Based on the transport mechanism of heat and mass transfer and by using the minimum gradient theory for unsaturated flow in capillary porous media, a mathematical model is developed for heat and mass transfer in unsaturated wet porous media considering the effect of capillary hysteresis. The heat and mass transport properties in the derived differential equations are analyzed in detail. which opens new way to further develop practical methods for determining heat and mass transport properties in wet porous media.

Fluid invasion through fractures is frequently observed in subsurface engineering. To elucidate the microkinetic behavior of fracture fluids, the microfracture structure of coal from the Surat Basin was reconstructed using a 3D morphometric system and stitching algorithm, then the transparent models characterizing the fracture structure were produced using microfluidics, and water invasion in the microfracture model was measured via visualization experiments under various conditions. High flow rate facilitated the invasion of the water phase into the closed channel, improving the efficiency of water invasion in the neutral wetting system. Wettability reversal changed the dominant channel for water invasion in the hydrophobic system. The invasion efficiency in closed and small aperture bypass channels was *** reduction of effective seepage channels led to the fastest breakthrough time. Implicit scheme for integrating constitutive model of unsaturated soils with coupling hydraulic and mechanical behavior

A constitutive model of unsaturated soils with coupling capillary hystere- sis and skeleton deformation is developed and implemented in a fully coupled transient hydro-mechanical finite-element model （computer code U-DYSAC2）. The obtained re- sults are compared with experimental results, showing that the proposed constitutive model can simulate the main mechanical and hydraulic behavior of unsaturated soils in a unified framework. The non-lineaxity of the soil-water characteristic relation is treated in a similar way of elastoplasticity. Two constitutive relations axe integrated by an implicit return-mapping scheme similar to that developed for saturated soils. A consistent tan- gential modulus is derived to preserve the asymptotic rate of the quadratic convergence of Newton＇s iteration. Combined with the integration of the constitutive model, a complete finite-element formulation of coupling hydro-mechanical problems for unsaturated soils is presented. A number of practical problems with different given initial and boundary conditions are analyzed to illustrate the performance and capabilities of the finite-element model.
