Polymeric nanoparticles of poly(methyl methacrylate)were obtained by emulsion polymerization techniques in a proce ss of two *** particles were functionalized with acrylic acid,curcumin,and fumaramide and three series of polymeric particles were *** incorporation of functional groups was confirmed by Fourier transform-infrared spectrosocopy(FT-IR)and ultraviolet-visible(UV-Vis)*** spherical morphology of particles with an average diameter of 100 nm was observed by scartning electron microscopy(SEM).The polymeric materials were used for recovery of[Eu]from synthetic *** nanoparticles show excellent chelation capacity to trap rare-earth ions,because they recover more than 85%of[Eu]at pH of *** images of SEM after extraction process show arrays between particles with larger average particle sizes to 1.5 *** addition,the particles have a good stripping capacity,exceeding 50%of it,maintaining their homogeneity in morphology and good stability in dispersion for the recovery and stripping processes.A pseudo-second model order is obtained for the extraction and stripping processes while the best results of stripping process are obtained at pH of 6.

This study reports on the effect of the addition of Glycine to Hank’s solution on the in-vitro corrosion behavior of AZ31 magnesium(Mg)alloy at 37℃and a pH of 7.4 studied by using potentiodynamic polarization(PDP),hydrogen collecting techniques and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS)in combination with surface characterization techniques such as optical microscopy(OM),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS),X-ray diffraction(XRD)and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis(XPS).The results reveal that adsorption of glycine initially subdues the dissolution of AZ31 Mg alloy while in long run it enhances the dissolution of the alloy due to the commencement of the chelation effect of glycine with Ca^(2+) released from *** chelation of glycine with Ca^(2+) induces the formation of cracks in the surface film which further promotes the dissolution of AZ31 Mg alloy thereby forming a porous corrosion products layer on the surface of the *** a result,both the continuous dissolution of AZ31 magnesium alloy and the hydrogen evolution rate(HER)are enhanced with increasing the immersion time in Hank’s solution.

Glucosamine sulfate was prepared from glucosamine hydrochloride that was produced by acidic hydrolysis of chitin by ion-exchange method. Optical rotation and elemental analysis characterized the degree of its purity. In addition, the antioxidant potency of cbitosan derivative-glucosamine sulfate was investigated in various established in vitro systems, such as superoxide （O2^-）/hydroxyl （·OH） radicals scavenging, reducing power, iron ion chelating. The following results are obtained： first, glucosamine sulfate had pronounced scavenging effect on superoxide radical. For example the O2 scavenging activity of glucosamine sulfate was 92.11% at 0.8 mg/mL. Second, the ·OH scavenging activity of glucosamine sulfate was also strong, and was about 50% at 3.2 mg/mL. Third, the reducing power of glucosamine sulfate was more pronounced. The reducing power of glucosamine sulfate was 0.643 at 0.75 mg/mL. However, its potency for ferrous ion chelating was weak. Furthermore, except for ferrous ion chelating potency, the scavenging rate of radical and reducing power of glucosamine sulfate were concentration-dependent and increased with their increasing concentrations, but its ferrous ion chelating potency decreased with the increasing concentration. The multiple antioxidant activities of glucosamine sulfate were evidents of reducing power and superoxide/hydroxyl radicals scavenging ability. These in vitro results suggest the possibility that glucosamine sulfate could be used effectively as an ingredient in health or functional food, to alleviate oxidative stress.
