A two-stage algorithm is proposed to address the nonlinear measurement problem in passive tracking of group targets,aiming to estimate the state and shape of the group target *** the first stage,a pseudo-linear target tracking model is established based on single-observer *** estimate the state of the group target,an adaptive instrumental variable pseudo-linear Kalman filtering algorithm(AIVKF) is *** the second stage,the centroid state and the extended shape of the group targets are further estimated by incorporating random matrix ***,simulation comparisons with active tracking demonstrate that the proposed method achieves a satisfactory group target tracking effect.

This paper considers the problem of guiding a single robot to achieve a circular motion around a target with only bearing information. We propose control schemes dealing with two situations where the robot is with constant forward speed or with constant angular velocity. By using the proposed control schemes, the robot can circle the unknown-position target at a desired radius only with the bearing measurements. Finally, simulations are carried out to verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms.
