital in the market,our research indicates that there are no relevant or consistent data on the practice of medical equity crowdfunding in health care,apart from a few anecdotal cases.

Background:Local,state,and federal governments have started exploring the potential of crowdfunding in transforming conventional financing methods used previously to fund public projects and *** crowdfunding has been applied to improve government financing methods in recent years,little is known about how this new model can be extended and applied in international collaboration among governmentincentivized ***:In this paper,we explores what roles crowdfunding can play as a financial intermediary to support government-incentivized multinational projects in the context of the One-Belt,One-Road ***:We conjecture that crowdfunding can offer an efficient mechanism to improve participatory budgeting and facilitate private-public collaboration while providing a high level of transparency in the budget decision ***:The paper also discusses research issues and challenges,including features of the crowdfunding platforms that can affect the adoption and use of the crowdfunding platforms in multinational initiatives.

Background:crowdfunding has risen rapidly as a way of raising funds to support projects such as art projects,charity projects,and new *** is very important to understand how crowds in the crowdfunding market are organized to carry out various *** study documents and compares two crowd designs for crowdfunding,namely pure crowds,where all crowd members participate as equals,and hybrid crowds,where crowd members are led by an expert *** hybrid design is rarely studied in the crowdfunding literature despite its large presence in equity ***:We examine industry practices from various countries in terms of crowd designs,review relevant literature on this topic,and develop a conceptual framework for choosing between pure and hybrid ***:We identify several inefficiencies of pure crowds in crowdfunding platforms and discuss the advantages of hybrid *** then develop a conceptual framework that illustrates the factors for choosing between pure and hybrid ***,we discuss the issue of how to manage and regulate lead investors in hybrid ***:Pure crowds have several shortcomings that could be mitigated by a hybrid crowd design,especially when the proposed project suffers from greater risks,a high degree of information asymmetry,concerns about information leakage,and a high cost of managing the *** for the hybrid crowd to work well,one must carefully design mechanisms for lead investor selection,compensation,and *** study contributes to the crowdfunding literature and to crowdfunding practice in multiple ways.
