A non-contact low-frequency(LF)method of diagnosing the plasma surrounding a scaled model in a shock tube is *** method utilizes the phase shift occurring after the transmission of an LF alternating magnetic field through the plasma to directly measure the ratio of the plasma loop average electron density to collision *** equivalent circuit model is used to analyze the relationship of the phase shift of the magnetic field component of LF electromagnetic waves with the plasma electron density and collision *** applicable range of the LF method on a given plasma scale is *** upper diagnostic limit for the ratio of the electron density(unit:m^(-3))to collision frequency(unit:Hz)exceeds 1×10^(11),enabling an electron density to exceed 1×10^(20)m^(-3)and a collision frequency to be less than 1 *** this work,the feasibility of using the LF phase shift to implement the plasma diagnosis is also *** experiments on shock tube equipment are conducted by using both the electrostatic probe method and LF *** comparing the diagnostic results of the two methods,the inversion results are relatively consistent with each other,thereby preliminarily verifying the feasibility of the LF *** ratio of the electron density to the collision frequency has a relatively uniform distribution during the plasma *** LF diagnostic path is a loop around the model,which is suitable for diagnosing the plasma that surrounds the ***,the causes of diagnostic discrepancy between the two methods are *** proposed method provides a new avenue for diagnosing high-density enveloping plasma.

Computer simulation of the collision frequency of two particles in optical tweezers

Optical tweezers have been successfully used in the study of colloid science. In most applications people are concerned with the behaviour of a single particle held in the optical tweezers. Recently, the ability of the optical tweezers to simultaneously hold two particles has been used to determine the stability ratio of colloidal dispersion. This new development stimulates the efforts to explore the characteristics of a two-particle system in the optical *** infinite spherical potential well has been used to estimate the collision frequency for two particles in the optical trap based on a Monte Carlo simulation. In this article, a more reasonable harmonic potential, commonly accepted for the optical tweezers, is adopted in a Monte Carlo simulation of the collision frequency. The effect of hydrodynamic interaction of particles in the trap is also considered. The simulation results based on this improved model show quantitatively that the collision frequency drops down sharply at first and then decreases slowly as the distance between the two particles increases. The simulation also shows how the collision frequency is related to the stiffness of the optical tweezers.

The interaction collision cross-section of the microscopic particles is one of the key parameters for obtaining the internal properties of particles and the transmission performance among ***,molecules in the excited vibrational states have a larger collision cross-section than that of the unexcited molecules in the ground state,for which to the natural abundance methanol gas,however,our light-induced drift experimental and calculation results have shown the inverted *** relative difference in collision frequency and in collision cross-section between particles in the excited state and ground state have been found to be negative by measuring the magnitude of light-induced *** considering of intermolecular Stockmayer potential averaged over the orientation of the polar to methanol molecule,the relative difference in diffusion coefficient which is proportionally related to the relative difference in collision cross-section is calculated,in which the relative change of the dipole moment of methanol is the main term and is found to be *** calculated results are consistent within the range of experimental error with the measured dipole moment values of methanol from Stark splitting observations.
