Fault diagnosis and isolation is necessary in obtaining reliable and stable operations of complex dynamical networks. This paper presents a novel fault detection and isolation（FDI） method for complex dynamic networks with uncertainties. In the proposed FDI architecture, a fault detection estimator（FDE） and a bank of fault isolation estimators（FIEs） are designed for fault diagnosis and isolation in each local subsystem. When a fault is detected by the FDE in one subsystem, the corresponding FIEs are activated to figure out which type of fault is taking place in the subsystem. It is effective to monitor changes in complex dynamical networks with uncertainties for fault diagnosis and isolation. In addition, some numerical simulations are done to illustrate the effectiveness of this method.

＜正＞In this paper, chaos synchronization in complex dynamical networks is proposed based on state observer design. Only a scalar link is required for coupling between two directly connected nodes in a dynamical network to achieve network synchronization. Sufficient conditions of chaos synchronization in dynamical networks are derived and proved based on Master Stability Function （MSF） and the Lyapunov stability theory, which can be transformed to Linear Matrix Inequality （LMI）, and be easily solved with the LMI numerical toolbox. Two typical dynamical network configurations, i.e., globally coupling and nearest-neighbor coupling, with each node being a modified Chua circuit, are simulated, showing the effectiveness of the proposed scheme of chaos synchronization in the network.

Pinning weighted complex networks with heterogeneous delays by a small number of feedback controllers

Weighted complex dynamical networks with heterogeneous delays in both continuous-time and discrete-time domains are controlled by applying local feedback injections to a small fraction of network nodes. Some generic stability criteria ensuring delay-independent stability are derived for such controlled networks in terms of linear matrix inequalities （LMIs）, which guarantee that by placing a small number of feedback controllers on some nodes the whole network can be pinned to some desired homogenous states. In some particular cases, a single controller can achieve the control objective. It is found that stabilization of such pinned networks is completely determined by the dynamics of the individual uncoupled node, the overall coupling strength, the inner-coupling matrix, and the smallest eigenvalue of the coupling and control matrix. Numerical simulations of a weighted network composing of a 3-dimensional nonlinear system are finally given for illustration and verification.

Recently, much work has been devoted to the study of a large-scale complex system described by a network or a graph with complex topology, whose nodes are the elements of the system and whose edges represent the interactions among them. On the other hand, realistic modelling of many large networks with nonlocal interaction inevitably requires connection delays to be taken into account, since they naturally arise as a consequence of finite information transmission and processing speeds among the units. This paper gives the sufficient conditions guaranteeing the local and global synchronization stability of the complex connected networks by using Lyapunov functional.

This paper concerns the global synchronization problem of a class of complex dynamical networks with each node being a Lur’e system whose nonlinearity satisfying a slope *** synchronization problem is reformulated in the framework of the absolute stability *** is shown that the global synchronization of the network can be reduced to the test of a LMI,which in turn guarantees the absolute stability of the corresponding Lur’e system whose dimension is the same as that of a single node.A circle type criterion in frequency domain is further presented,in virtue of which the synchronization of the network can be checked *** is demonstrated that the synchronizabiliby of the network can be characterized by the second largest eigenvalue of its coupling ***,a network of Chua’s oscillators is provided as a simulation example to illustrate the effectiveness of the theoretical results.

This present paper investigates synchronization dynamics of a general model of complex delayed dynamical networks with intermittent *** simple yet generic criteria for global synchronization of such intermittent coupled dynamical networks are derived *** turns out that the coupled delayed dynamical networks can always achieve synchronization even there are connections among the nodes only at some discrete ***,the results are applied to a typical nearest neighboring coupled SF networks consisting of the chaotic delayed Hopfield neural network,and numerical simulations are carried out to verify and also visualize the theoretical results.

Multi-Agent Systems(MAS)are,nowadays,an important research area within Robotics and Artificial *** by recent advances in synchronization theory of complex dynamical network,this paper develops a general methods of controller design for formation reaching and group motion controlling of the MAS.A novel motion model of MAS is presented at *** on this model,the design method of decentralized controller for each agent is *** stability properties of the system is also analyzed in *** this control scheme the topology of the control interconnections is fixed and *** control policy ensures that all agents eventually move in group formation with desired group motion dynamics while at same time avoid *** the end,the validity of this scheme is supported by computer simulation.
