Design of S-Band Circularly Polarized Double-Layer Microstrip antenna

This paper proposes a compact polarization microstrip antenna based on double-layer structure. The band- width of the whole antenna is widened by expanding the top and bottom layers respectively. After the design of antenna structure and adjustment of size, the proposed antenna can achieve both the left- and right-hand circular polariza- tions in 2.33 GHz--2.97 GHz. Measurement results indicate that the effective bandwidth is 640 MHz in S-band and the relative bandwidth can achieve 24% with S, less than- 15 dB.

FDTD Analysis and Application of Sleeve Monopole antenna

Based on the symmetry of the structure, a two-dimensional finite difference time domain （FDTD） method is used to analyze the sleeve monopole antenna on the infinite perfect conductor ground fed by a coaxial line. The fields in time domain are then turned into frequency domain through the discrete Fourier Transform to compute the surface current distribution and the input impedance of the sleeve monopole antenna. The gain or pattern of the monopole antenna is also computed, employing the combination of the image theory and the near-to-far transformation in frequency domain. All the computed results agree very well with the results of other methods and measured ones, verifying the application of the FDTD method to analyze the sleeve monopole antennas. The voltage standing wave ratio （VSWR） of the sleeve monopole antennas with different heights and radii of the sleeve are checked to study the influence of the sleeve, which indicates that the height and the radius of the sleeve are both important to the impedance bandwidth of the sleeve monopole antennas.

Study of multi-band property of rectangular microstrip patch antenna having different numbers of wide slots

The property of multi-band operation has been studied and investigated analytically through the design of a rectangular patch microstrip antenna having different numbers of wide slots arranged at both the radiating edges. The analyses were carried out using the method of moments simulation software. It is shown that a patch with three slots has a multi-band feature with four resonant frequencies at 1.6, 1.8, 2.65, and 4.83 GHz and adequate values of return loss and gain. It is also shown that a patch with two pairs of wide slots arranged at both the radiating edges has the dual band feature with resonant frequencies at 1.64 and 1.8 GHz and good values of return loss and gain.

＜正＞In this paper,a technique is presented for broadbanding the bow-tie slot antenna fed by a CPW（coplanar waveguide）.The bandwidth performance of existing bow-tie slot designs is greatly enhanced by optimizing the slot shape and properly adjusting the characteristic impedance of the coplanar waveguide feeding the *** connect the 50-ohm input coaxial line to the CPW feed line,a linear taper in the CPW is *** designed antenna shows a 3.6-10.0 GHz impedance bandwidth,a 3.6-6.0 GHz pattern bandwidth,and a 5.5-7.5 dBi gain over 3.6-6.0 GHz.
