One of the greatest challenges in the agroecosystem is to improve cropland intensification while preserving agroecosystem services.While many studies have investigated the effect of cropland intensification on agroecosystem service,the interactive coupling and coordination among these factors remain largely unexplored.In view of this,this study performed a case study of the Loess Plateau in Shaanxi Province,China and constructed comprehensive evaluation models to quantify the cropland intensification and agroecosystem service in this area.Balance analysis and the coupling coordination degree model were used to evaluate the interactive relationship between cropland intensification and agroecosystem service,and statistical analysis and spatial autocorrelation were used to analyze the spatial characteristics and potential mechanism of the coupling coordination.Results show that both the cropland intensification and agroecosystem service in the study area were relatively low yet gradually increased from 2000 to 2020.Agroecosystem service lag was identified as the dominant unbalanced development type.Improving the supply capacity of agroecosystem services plays a key role in the balanced development of cropland in the Loess Plateau.The coupling coordination degree between cropland intensification and agroecosystem service ranges from basic coordination to serious incoordination.Therefore,cropland intensification practices in the area should be optimized to enhance this coordination degree.An upward trend was also observed in the coupling coordination degree from2000 to 2020.The withdrawal of marginal cropland in the Grain for Green program is one of the most important reasons for this trend,especially for the northern region.Around 83.6%of the high-high clusters are concentrated in the southern region of the Loess Plateau,whereas 70.5%of the low-low clusters are distributed in the northern region.These clustering characteristics are mainly attributed to the environmental suitability of these areas for agriculture and

coupling coordinated development among digital economy,regional innovation,and talent employment:A case study in the Hangzhou Metropolitan Circle,China

Coordinative development across various systems,particularly the economic,social,cultural,and human resources subsystems,is a key aspect of urban sustainability and has a direct impact on the quality of urbanization.The Hangzhou Metropolitan Circle,comprising Hangzhou City,Huzhou City,Jiaxing City,and Shaoxing City,was the first metropolitan circle approved by the National Development and Reform Commission(NDRC)as a demonstration of economic transformation in China.To evaluate the coupling coordination degree of the four cities and analyze the coordinative development in three systems(including digital economy,regional innovation,and talent employment),we collected panel data during 2015–2022 from these four cities.The development level of the three systems was evaluated by the standard deviation method and comprehensive development index.The results are as follows:(1)the level of coupling coordinated development of the three systems in the Hangzhou Metropolitan Circle was relatively low;(2)the coupling coordination degree of the four cities in the Hangzhou Metropolitan Circle showed significant regional differences,among which Hangzhou City was in the leading position,and Huzhou,Jiaxing,and Shaoxing cities made steady but slow progress in the coupling development of the three systems;and(3)the development of digital economy and talent employment needs to be strengthened.This study contributes to the coordinative development of Hangzhou Metropolitan Circle by innovatively focusing on the coupling coordination relationship among digital economy,regional innovation,and talent employment,which also meets the industrial layout of Hangzhou Metropolitan Circle.In this way,the optimal allocation and sustainable development of digital economy,regional innovation,and talent employment in the Hangzhou Metropolitan Circle can be achieved.

New urbanization and its interaction with geographic environment are the key scientific issues of sustainable development in ecologically sensitive areas.This study takes 39 counties and districts of Lanzhou-Xining Urban Agglomeration as the research unit,and selects 33 indicators of the three systems of "economy,society and ecology" to construct the index system.First,the weights are weighted using the entropy method and the coefficient of variation method.On the basis of quantitative measurement,the development level and spatial distribution characteristics of each of the three systems are analyzed.After using the coupling coordination degree model and spatial exploration analysis method,the distribution and aggregation characteristics of the coupling degree of each county are analyzed.The results show that in 2017,the distribution of "economic and "social" sub-systems in Lanzhou-Xining Urban Agglomeration shows high similarity and relevance.The hierarchical structure of the two systems is single,and both of them present a low-level independent center pattern.The area of low value areas is vast,and the radiation driving ability of core cities needs to be strengthened.he "ecological" sub-system has a higher overall score,and the distribution characteristics are lower in the middle,higher in the east and west,and the gap between the counties is smaller and there is no extreme low value.Through calculation,the coupling degree between the three systems is in the stage of high coupling and extreme coupling,and the interaction between the systems is tight and the upward trend is stable.The regional differences in coordination degree are obvious,and the proportion of low-coordination and moderate-coordinated counties is relatively high.After 2007,the degree of aggregation of various types of sub-areas decreased but the low-low-type areas still dominated.

