Purpose:To explore the application effect of the cultivation mode of Curriculum Ideology and Political Integration of Medical Humanities to enhance the core values of medicine in the clinical internship stage of medical ***:Students in the clinical internship stage of the First Affiliated Hospital of Baotou Medical College were selected,and a total of 156 students in one random class in each grade were taken as the observation group and received the integration cultivation mode;148 students were taken as the control group and employed the traditional *** teaching effect of interns in the two groups was ***:The teaching performance of students in both groups after clinical internship teaching was improved compared with that before admission;the teaching performance,teaching effect,teaching evaluation,and teaching satisfaction of the observation group were higher than that of the control ***:The integration of the medical humanities training model with curriculum ideology and politics in the clinical internship of medical students is conducive to the improvement of teaching performance,teaching evaluation,teaching satisfaction of teachers and students,and the development and improvement of core values of medical students,which is of good value for teaching application.

Constructing core values within the Framework of “Complex Modernity”

China is caught in the tensions between“modernization and the revival of the Chinese nation,”between “socialism and capitalism,” and between “the nation-state and the trend toward globalization.”These tensions highlight three problems confronting the future development of China, and serve as an intellectual benchmark enabling us to identify China＇s place in contemporary world history and to grasp the historical trend of Chinese development. In order to solve these problems, we need to establish the idea of “complex modernity” as an analytical framework for analyzing the challenges confronting China and as a methodology for charting the country＇s future direction. We should also set up a pattern of thought consistent with the idea of“complex modernity” so as to construct the core values of contemporary Chinese society.

Tao, Virtue, Benevolence, Righteousness and Propriety:On the core values of Shu School

The core concepts of Confucianism were developed over the change of the times by Confucian scholars after Zi Si and Mencius, and have formed their respective structures: The three great principles of "benevolence, wisdom and bravery," and the self-cultivation model of "benevolence, righteousness and propriety" by Confucius. Following Confucius, Zi Si vigorously advocated the five virtues of "benevolence, righteousness, propriety, wisdom and sage."Mencius initiated the four cardinal virtues of "benevolence, righteousness, propriety and wisdom."Xun Zi often constructed the collocation of "benevolence and righteousness, rites and music, and loyalty and trustworthiness."Dong Zhongshu finally developed the five constant virtues of "benevolence, righteousness, propriety, wisdom, and trustworthiness."In a simple, clear, practical and feasible way, the core values of Confucianism have won support among the people and have had an impact on Chinese society for more than two thousand years. Being open and inclusive, the connotation of Confucianism took advantage of the strengths of different schools of philosophy in ancient China, and adopted changes from philosophies with positive attitudes. The Bashu area, in the southwest of China, has inherited the tradition of adhering to the Tao(natural order of the Universe) and valuing morality. Shu scholars have creatively built the core values of "the Tao, virtue, benevolence, righteousness and propriety," and developed a characteristic branch of philosophy above and beyond the Confucian scholars of the Central Plains. This concept stems from Yan Junping of the Western Han Dynasty, promoted by Yang Xiong, developed by Zhao Rui of the Tang Dynasty, Zhang Shangying and Su Dongpo of the Song Dynasty, and Lai Zhide of the Ming Dynasty, then further developed by Liu Yuan and Duan Zhengyuan of the Qing Dynasty, and formed the persistent system of core values of the Shu School. The ideological and cultural exchanges and exchanges in the world are fierce, different values collide and compete with each other, domestic reform and opening up are deepening, people’s ideology is diverse and changeable, and problems and contradictions are becoming more and more complex. It is an important task for the ideological and political theory course of private colleges and universities to cultivate and practice the socialist core values and promote the socialist core values to "enter the teaching materials, the classroom and the mind"（hereinafter referred to as "Three Advances"）. In this paper, the importance, basic work direction and concrete development of the education of the socialist core values are discussed.

“Chinese values” and Innovation in Philosophy and Social Sciences in Present Day China

＂Chinese values＂ is a concept defined in relation to ＂American values,＂＂Asian values＂ and the ＂Washington Consensus.＂ It is a product of the long-term development and evolution of Chinese society＇s value system and constitutes the conceptual representation and theoretical enhancement of the complexity of current Chinese values. We analyze the historical formation, evolutionary logic, pluralistic framework, underlying reasons, and inner grounds of present day China＇s complex values in a multi-dimensional context that involves history and the present as well as China and the world, looking at the synchronous coexistence in modern China of diachronic conflicts that unfolded over several hundred years in the course of Western modernization. Our contention is that present day China＇s complex value reality and value concepts should be approached by using complex ideas and techniques. In the dynamic process of integrating manifold clues and multiple changes, we will vigorously safeguard ＂Chinese interests,＂ reasonably fulfill ＂China＇s responsibilities,＂ consciously seek a ＂Chinese path,＂ soberly respond to ＂expectations of China,＂ consciously break down ＂China＇s problems＂ and appropriately demonstrate ＂China＇s confidence,＂ in order to better perform the positive function of philosophy and social sciences in interpreting and guiding the development of society.

Influence of Societal values on the Outdoor Advertising of Staple Commodities in Lagos State, Nigeria

Societal values are polysemous and its dimensions are imported into advertising to give it rich content. The polysemous character makes it sensitive and complex phenomena. For instance, value that is acceptable in the western part of Nigeria may be unacceptable in the north or east. This clearly implies that value, although may be of the people, is relative and subjective. This study made use of survey research design with a single research question set to guide it. Data were collected from 362 respondents who were purposively selected in the study area （Lagos State, Nigeria） as sample size. Data gathering were done on the field with the aid of questionnaire and analyzed with descriptive statistics. Specifically, a Table of frequency and percentage distribution was employed and scoring of variables was done vis-h-vis the responses of the consumers of staple commodities to look at the extent to which societal values have influenced product advertisements in the State. The Mean and standard deviation was calculated. The result of the study presented in Table 1 shows that all the societal values scoped for this study （culture, moral, religion, taste, language and color） influence consumers in one way or the other but the portrayal of religious design concept to influence consumers to patronize staple commodities ranked best of all. The study observed that of all the societal values traceable to advertising campaign in Lagos State, religion-inclined advertising designs are gaining a rising number of influences. It therefore concludes that religious and cultural designs, when appropriately applied help outdoor advertising to thrive well in Lagos State.
