The conceptual design of mechatronic systems is addressed under the thrust of concurrent engineering and an enhanced conceptual design methodology describing the early design stage of mechatronic systems is presented through an example illustration of a pick and place *** methodology treats each feasible solution as a solution *** the methodology,Quality Function Deployment(QFD)is used as a baseline for the analysis of the mapping from customers to engineering requirements,Axiomatic design(AD)is adopted as a guideline to generate feasible,good design solution alternatives,and Theory of Inventive Problem Solving(TRIZ)is applied to deal with domain conflicts in design.

As one of the series of fusion system design concepts developed in China,the fusion power plant FDS-Ⅱwas designated to exploit and evaluate potential attractiveness of fusion energy application for the generation of electricity on the basis of conservatively advanced plasma parameters,which can be limitedly extrapolated from the successful operation of *** options of specific liquid LiPb blanket concepts for FDS-Ⅱhave been proposed,*** He/LiPb Dual-cooled Lithium Lead (DLL) breeder blanket (～700℃coolant outlet temperature) and the He-cooled Quasi-Static Lithium Lead (SLL) breeder blanket (～450℃coolant outlet temperature) with the RAFM steel as the structural *** this paper,an overview of the FDS-Ⅱconceptual design is presented and a series of performance analyses are *** further R&D needs are specified.

Near space airship conceptual design and optimization

A series of fusion power plants (named FDS series) have been designed and assessed for the examination of the feasibility and the safety,environmental and economical potential of fusion with emphasizing the blanket design optimization on neutronics, thermal-hydraulics,electro-magnetics,material,structural performance analyses in *** concepts have been developing, which are the fusion-driven subcritical system (FDS-I) with the goal of transmutation of the long-lived nuclear wastes and breeding of fissile nuclear fuels,the fusion power reactor (FDS-Ⅱ) with the goal of electricity generation,the fusion-based hydrogen production reactor (FDS-Ⅲ) and the spherical tokamak-based compact reactor (FDS-ST).Four types of blankets, including the He/LiPb dual-cooled high level waste transmutation (DWT) blanket,the He single-cooled LiPb tritium breeder (SLL) blanket and the He/LiPb dual-cooled (DLL) blanket,the high temperature liquid LiPb (HTL) blanket,and Test Blanket Modules (TBMs) and the testing strategy have been studied.R&D status on materials,design and analysis tools are also presented.

This research is dedicated to assessment of a method that was earlier proposed and developed in order to increase the degree of automation and software involvement into conceptual decision making during design of structural elements of buildings. Such instruments of the theory of inventive problem solving as contradiction and function analysis and trimming formed the basis of the proposed approach that was realized in a modern building information modeling software. The common logic of the approach is also provided in the article. Qualitative research methods and particularly collecting, analyzing and interpreting data were applied in this research. Firstly, a literature review of indexed journal articles in the field of the study was performed and some trends for possible development of the topic were identified. Secondly, a survey of potential users of the methodology was conducted and analyzed. The questionnaire results showed that the suggested method and its technical realization gained attraction among respondents, however, some of them are rather cautious regarding application of the approach potentials in their practice. The paper ends with evaluation results discussion, conclusion and proposals for further research.

In CAD/CAM integration, the source information must be produced from the conceptual design of product. A gear box conceptual design expert system for planomilling machines was developed which solved the problemof information integration from conceptual design to detail *** problem-solving model for the conceptual design of mechanical products is *** system architecture and the function of the main modules are described. The basic structure for the object-oriented knowledge representation and its formalizsd representation arediscussed in detail. Finally, implementation of the scheme layout and its control flow chart are explored using several samples.

Based on the definition of a logic structure feature to relate logically functional requirements to geometric representation independent upon detailed geometric representation, this paper presents an idea of logical structure modeling for computer aided conceptual design and makes attempt to establish a representation formalism of logic structure modeling. The definition and representation of logical structure feature are given and an assembly module definition for supporting top down conceptual design is also proposed. The proposed scheme contributes to several aspects of conceptual design research, especially to provide elementarily a formal methodology for computer aided conceptual design system development and operation. 
