Invading track of chloride ions in cemented-based materials

Invading track of chloride ions and chloride ion distribution rule in cement-based materials were investigated by partially soaking in 3.5% （mass fraction） NaCl solution and fully immerging in 3.5% and 5.0% （mass fraction） NaC1 solution, respectively, and relevant invading mechanisms were discussed. Results indicate that under full immerging condition, the invading track of chloride ions in cement mortar is similar to beeline that is vertical to chloride ion invading direction, and chloride ion content decreases rapidly with the increase of chloride ion invading depth. Under partial soaking condition, the invading track of chloride ion in cement mortar is similar to the shape of concave parabola, and chloride ion content decreases slowly along the lengthway direction of cement mortar samples in the distance of 20-80 mm from the bottom. Lots of chloride ions accumulate in cement mortar surface layer under the effect of capillary rise and evaporation and then invade cement mortar by diffusion effect. Under partial soaking condition, cement mortar is distinguished by four areas, i.e., immerging area, wet area, crystallization area and dry area.

Microwave-hydrothermal treatment of persis- tent and bioaccumulative perfluorooctanoic acid （PFOA） in water with persulfate （S2O2-） has been found effective. However, applications of this process to effectively remediate PFOA pollution require a better understanding on free-radical scavenging reactions that also take place. The objectives of this study were to investigate the effects ofpH （pH= 2.5, 6.6, 8.8, and 10.5）, chloride concentra- tions （0.01-0.15 mol.L-1）, and temperature （60℃, 90℃, and 130℃） on persulfate oxidation of PFOA under microwave irradiation. Maximum PFOA degradation occurred at pH 2.5, while little or no degradation at pH 10.5. Lowering system pH resulted in an increase in PFOA degradation rate. Both high pH and chloride concentrations would result in more scavenging of sulfate free radicals and slow down PFOA degradation. When chloride concentrations were less than 0.04 mol.L^-1 at 90℃ and 0.06mol.L^-1 at 60℃, presence of chloride ions had insignificant impacts on PFOA degradation. However, beyond these concentration levels, PFOA degradation rates reduced significantly with an increase in chloride concentrations, especially under the higher temperature.

The influence of temperature, chloride ions and sulfide ions on the anticorrosion behavior of 316L stainless steel in simulated cooling water was studied by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and anodic polarization curves. The results show that the film resistance increases with the solution temperature but decreases after 8 days’ immersion, which indicates that the film formed at higher temperature has inferior anticorrosion behavior; chloride ions and sulfide ions have remarkable effects on the electrochemical property of 316L stainless steel in simulated cooling water and the pitting potential declines with the concentration of chloride ions; the passivation current has no obvious effect; the rise of the concentration of sulfide ions obviously increases the passivation current, but the pitting potential changes little, which indicates that the two types of ions may have different effects on destructing passive film of stainless steel. The critical concentration of chloride ions causing anodic potential curve’s change in simulated cooling water is 250 mg/L for 316 L stainless. The effect of sulfide ions on the corrosion resistance behavior of stainless steel is increasing the passivation current density Ip. The addition of 6 mg/L sulfide ions to the solution makes Ip of 316 L increase by 0.5 times.

In order to clarify the formation mechanism and conditions for akaganeite in long-term exposure, the influence of the former corrosion results on akaganeite formation was investigated by simulated experi- ments in laboratory. The combination of XRD, FTIR, SEM and EPMA enabled the identification of the rust layer formed on the surface. Accordingly, the nature of the rust layer and the amount of the corrosive species in the rust layer varied with the extension of the exposure. Among them, comparing with the corrosion condition in initial stage, the structure of rust layer after repeated wet-dry cycles was disad- vantage for akaganeite formation. Element CI aggregated at the interface between rust and substrate in the thick part can participate in the formation of akaganeite after the rust layer covered removed. The accumulation effect of salt deposited contributed to akaganeite formation under the condition that salt deposition rate was relatively low.

In recent years,Perovskite Light-Emitting Diodes(PeLEDs)have received considerable attention in ***,with the development of PeLEDs,commercial applications of full-color PeLED technology are largely limited by the progress of blue-emitting devices,due to the uncontrollably accurate composition,unstable properties,and low *** this article,we add Cesium chloride(CsCl)to the quasi-two-dimensional(quasi-2D)perovskite precursor solution and achieve the relatively blue shifts of PeLED emission peak by introducing chloride ions for photoluminescence(PL)and electroluminescence(EL).We also found that the introduction of chlorine ions can make quasi-2D perovskite films thinner with smoother surface of 0.408 *** is interesting that the EL peaks and intensities of PeLED are adjustable under different driving voltages in high concentration chlorine-added perovskite devices,and different processes of photo-excited,photo-quenched,and photo-excited occur sequentially with the increasing driving *** work provides a path for demonstrating full-color screens in the future.
