Poor project planning is considered a global and critical issue,it has been discussed and cited by many authors as a delay factor in the construction *** fact,project planning have several different aspects,in this research we only addresses the time aspect of project planning in construction project of（MPWH）Ministry of Public Works and Road in *** main aim of this research is particularly to examine ’poor project planning’concerning"time planning aspect"as a delay factor in construction projects carried out by the Ministry of Public Works and Road in Yemen and identify the reasons behind this issue by evaluating the procedures followed by Yemeni Ministry of Public Works and Road in conducting time planning for construction projects,investigating the reasons behind deficiencies in time planning,identifying the factors that may improve those deficiencies,and detecting factors that can impact（regardless of negative or positive consequences）project time *** order to achieve the research objective,a questionnaire was designed as the instrument of this *** questionnaire targeted a sample of 100 individuals of experts,project managers,project directors,project consultants engineer’s,projects supervisor,and administrative officers of Ministry of Public Works and Road,it was distributed among them in MPWH and all its branches in all Yemeni *** was employed as a statistical tool to analyze the respondents answer using the Frequency Index（FI）test in order to rank the respondents answer and Cronbach Alpha to measure the reliability and the internal consistency of the *** were required to answer different questions regarding their background,project time planning personnel,project time planning tools,and the relation between project time planning and project *** factors resulting in poor time planning of the construction projects of MPWH and the reasons behind were found through analysis of the data coll

In the highly overlapped contexts of urbanization and social transformation,and with the advent of the"Risk Society," the social issues,called "Not in My Back Yard(NIMBY)" conflicts,caused by the construction or operation of the NIMBY projects have become a serious problem in ***,it is in urgent need to find out the influencing factors and discover the generation mechanism of the NIMBY *** the perspective of social conflict theory,the authors built a process model of the NIMBY conflicts on the basis of identifying stakeholders and analyzing their interest ***,the authors conducted a questionnaire survey,followed by exploratory factor analysis(EFA) revealing the underlying influencing factors of the NIMBY ***,they performed the confirmatory analysis method of Structural Equation Modeling to test the preliminary research hypothesis of the model and its interaction path in AMOS 18.0,with the results showing that unequal exchange and consensus mobilization will contribute to the formation of common consciousness of the opposition party,the opposition party's common consciousness and action mobilization affects the generation of social *** process model reveals the generation mechanism of the NIMBY conflicts,and it facilitates further investigations in the governance of the NIMBY conflicts.

construction delay is a widespread issue in the construction industry of developing countries, and Nepal is no exception. These delays extend project durations and lead to cost overruns and disputes among stakeholders. To address this problem, this study aimed to identify and analyze the significant factors that contribute to construction project delays in Nepal. To gather data, a well-structured questionnaire was developed and administered to a sample of 100 participants, including contractors, consultants, and civil engineers. Various statistical tests were conducted to ensure the data’s integrity and consistency, such as reliability assessments and factor analyses. The findings of the study highlighted multiple factors contributing to delays in construction projects such as inadequate design, poor communication, and coordination among stakeholders, insufficient experience and planning by contractors, delays in material delivery and testing, labor-related problems including shortages and low qualifications, and external factors like regulatory changes and unforeseen circumstances. By identifying these major causes of construction project delays, this study presented insightful information that can contribute to the analysis and evaluation of project performance.

construction projects,including road construction,are very ***,a lot of money is spent on these projects every ***,the lack of proper planning will increase the cost and cause irreparable damage to the *** role of workshop management is one of the most important factors in increasing the cost of these types of ***,workshop management plays a very important role in improving the quality and quantity of projects and has an important place in the project implementation ***,this study evaluated the impact of workshop management on the progress of road construction projects on a case-by-case basis in road construction projects in Tehran *** to the purpose of the research,this study was a descriptive-survey *** addition,the tool used in this research was a *** statistical population of this research included all experts and specialists in road construction projects,among whom 65 people were selected by snowball *** the collected data were analyzed using SPSS *** results of this study showed that the management of the workshop and its role in the control and implementation of projects is a complex process,which can be implemented at high levels and effectively by combining scientific and experimental *** a very important point in the discussion of workshop management is applying scientific management to the use of valuable experiences from *** management knowledge not only does not negate the use of these experiences,but also emphasizes the necessity of using *** other words,improving the knowledge of workshop management is one of the requirements for the implementation of value engineering in construction projects,especially road construction,and it is very important.