Urbanization interacts with land use through resource consumption and space en-croachment.Clarifying the spatial correlations of the interactive relationship between urbaniza-tion and land use,along with their spatiotemporal dynamics,is of vital importance for address-ing the complex interplay between urban development and land resources and identifying re-gional differences.However,previous studies have not sufficiently explored these issues.Herein,we introduce a coupling coordination degree(CCD)model and present the results of exploratory spatiotemporal analyses involving in-depth investigation of the CcD between ur-banization quality and land-use intensity in 290 Chinese cities.The results demonstrate that the CcD for most cities was at the transition-period or basic-coordination stage.The dynamics of the spatial correlation of the CCD was found to increase from the east to the central and west-ern regions,but this was found to decline overall.The movement direction and spatial de-pendence of the local spatial structure of the CcD exerted a dominant synergistic effect.The transition of the spatial correlation was mainly Type I(stable local and neighboring morphology),showing strong transfer inertia,path dependence,and locking features.Dynamic transitions occurred more in central and eastern cities.The results suggest that more cross-city coopera-tion could contribute to moderate land-resource exploitation for high-quality urbanization.

Taking the pilgrimage,tourism and cultural island of Meizhou Island as an example,the evaluation index system of the coupling and coordinated development of“Mazu culture,socio-economy,eco-environment”(MSE)compound system was constructed.The index weights were determined by AHP-entropy method,and the coupling degree,coordinated degree,comprehensive evaluation index and grey correlation degree of MSE system of Mazu Island from 2012 to 2022 were measure.The results showed that:(1)the comprehensive evaluation indexes of the three subsystems was on the rise in general,but the evaluation index of the ecological subsystems increased relatively slowly.(2)The coupling degree was only in the running-in stage in 2012,and the other years were in the coordinated coupling stage.(3)The coupling coordination degree increased from 0.35 in 2012 to 0.82 in 2022,the coupling coordination level was changed from mild imbalance to good coordination.(4)Through the comparison of grey correlation degree,the 24 indexes in the evaluation index system had great influence on the coupling coordination degree of MSE system.The coupling coordination degree was closely related to the development of socio-economy and the spread of Mazu culture.With the rapid development of tourism brought about by the spread of Mazu culture,the pressure on the ecological environment will be increasing.Compared with the rapid growth of tourism and economy,it is equally important to strengthen environmental protection and pay attention to the quality of ecological environment development.

Impact of coupling coordination development of port and city environments on urban economic competitiveness:Evidence from the coastal port cities in eastern China

Promoting the coupling coordination development of port and its hinterland city environments is an important way to improve urban economic competitiveness.Based on relevant data of 13 coastal port cities in eastern China from 2000 to 2018,this study explores the coupling coordination development of port and city environments and its impact on urban economic competitiveness by constructing the coupling coordination degree model and the panel threshold model.The research results show that:(1)In terms of the coupling coordination development of port and city environments,most coastal ports and their hinterland cities are in a state of moderate or serious disorder.Overall,the degree of coupling coordination of port and city environments needs to be further improved;(2)The coupling coordination degree of port and city environments has a significant impact on urban economic competitiveness,and this effect gradually increases with the development of the ports and the urban economy.Among the variables that impact the urban economic competitiveness,fixed assets investment and foreign trade are significant factors that can enhance urban economic competitiveness.(3)At present,there is a“U-shaped”relationship between the coupling coordination degree of port-city environments and the urban economic competitiveness.This relationship lies on the right side of the inflection point of the“U-shaped”curve.Therefore,following the concept of assigning priority to ecological development,expanding fixed assets investment and actively developing foreign trade can further enhance the urban economic competitiveness.

