Wearable biosensors have received great interest as patient-friendly diagnostic technologies because of their high flexibility and *** growing research and utilization of novel materials in designing wearable biosensors have accelerated the development of point-of-care sensing platforms and implantable biomedical devices in human health *** numerous potential materials,conjugated polymers(CPs)are emerging as ideal choices for constructing high-performance wearable biosensors because of their outstanding conductive and mechanical ***,CPs have been extensively incorporated into various wearable biosensors to monitor a range of target ***,fabricating highly reliable CP-based wearable biosensors for practical applications remains a significant challenge,necessitating novel developmental strategies for enhancing the viability of such ***,this review aims to provide consolidated scientific evidence by summarizing and evaluating recent studies focused on designing and fabricating CP-based wearable biosensors,thereby facilitating future *** the superior properties and benefits of CPs,this review aims to clarify their potential applicability within this ***,the fundamentals and main components of CP-based wearable biosensors and their sensing mechanisms are discussed in *** recent advancements in CP nanostructures and hybridizations for improved sensing performance,along with recent innovations in next-generation wearable biosensors are *** wearable biosensors have been—and will continue to be—an ideal platform for developing effective and user-friendly diagnostic technologies for human health monitoring.

Designing cost-effective and high-performing metal catalysts is significant for many renewable energy conversion *** metal loading without sacrificing activity and durability is highly desired for the catalyst design,especially for those reactions where the noble metals deliver the best catalyzing ***-atom catalysts(SACs)with maximal metalatom utilization,homogeneous and tailorable active sites have emerged as promising catalyst candidates,where the local coordination structures of the metal atoms in SACs largely determine the reaction *** design strategies of constructing strong metal-support interactions can stabilize the individual metal atoms in SACs,but present obstacles to provide a flexible manipulation platform for elaborately tailoring the coordination structures to achieve performance optimization towards a specifically targeted ***,for the proof-of-concept study,we report a novel design of SAC with iridium(Ir)single atoms supported on conjugated polymer,in which the adsorption energies of reaction intermediates on Ir atoms and the reaction kinetics towards acidic water oxidation can be readily optimized through modulating the formed cation-πinteractions that can be tailored by adjusting the molecular structures of conjugated *** strategy establishes a general route to develop targeted SACs for various catalytic reactions.

In principle,conjugated polymers can work as electron donors and thus as low-cost p-type organic semiconductors to transport holes in photovoltaic *** the booming interests in high-efficiency and low-cost solar cells to tackle global climate change and energy shortage,hole transporting materials(HTMs)based on conjugated polymers have received increasing attention in the past *** this perspective,recent advances in HTMs for a range of photovoltaic devices including dye-sensitized solar cells(DSSCs),perovskite solar cells(PSCs),and silicon(Si)/organic heterojunction solar cells(HSCs)are summarized and perspectives on their future development are also presented.

Development of organic semiconductors is one of the most intriguing and productive topics in material science and engineering. Many efforts have been made on the synthesis of aromatic building blocks such as benzene, thiophene and pyrrole due to the facile preparation accompanied by the intrinsic environmental stability and relatively efficient properties of the resulting polymers. In the past, furan has been less explored in this field because of its high oxidation potential. Recently, furan has attracted obsession due to its weaker aromaticity, the greater solubilities of furan-containing π-conjugated polymers relative to other benzenoid systems and the accessibility of furan-based starting materials from renewable resources. This review elaborates the advancements of organic photovoltaic polymers containing furan building blocks. The uniqueness and advantages of furan-containing building blocks in semiconducting materials are also discussed.

