Marine in situ testing is a necessary step for stereotyping newly developed marine sensors. The use of test sites in the Yangtze Estuary area, which has high turbidity and abundant nutrients, can effectively reduce the needed testing time owing to its harsh conditions. Five test stations were established, and a floating buoy and fixed test equipment were designed. A control system, including a sensor connection, data processor, video remote transmission, and corresponding control algorithm, was developed. The control system enabled the nondestructive monitoring of biological attachments and bidirectional, real-time communication between an upper server on land and the control system at the test sites. The dissolved oxygen(DO), temperature, and pH data of DOS600 and DPS600 sensors were compared with those of AP2000 sensors. Temperature recording using the DOS600 sensor was performed nearly as well as that of the AP2000 sensor. The mean DO values(standard deviations) were 8.414 mg L-1(2.068) and 6.896 mg L-1(1.235) for the DOS600 and AP2000 sensors, respectively, indicating that the DOS600 performance was unsatisfactory. The pH recording of the DPS600 was slightly worse than that of the AP2000 sensor. Experimental results showed that the DO value was more easily affected by the buoy movement of waves compared to the pH and temperature. Moreover, data fluctuations showed that the DO and pH parameters were more vulnerable to biofouling than temperature. Waves and biofouling create a harsh test environment, and the performance difference between the developed sensors and a standard sensor can be obtained in a short time period.

A penning plasma surface H- ion source test stand for the CSNS has just been constructed at the IHEP. In order to achieve a safe and reliable system, nearly all devices of the ion source are designed to have the capability of both local and remote operation function. The control system consists of PLCs and EPICS real-time software tools separately serving device control and monitoring, PLC integration and OPI support. This paper summarizes the hardware and software implementation satisfying the requirements of the ion source control system.

A distributed control system of Neutral Beam Injector （NBI） on the Experimental Advanced Superconducting Tokamak （EAST-NBI） is briefly presented in this paper. The control system is developed in accordance with the experimental operational characteristics of the EAST- NBI. The NBI control system （NBICS）, which is based on the computer network technologies and classified according to the control levels, consists of three levels： a remote monitoring layer, a server control layer, and a field control layer. The 3-layer architecture is capable of extending the system functions and upgrading devices. The timing system provides the reference clock of the synchronization and interlock for the EAST-NBI system. An interlock system ensures the safety of the experiment operators and field devices. Both of the ion sources of the beamline are designed to operate independently. This lays an important foundation for developing a control system for the second beamline on EAST. Experimental results demonstrate that the NBICS meets functional requirements of the EAST-NBI control, and makes experimental operations visual and automatic.

A 16 kV/20 A power supply was developed for the extraction grid of prototype radio frequency（RF） ion source of neutral beam injector. To acquire the state signals of extraction grid power supply（EGPS） and control the operation of the EGPS, a data acquisition and control system has been developed. This system mainly consists of interlock protection circuit board, photoelectric conversion circuit, optical fibers, industrial compact peripheral component interconnect（CPCI） computer and host computer. The human machine interface of host computer delivers commands and data to program of the CPCI computer, as well as offers a convenient client for setting parameters and displaying EGPS status. The CPCI computer acquires the status of the power supply. The system can turn-off the EGPS quickly when the faults of EGPS occur. The system has been applied to the EGPS of prototype RF ion source. Test results show that the data acquisition and control system for the EGPS can meet the requirements of the operation of prototype RF ion source.

In large fusion experiments, such as tokamak devices, there is a common trendfor slow control systems. Because of complexity of the plants, the so-called 'Standard Model' (SM)in slow control has been adopted on several tokamak machines. This model is based on a three-levelhierarchical control: 1) High-Level control (HLC) with a supervisory function; 2) Medium-Levelcontrol (MLC) to interface and concentrate I/O field equipments; 3) Low-Level control (LLC) withhard real-time I/O function, often managed by PLCs. FTU control system designed with SM concepts hasunderwent several stages of developments in its fifteen years duration of runs. The latestevolution was inevitable, due to the obsolescence of the MLC CPUs, based on VME-MOTOROLA 68030 withOS9 operating system. A large amount of C code was developed for that platform to route the dataflow from LLC, which is constituted by 24 Westinghouse Numalogic PC-700 PLCs with about 8000field-points, to HLC, based on a commercial Object-Oriented Real-Time database on Alpha/CompaqTru64platform. Therefore, we have to look for cost-effective solutions and finally a CompactPCI—Intelx86 platform with Linux operating system was chosen. A software porting has been done, taking intoaccount the differences between OS9 and Linux operating system in terms of Inter/Network ProcessesCommunications and I/O multi-ports serial driver. This paper describes the hardware/softwarearchitecture of the new MLC system, emphasizing the reliability and the low costs of the open sourcesolutions. Moreover, a huge amount of software packages available in open source environment willassure a less painful maintenance, and will open the way to further improvements of the systemitself.

A set of data-processing middleware for a high-powered neutral beam injection（NBI） control system is presented in this *** middleware,based on TCP/IP and multi-threading technologies,focuses mainly on data processing and *** separates the data processing and compression from data acquisition and *** provides universal transmitting interfaces for different software circumstances,such as WinCC,LabView and other measurement systems. The experimental data acquired on Windows,QNX and Linux platforms are processed by the middleware and sent to the monitoring *** are three middleware deployment models：serial processing,parallel processing and alternate serial *** using these models,the middleware solves real-time data-processing problems on heterogeneous environmental acquisition hardware with different operating systems and data applications.
