To ensure the efficiency and quality of complex business process design,a mode-based dynamic business process reengineering approach is proposed in this paper.Firstly,the composition of business process is divided into five levels.business process modes from three levels of mission,content and resource are defined,and the transition relationships between modes are given.Secondly,the architecture model of business process is defined based on the architecture analysis and design language(AADL).The dynamic reengineering framework and implementation procedure are designed.Finally,the AADL architecture models are analyzed and verified to evaluate the business process performance,and a blueprint for reengineering is formulated.Under the guidance of the blueprint,the detailed design and development of attributes such as business processes,activities,resources and cost are completed.Case studies are presented to validate that the mode analysis and dynamic reengineering approach based on the AADL architecture is able to improve the efficiency,reliability and reusability of business process design.

This study looks into the current,and potential uses of Blockchain technology in business,specifically in Accounting and in cybersecurity.We relate Blockchain uses to current concerns within cybersecurity and accounting.We review the literature that includes topics such as Big Data in Accounting,blockchain’s use in financial security and cybersecurity,and its use in financial accounting though the use of ledger technology and also as a system of tracking financial misconduct.We also review the Department of Homeland Security plan for cybersecurity over the next few years to understand what the US Government plans because of the importance of cybersecurity development.We show that Blockchain impacts auditing in different ways that will change the profession drastically.We also find that blockchain should be effectively implemented into different aspects of cybersecurity,and accounting,such as Auditing and general accounting procedures.

国内学者通常把"business group"(以下简称BG)译作"企业集团",但国内有关企业集团的研究文献所指的企业集团并不完全等同于BG。运用文献分析法对国内、外650篇相关研究文献进行的比较分析表明:两者在内涵与外延、研究范畴及其趋势以及不同研究主题所用的主导研究方法上均存在显著的差异。一般意义上的BG实则对应于由关联企业所构成的联合体。基于比较所揭示的各种差异,文章还为国内BG研究工作的深入开展指出了诸多研究方向和研究空间。

Do business groups affect corporate cash holdings?Evidence from a transition economy

We examine whether business groups' influence on cash holdings depends on ownership. Group affiliation can increase firms' agency costs or benefit firms by providing an internal capital market, especially in transition economies characterized by weak investor protection and difficult external capital acquisition. A hand-collected dataset of Chinese firms reveals that group affiliation decreases cash holdings, alleviating the free-cash-flow problem of agency costs.State ownership and control of listed firms moderate this benefit, which is more pronounced when the financial market is less liquid. Group affiliation facilitates related-party transactions, increases debt capacity and decreases investmentcash-flow sensitivity and overinvestment. In transitional economies, privately controlled firms are more likely to benefit from group affiliation than statecontrolled firms propped up by the government.

The international agenda on business and human rights has entered a new era when the united Nations Guiding Principles on business and Human Rights was endorsed in 2011 Meanwhile, as china is growing to become one of the biggest economies in the world, chinese businesses are exerting greater impacts on human rights in and outside china The 'Pillar II' policy shift of the chinese government regarding human rights refers to the translation of human rights from norms of public law to value principles for the private sector including businesses, and such a policy shift has been both a result of chinese businesses dealing with 'imported human rights challenges' in china, and one of the reasons for chinese businesses tackling 'exported human rights challenges' in overseas investment and trade Through a series of policy changes, the chinese government has transformed international human rights principles and norms into a value system and code of conduct meant for chinese businesses to respect and observe, which can greatly enhance the awareness and capacity of chinese businesses in fulfilling the irresponsibility to respect human rights in and outside china on the other hand, the challenges and opportunities from different dimensions are faced by the chinese government and businesses in business and human rights Therefore besides effectively fulfilling its duty to protect human rights, the chinese government needs to optimize and strengthen its 'Pillar II' policies, so as to push and support chinese businesses in knowing and showing their responsibility to respect human rights at both perception and practice levels.

Executive compensation in business groups: Evidence from China

This paper examines executive compensation in the subsidiaries of business groups in China. Analyzing a sample of China business groups(the so-called"Xi Zu Ji Tuan" in Chinese) from 2003 to 2012, we find convincing evidence of the use of Relative Performance Evaluation(RPE) in the executive compensation of the subsidiaries of business groups. Specifically, when the change in performance of one subsidiary is lower than that of the other subsidiaries,the change in its executive compensation is significantly lower. Further, when the business group is private and the level of marketization is high, the subsidiary's executive compensation is more likely to be influenced by the performance of the other subsidiaries. This research improves our understanding of the decision mechanisms of executive compensation in business groups and enriches the literature on executive compensation and business groups.