“产城创”驱动下城市科创走廊协同发展评估研究——以厦泉科创走廊为例

Science and technology innovation corridors are important spatial carriers for the coordinated development of future urban agglomerations in China.Based on a coupling coordination evaluation method,this study builds an index system for the evaluation of collaborative development of the"industry-city-innovation"region,and conducts the index evaluation and coupling coordination evaluation on the"industry-city-innovation"in the Xiamen-Quanzhou Science and Technology Innovation Corridor,in the hope of exploring measurement and evaluation methods for the de-velopment level of science and technology industrial parks.Based on multidimensional quantitative evaluation,the study concludes that Xiamen and Quanzhou own a solid foundation for economic development and science and technology innovation.However,the difference in the innovation cultivation environment between the two cities is an apparent shortcoming in the construction of the science and technology innovation corridor.Moreover,according to the coupling coordination evaluation of the"industry-city-innovation"system,the result shows that the overall coupling coordination degree of Xiamen City is generally high.The various counties and districts along the Xiamen-Quanzhou Science and Technology Inno-vation Corridor are mainly affected by the coupling of"city innovation",forming an obvious spatial agglomeration form.The influence of industrial elements is relatively weak.At the same time,the study uses the gray correlation analysis method to evaluate the factors influencing the coupling co-ordination degree.It is found that in terms of the degree of influence,city>industry>innovation,and the proportion of age population of labor force,the public service index,and the proportion of added value of the tertiary industry are key factors.Finally,considering the collaborative development with"industry-city-innovation"as the driving force,this study puts forward specific policy suggestions for the construction of the Xiamen-Quanzhou Science and Technology Innovation Corrido

学前教育与经济密切相关，两者的协同有序对促进学前教育均衡发展具有重要意义。选取2011-2019年中国31个省级行政单元数据，建立学前教育和经济发展水平两系统的综合评价指标体系，运用综合评价模型和熵权法测算两系统的综合水平值，通过耦合协调度及空间自相关模型分析二者耦合协调度的时空特征及演变格局。结果表明：（1）生均财政性学前教育经费在学前教育发展中发挥关键作用；（2）学前教育和经济发展水平均逐渐提高，但两者在区域间的差距均逐渐扩大；（3）在时间上，学前教育和经济发展水平两系统耦合协调度明显提升，但协调程度较低且不均衡的问题仍然存在；（4）在空间上，集聚分布模式显著，整体上呈现出“东高西低”的格局。据此，建议从中央层面明确生均财政性学前教育经费最低标准，提升耦合协调度高值区域的空间溢出效应，地方政府则应因地制宜地促进学前教育与经济两系统的协调发展。

The construction of a livable environment for the elderly is an important measure to address the challenges of aging and improve their livelihood and well-being.Based on China’s national conditions and combined with the actual development needs of the cities,it is of great significance to explore the coupling and coordination characteristics and influencing factors within the livable environment system for the elderly for the coordination and stable development.This article was based on the three subsystems of’living service environment,socioeconomic environment and ecological livable environment’,following the research framework of’process-pattern-trend-impact’,constructs an evaluation index system for the livable environment for the elderly.Entropy weight-TOPSIS evaluation model,coupling coordination degree model,center of gravity and standard deviation ellipse model and the geographic detector model were used starting from the evolution of coupling coordination types to study the spatial and temporal pattern and dynamic trend characteristics and influencing factors of internal coupling coordination types in the livable environment system for the elderly from2010 to 2019.The results showed that:1)The coordinated development of life service environment system and ecological livable environment system(LE)and socioeconomic environment system and ecological livable environment system(SE)in the livable environment for the elderly decreased from the intermediate coordination level coordination areas to the low-level quality improvement and optimization areas:coordinated transition type.The overall development level of life service environment system and socioeconomic environment system(LS)was low,and it was always at a low level.2)The coupling degree of livable environment system for the elderly was high,the coupling coordination type shown a gradually decreasing layer structure with Zhejiang,Beijing and Guangdong high-level leading demonstration areas as the axis belt.3)The coupling coordination center of the elderl

Green Development for Supporting Sustainability of Northeast China:Performance Quantification,Spatio-temporal Dynamics and Implications

Green development is the cognition of geography to human-nature nexus under the background of the new era.As China is facing various eco-environment problems,green development has become a key approach towards ecological progress,and it is ultimately an explicit means to respond to support sustainable development in China.Quantifying green development performance is essential to track efforts towards sustainability and guide policymakers.However,applying the balanced property of’Economy-Ecology-Society’of green development to its performance assessment is rarely discussed.Here we elaborated the connotation of green development and developed a quantification model with coupling coordination degree to assess green development performance of the largest old industrial base of China,Northeast China.We found that the green development performance has been improved from a score of 0.443 in 2003 to 0.530 in 2019 but the disparities of green development performance were enlarging over time,especially for the cities in Heilongjiang.A positive spatial autocorrelation phenomenon of green development performance was confirmed,and Low-Low clusters in the northeastern Heilongjiang and High-High clusters in the central-eastern Liaoning were discovered.This study suggests the need to track the spatio-temporal dynamics of green development performance to provide references for achieving sustainable development goals in northeast China and other regions.
