Technologies of underground mobile positioning were proposed based on LiDAR data and coded sequence pattern landmarks for mine shafts and tunnels environment to meet the needs of fast and accurate positioning and navigation of equipments in the mine underground without satellite navigation signals. A coded sequence pattern was employed for automatic matching of 3D scans. The methods of SIFT feature, Otsu segmentation and fast hough transformation were described for the identification, positioning and interpretation of the coded sequence patterns, respectively. The POSIT model was presented for speeding up computation of the translation and rotation parameters of LiDAR point data, so as to achieve automatic 3D mapping of mine shafts and tunnels. The moving positioning experiment was applied to evaluating the accuracy of proposed pose estimation method from LiDAR scans and coded sequence pattern landmarks acquired in an indoor environment. The performance was evaluated using ground truth data of the indoor setting so as to measure derivations with six degrees of freedom.

In this paper, we focus on the design of irregular QC-LDPC code based multi-level coded modulation(MLCM) scheme by jointly optimizing the component code rate and the degree distribution of the irregular QC-LDPC component code. Firstly, the sub-channel capacities of MLCM systems is analyzed and discussed, based on which the optimal component code rate can be obtained. Secondly, an extrinsic information transfer chart based two-stage searching algorithm is proposed to find the good irregular QC-LDPC code ensembles with optimal component code rates for their corresponding sub-channels. Finally, by constructing the irregular QC-LDPC component codes from the designed ensembles with the aim of possibly enlarging the girth and reducing the number of the shortest cycles, the designed irregular QC-LDPC code based 16QAM and 64QAM MLCM systems can achieve 0.4 dB and 1.2 dB net coding gain, respectively, compared with the recently proposed regular QC-LDPC code based 16QAM and 64QAM MLCM systems.

Presents the study on the optimum location of actuators/sensors for active vibration control in aerospace flexible structures with the performance function first built by maximization of dissipation energy due to control action and a real coded genetic algorithm then proposed to produce a global optimum solution, and proves the feasibility and advantages of this algorithm with the example of a standard test function and a two collocated actuators/sensors cantilever, and comparing the results with those given in the literatures.

UAV data link has been considered as an important part of UAV communication system, through which the UAV could communicate with warships. However, constant coding and modulation scheme that UAV adopts does not make full use of the channel capacity when UAV communicates with warships in a good channel environment. In order to improve channel capacity and spectral efficiency, adaptive coded modulation technology is studied. Based on maritime channel model, SNR estimation technology and adaptive threshold determination technology, the simulation of UAV data link communication is carried out in this paper. Theoretic analysis and simulation results show that according to changes in maritime channel state, UAV can dynamically adjust the adaptive coded modulation scheme on the condition of meeting target Bit-Error-Rate (BER), the maximum amount of data transfer is non-adaptive systems three times.

In this paper, we propose to generalize the coding schemes first proposed by Kozic &al to high spectral efficient modulation schemes. We study at first Chaos coded Modulation based on the use of small dimensional modulo-MAP encoding process and we give a solution to study the distance spectrum of such coding schemes to accurately predict their performances. However, the obtained performances are quite poor. To improve them, we use then a high dimensional modulo-MAP mapping process similar to the low-density generator-matrix codes (LDGM) introduced by Kozic &al. The main difference with their work is that we use an encoding and decoding process on GF (2m) which enables to obtain better performances while preserving a quite simple decoding algorithm when we use the Extended Min-Sum (EMS) algorithm of Declercq &Fossorier.

After a code-table has been established by means of node association information from signal flow graph, the totally coded method (TCM) is applied merely in the domain of code operation beyond any figure-earching algorithm. The code-series (CS) have the holo-information nature, so that both the content and the sign of each gain-term can be determined via the coded method. The principle of this method is simple and it is suited for computer programming. The capability of the computer-aided analysis for switched current network (SIN) can be enhanced.

High-throughput satellite (HTS) systems usually make use of Multibeam coverage at high frequency bands in order to offer broadband access of large areas. Multibeam coverage increases the available capacity through frequency reuse and spatial separation. However, one of its major drawbacks is inter- spot interference which considered the motivation to propose a new approach using a coding technique to distinguish between beams that will be employed to mitigate this interference without the need of frequency reuse. This approach makes the use of orthogonal codes to identify beams and allow using the total satellite bandwidth per beam. Proposed system double the bandwidth used in each beam and save the usage of antenna polarization resource used in former designs, which may be used as a multiple accessing resource inside the coded beams. The objective of this paper is to provide a comprehensive performance assessment methodology for the proposed approach. Result validation is introduced by comparing the proposed system performance with conventional systems that relay on the DVB standards.

A new descriptor, called vector of topological and structural information for coded and noncoded amino acids (VTSA), was derived by principal component analysis (PCA) from a matrix of 66 topological and structural variables of 134 amino acids. The VTSA vector was then applied into two sets of peptide quantitative structure-activity relationships or quantitative sequence-activity modelings (QSARs/QSAMs). Molded by genetic partial least squares (GPLS), support vector machine (SVM), and immune neural network (INN), good results were obtained. For the datasets of 58 angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors (ACEI) and 89 elastase substrate catalyzed kinetics (ESCK), the R 2, cross-validation R 2, and root mean square error of estimation (RMSEE) were as follows: ACEI, R cu 2 ?0.82, Q cu 2 ?0.77, E rmse?0.44 (GPLS+SVM); ESCK, R cu 2 ?0.84, Q cu 2 ?0.82, E rmse?0.20 (GPLS+INN), respectively.