Low-bandgap conjugated polymers based on benzodipyrrolidone with reliable unipolar electron mobility exceeding 1 cm^(2) V^(-1)s^(-1)

The employment of an intrinsic quinoidal building block,benzodipyrrolidone(BDP),on constructing conjugated polymers(PBDP-2F and PBDP-2CN)with high electron mobility and unipolar transport characteristic in polyethylenimine ethoxylated(PEIE)modified organic field-effect transistors(OFETs)is *** intrinsic quinoidal characteristic and excellent coplanarity of BDP can lower the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital(LUMO)levels and improve ordered interchain packing of the resulting polymers in solid states,which are favorable for electron-injection and *** using PEIE as the interlayer to block the hole injection,unipolar n-type transport characteristics with high electron mobility of 0.58 and 1.01 cm^(2) V^(-1)s^(-1)were achieved by the OFETs based on PBDP-2F and PBDP-2CN,*** importantly,the extracted mobilities are highly reliable with the reliability factor of above 80%.To the best of our knowledge,PBDP-2CN is the very first quinoid-based conjugated polymer with reliable electron mobility exceeding 1 cm^(2) V^(-1)s^(-1).This work represents a significant step in exploring intrinsic quinoidal CPs for application in n-channel OFETs and logic complementary circuits.

Thienopyrazine or Dithiadiazatrindene Containing Low Band Gap conjugated polymers for Polymer Solar Cells

Four new low-band-gap alternating copolymers （P-1, P-2, P-3 and P-4） based on electron-rich benzodithiophene and newly developed electron-deficient units, thienopyrazine or dithiadiazatrindene derivatives, were synthesized by Stille polycondensation. All polymers exhibit good solubility in common organic solvents and a broad absorption band in the visible to near-infrared regions. The film optical band gaps of the polymers are in the range of 1.28-2.07 eV and the highest occupied molecular orbital （HOMO） energy levels are in the range of-4.99 eV to -5.28 eV. Bulk heterojunction polymer solar cells （PSCs） of the polymers were fabricated with phenyl-C61-butyric acid methyl ester （PC61BM） as acceptor material, and a power conversion efficiency of 0.80% was realized with P-1 as donor material.

Evaluating the photovoltaic properties of two conjugated polymers synthesized by Suzuki polycondensation and direct C–H activation

Two conjugated polymers HXS-1 and PDFCDTBT were prepared by direct C–H activation and Suzuki polycondensation and their chemical structures were characterized by 1H NMR *** molecular weight of conjugated polymer synthesized by direct C–H activation is lower than the corresponding polymers prepared by Suzuki *** polymers synthesized by direct C–H activation have considerable solubility in common organic solvents and form amorphous *** photovoltaic property of conjugated polymers synthesized by direct C–H activation is inferior to the corresponding polymers synthesized by Suzuki polycondensation.

Cationic conjugated polymers for detection and inactivation of pathogens

conjugated polymers （CPs） are referred to a kind of fluorescent polymer materials with delocalized n-conjugated backbones. For the last decades, cationic CPs （CCPs） have been widely used in biosensor, imaging and biomedical fields due to their good photophysical properties and solubility in water medium resulting from side chain modification with ionized moieties. In this mini-review, we mainly introduced the applications of CCPs in detection and inactivation of pathogen with typical examples, and also briefly discussed the relevant mechanisms. We hold the expectation that this mini-review can offer researchers a general reference and inspire them to construct new systems with high performances of pathogen detection and antimicrobial activity.

Single-chain and monolayered conjugated polymers for molecular electronics

Exploring the charge transport properties and electronic functions of molecules is of primary interest in the area of molecular *** polymers（CPs） represent an attractive class of molecular candidates,benefiting from their outstanding optoelectronic ***,they have been less studied compared with the small-molecule family,mainly due to the difficulties in incorporating CPs into molecular *** this review,we present a summary on how to fabricate CP-based singlechain and monolayered junctions,then discuss the transport behaviors of CPs in different junction architectures and finally introduce the potential applications of CPs in molecular-scale electronic *** the research on CP-based molecular electronics is still at the initial stage,it is widely accepted that（1） CP chains are able to mediate long-range charge transport if their molecular electronic structures are properly designed,which makes them potential molecular wires,and（2） the intrinsic optoelectronic properties of CPs and the possibility of incorporating desirable functionalities by synthetic strategies imply the potential of employing tailor-made polymeric components as alternatives to small molecules for future molecular-scale electronics.
