Due to strong impacts of rockbursts in Ostrava-Karvina coalfield which affect especially roadways and cross-cuts of longwall panels it is necessary to strengthen standard steel roadways *** in rockburst prone areas the high proportion of rockbursts in break-throughs is *** to the statistics 19%of all rockbursts in Ostrava Karvina coal basin in the period 1993 2003 occurred in break-throughs in spite the fact that their total length is less than 10%of the total summary of developed roadways.((?)up(?)rek 2005).break-throughs as starting space of longwall faces play an important role in application of new mining *** of efficient longwall equipments needs large width of the cross cuts which reflects in demands on their support. The effective adaptations of steel support for underground roadways in areas with rockburst danger had to be based on the knowledge of behaviour of the support for the most frequent ways that the dynamic loads acted on *** analysis of rockburst manifestations in roadways showed that the prevailing impact on the support comes from the coal *** of all,they are more or less horizontal side impacts,mostly from the future coal panel *** from the floor also occurred in gates situated in thick seams under the roof. The aim of the computer modelling undertaken is the determination of the behaviour of a steel support during the development of the dynamic response provoked by a *** deals primarily with: (i) shape and nature of permanent strain or deformation of the steel support (ii) critical amount of energy by which a permanent strain is caused (iii) degree of total plastic strain (iv) effect of interaction of support with adjacent rock on the above mentioned characteristics (v) comparison of different strengthening measures The computer modelling used a finite element method(FEM) which is applied by ANSYS software..An optimum solution is the application of shell type e