In recent years, in Vietnam, economy has been developing rapidly. To ensure rapid and sustainable economic growth, strong support from the energy sector is required. Governments in Vietnam have invested in numerous hydropower projects, many of which employ the EPC (Engineering, Procurement and construction) contract. However, the EPC general contractors are facing many difficulties, resulting in schedule delays and considerable losses. This research is conducted to highlight the main risk factors in the delays of hydropower construction projects in Vietnam. The research employs the method of statistical calculations and risk analysis to obtain feedback from experts participating in similar projects. The research outcomes are as follows: identifying the risks that can cause delays in EPC hydroelectric construction projects in Vietnam;calculating and classifying the degree of impact of each risk to the progress of the construction. The practical significance of this study is to ensure the timely completion of projects, benefits for the investors, and the EPC general contractors.

The purpose of the paper is to discuss the stipulated conditions imposed at the time of grant of environment clearance from the perspective of implementation of compliance in case of construction projects in India. Conditions as imposed on 40 different building and construction projects in India from 2008 to 2013 are studied and evaluated and for a ready reference a sample of 14 representative project types is given in the paper. Based on the evaluation, we conclude that the laid down conditions are general in nature and more or less same irrespective of the location or type of the project may be an educational institute, hospital, office, hotel, group housing, bus terminus, or multiplex and whether it graded platinum or bronze in rating or ungraded. The impacts of the project nowhere find a mention in the stipulated conditions and thus there is no correlation between the conditions imposed and the baseline environment parameters. There is a dire need to rework the stipulated conditions itself on the lines of environment management plan proposed by the project proponent including setting apart the cost of implementation, if an effective compliance as envisaged by Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India is to be achieved.

The process of engaging private sector in the provision of public infrastructure can improve economic value in service delivery and enable the government to utilize the capabilities and expertise held by private sector. This has a positive impact on the public in terms of improving their well-being. This literature review attempts to compare the challenges encountered in implementation of PPP projects across the world, with a view to determining cross cutting challenges and recommendations for developing countries. A literature review was conducted for empirical studies focusing on construction projects. The studies are reviewed by analyzing the methodology used and conclusions made to identify the geographical study area, Public Private Partnership project financing model, emerging challenges and recommendation for future project management. The literature search was based on four keywords: construction projects, completion of construction projects, public private partnership, challenges in construction projects. Thus, a total of 11 empirical studies were identified for review in Europe, Asia and Africa. The review revealed that most risk factors affecting project completion can be categorized as human and organizational factors and unknown geotechnical conditions that were not known beforehand. Specifically, project owners’ interference was also attributable to delays with the delays having significant implications for project execution. Risks have great impact on the performance of construction projects because they affect their quality, time and cost. The general remedy to such potential risk factors is adoption of reliable prediction mechanisms which would estimate those factors using a probabilistic model that does not rely on expert judgments as they tend to be unreliable.

Effects. of Change Orders through Technical Programs on construction projects in Jordan

Regarding construction projects, no project is implemented exactly as planned. Changes in construction projects are common due to the dynamic nature of the construction process. It is necessary to use effective and appropriate tools by project management to support decision-making and control changes during all stages of project implementation. This study examined the effects of change orders through technical programs on construction projects in Jordan and focused on how to overcome these effects by making usual orders that can be handled by each of the contracting parties. Also, this study added an advantage by not addressing the negative effects of change orders, but it provided many positive effects of change orders by using technical programs method, which has not been yet researched in Jordanian studies in particular, and in global studies in general. The researcher used descriptive analytical method by interviews to collect data through nine questions to a random sample of 30 engineers selected form constructions projects in Jordan. The results related to the study questions on the effect of change orders through technical programs on construction projects in Jordan showed that, most of the study samples confirm that change orders through technical programs decrease the cost of the projects, cause no need for more materials, cause no delay in the completion schedule, enhances the quality of work, and increase the productivity of the work force. The study recommended applying integrated change management system with technical supports form different technologies, developing effective innovative and practical solution to manage change orders and increase training programs to qualify and increase engineering skills in dealing with ICT （information and communication technologies） program.

There is increase in the issues related to noise pollution due to their negative impacts on the *** ability of materials to absorb noise creates future problems for the building and for the residents;although,temporary presence of construction noise holds minor importance for some *** study aims to assess the role of materials and labour allocation in cost-effective soundproof house construction *** efficiency of synthetic foam,polyurethane and cellular materials was explored in providing insulation in multiple construction *** soundproofing solutions such as rubber,gypsum,homasote,plywood and natural fibres were discussed in the light of *** can be guaranteed by using environmentally-friendly,natural,degradable and recycled products in the construction *** study helped in highlighting the materials that can help in building soundproof construction *** results indicated the need for applying modern,synthetic,cost-effective and green sound-absorbing systems in construction *** safety along with minimal maintenance and longevity of the completed construction projects is maintained by advancements in technological efficiency of building *** adaptation of Western construction technologies will ensure success in building construction projects as modern building materials play a significant role in building of sound proof construction buildings.
