Optimal set integer programming algorithm for multiple maneuvering targets tracking in clutter

The aim of this paper is to solve the problems of multitarget tracking in clutter. Firstly, the data association of measurement-to-target is formulated as an integer programming problem. Through using the linear programming （LP） based branchand-bound method and adjusting the constraint conditions, an optimal set integer programming （OSIP） algorithm is then proposed for tracking multiple non-maneuvering targets in clutter. For the case of maneuvering targets, this paper introduces the OSIP algorithm into the filtering step of the interacting multiple model （IMM） algorithm resulting in the IMM based on OSIP algorithm. Extensive Monte Carlo simulations show that the presented algorithms can obtain superior estimations even in the case of high density noises.

Improved STAP algorithm based on APES

Space-time adaptive processing（STAP） has been proven to be one of the best techniques capable of detecting weak moving targets in strong clutter.environment and has been widely applied in airborne ground moving target indication（GMTI） *** paper applies an amplitude and phase estimation（APES） approach to two aspects of the STAP ***,APES is applied to accurately describe the clutter.characteristic in angle-Doppler ***,APES is incorporated into the standard STAP algorithm to improve its performance without increasing transmitting/receiving channel and pulse *** experimental examples show that the detection performance can be improved by using the APES technique,as well as the high computational complexity can be avoided.

Combinatorial fractal Brownian motion model

To solve the problem of how to determine the non-scaled interval when processing radar clutter.using fractal Brownian motion (FBM) model, a concept of combinatorial FBM model is presented. Since the earth (or sea) surface varies diversely with space, a radar clutter.contains several fractal structures, which coexist on all scales. Taking the combination of two FBMs into account, via theoretical derivation we establish a combinatorial FBM model and present a method to estimate its fractal parameters. The correctness of the model and the method is proved by simulation experiments and computation of practial data. Furthermore, we obtain the relationship between fractal parameters when processing combinatorial model with a single FBM model. Meanwhile, by theoretical analysis it is concluded that when combinatorial model is observed on different scales, one of the fractal structures is more obvious.
