To tackle the difficulties of the point prediction in quantifying the reliability of landslide displacement prediction,a data-driven combination-interval prediction method(CIPM)based on copula and variational-mode-decomposition associated with kernel-based-extreme-learningmachine optimized by the whale optimization algorithm(VMD-WOA-KELM)is proposed in this ***,the displacement is decomposed by VMD to three IMF components and a residual component of different fluctuation *** key impact factors of each IMF component are selected according to Copula model,and the corresponding WOA-KELM is established to conduct point ***,the parametric method(PM)and non-parametric method(NPM)are used to estimate the prediction error probability density distribution(PDF)of each component,whose prediction interval(PI)under the 95%confidence level is also *** means of the differential evolution algorithm(DE),a weighted combination model based on the PIs is built to construct the combination-interval(CI).Finally,the CIs of each component are added to generate the total PI.A comparative case study shows that the CIPM performs better in constructing landslide displacement PI with high performance.

Based on the new process named "combination method" for metallurgy and separation of Baotou mixed rare earth concentrate(BMREC),the aim of this paper is to clearly elucidate the phase change behavior of BMREC without additives during oxidative roasting at 450-800℃.The results indicate that the bastnaesite in BMREC is decomposed at 450-550℃,the weight loss is about 10.3 wt%,and the activation energy(E) is 144 kJ/*** bastnaesite in BMREC is decomposed into rare earth fluoride,rare earth oxides(La_(2)O_(3),Ce_(7)O_(12),Pr_(6)O_(11) and Nd_(2)O_(3)),and CO_(2),particularly,with the increase of roasting temperature,bastnaesite in BMREC is more completely decomposed into LaF_(3),which causes a decrease in leaching rate of La during the HCI leaching ***,the maximum cerium oxidation efficiency reaches about 60 wt% when the roasting temperature is equal to or above 500℃,and the oxidation reaction rate of cerium increases with the increasing roasting temperature.

For the drum of hot rolling coiler is prone to be easily destroyed, the type of MMU-5G abrasion tester was applied to revealing the friction and wear behavior. The morphology observation by scanning electron microscope (SEM) demonstrates the wear mechanism of the drum, and the test data of the influence coefficient of the normal pressure, relative sliding speed and surface lubrication conditions acted on the linear rate of the wear could be obtained by the regression method. A calculation model, which considers the factors of the structure of the drum, coiling tension and coiling strip specifications, was established by the combination method to predict the wear life of the drum. Then the practical production data was applied into this model and the analysis result was in good accordance with that of actual production.

The design and implementation of EATS, a machine translation system for e-mail, are presented. It first puts forward the notion of “instant machine translation service" and illustrates how it is provided through client-server mode in EATS. Then this paper gives a panoramic view of the realization of Chinese-English bi-directional translation module through multi-engine strategy. The prototype of the system has been successfully demonstrated in campus net in PPP mode, with 70%～80% translation accuracy.

Linking individual-tree and whole-stand models for forest growth and yield prediction

Background： Different types of growth and yield models provide essential information for making informed decisions on how to manage forests. Whole-stand models often provide well-behaved outputs at the stand level, but lack information on stand structures. Detailed information from individual-tree models and size-class models typically suffers from accumulation of errors. The disaggregation method, in assuming that predictions from a whole-stand model are reliable, partitions these outputs to individual trees. On the other hand, the combination method seeks to improve stand-level predictions from both whole-stand and individual-tree models by combining them. methods： Data from 100 plots randomly selected from the Southwicte Seed Source Study of Ioblolly pine （Pinus taedo L） were used to evaluate the unadjusted individual-tree model against the disaggregation and combination methods. Results： Compared to the whole-stand model, the combination method did not show improvements in predicting stand attributes in this study. The combination method also did not perform as well as the disaggregation method in tree-level predictions. The disaggregation method provided the best predictions of tree- and stand-level survival and growth. Conclusions： The disaggregation approach provides a link between individual-tree models and whole-stand models, and should be considered as a better alternative to the unadjusted tree model.
