Theory and practice of construction simulation for high rockfill dam

construction simulation for high rockfill dam (CSHRD) is the technology that takes advantage of computer simulation to observe and analyze a complex construction process, which is useful for construction design and management. In this paper, the domestic and oversea research status of CSHRD is reviewed firstly, along with introduction of their present achievements and deficiencies, and the CSHRD theory is also described. Then, considering the influence of many stochastic factors, integrated simulation for high rockfill dam construction (HRDC) is presented with technologies of cycle operation network (CYCLONE) and computer simulation. It rationally combines two subsystems in HRDC, namely haulage and placement of rockfill subsystem, which reflects the actual construction objectively. Important parameters, such as the haulage intensity and traffic density, are obtained, and the process of CSHRD is represented intuitively in dynamic visualization. All of these help engineers to make rapid decisions in HRDC scientifically.

Long tunnel excavation with tunnel boring ily affected by uncertainties and needs to be adjusted machine （TBM） is a complex and stochastic process. It is eas- according to specific geological conditions in different tunnel sections, which makes the construction scheduling and management difficult. Based on the rock mass classification, this paper estimates the penetration rate. Using the rate, a cyclic network simulation （CYCLONE） model of TBM boring system is established, and the advance rates under different geological conditions are determined. Then, the impact of different cutter head thrust, which is chosen in reasonable range according to previous experiences, on pro- ject schedule is analyzed. Moreover, the simulation model of mucking system is built to determine the number of muck trains and rail intersections reasonably, regarding the efficiency of muck loading and material transporting. Based on the interaction and interrelation between TBM boring system and mucking system, the combined CY- CLONE model for the entire tunneling process is established. Then reasonable construction schedule, the utilization rate of working resources, and the probability of project completion are obtained through the model programming. At last, a project application shows the feasibility of the presented method.

＜正＞The suspend-dome structure is designed for the roof of Shenzhen pingshan basketball gymnasium for Universiade 2011,the overlapping diameter of which is 72m,along with the RC frame-shear wall system as base *** introduction of the structure features,behaviors ＆ design optimization is presented in this paper, which includes:the whole suspend-dome behavior ＆ overall stability（buckling） analysis,the construction simulation analysis,the isolated ＆ assembled modeling analysis for the base RC structure ＆ the roof steel structure,the temperature effects analysis,the finite element analysis of key *** following summaries are indicated:①the suspend-dome system could effectively stiffen the roof structure,＆ also benefit the overall stability of a singe-layer reticulated dome greatly;②the assembled modeling analysis would be essential for long-span space structure;③the temperature variation ＆ shrinkage effects on ultra-long RC structure should be noticed,the related construction simulated calculation should be necessary;④the key joint of space structure should be designed precisely.
