Most of existing methods exhibit poor performance in detecting forged images due to the small size of tampered areas and the limited pixel difference between untampered and tampered regions. To alleviate the above problem, a double-branch tampered image detection based on multi-scale features is proposed. Firstly, we introduce a fusion module based on attention mechanism in the first branch to enhance the network's sensitivity towards tampered regions. Secondly, we construct a second branch specifically designed for detection, aiming to identify subtle differences between tampered and untampered areas by utilizing rich edge information from shallow features as guidance. Compared to the existing methods on the public benchmark datasets CASIA1.0, Columbia and NIST16, the values of F-score reached 0.766, 0.900 and 0.930 on those datasets, respectively. The experimental results show that our method could significantly improve the accuracy on detecting the tampered area.

Hybrid circuit breakers(CBs)are the most promising technology to isolate DC faults in modular multilevel converter(MMC)‐based DC grids.However,they consist of expen-sive power electronic components that are sensitive to high overvoltage and overcurrent.This study proposes a hybrid high‐voltage DC circuit breaker with an energy absorption branch of a parallel arrester structure,and investigates the possibility of reducing the fault current and the switching overvoltage.First,the basic principle of an energy absorption branch with a parallel arrester structure is presented.Then,the simultaneous and sequential insertion strategies are illustrated.Second,each strategy and each structure are combined separately to analyse their respective characteristics in reducing the over-voltage,the fault current,the energy absorption and the fault clearance time.The sequential insertion strategy of the proposed energy absorption branch is proved to have the best performance.Finally,the trade‐offs between these four metrics are achieved through the non‐dominated sorting genetic algorithm II(NSGA‐II).A general method to determine the parameters of the proposed energy absorption branch from the Pareto front based on different preferences is provided.Simulations on PSCAD show that sequential insertion of the proposed energy absorption branch with the optimal pa-rameters is able to suppress the switching overvoltage and limit the fault current to a relatively low extent simultaneously.

Stable triggering of acquisition devices is critical to accurately measure electromagnetic transients,especially for very fast transient overvoltages(VFTOs).A highly stable and lowcos t self-trigger method for transient measurement is proposed.An integrated low-voltage arm module was developed to synchronously realise the triggering and VFTO measurement.The trigger branch was developed using a high-pass filter.This component obtained the high-frequency component of the VFTO to trigger the oscilloscope.The trigger branch was integrated with the measurement branch through an impedance converter.An attenuator was implemented before the impedance converter to avoid overvoltage damage to the chip.The circuit parameters of the attenuator were optimised to alleviate the disturbance of the measurement branch.The calibration results demonstrated that the±1 dB bandwidth of the measurement branch in this system ranged from 11.8 Hz to 105 MHz.The low cutoff frequency of the trigger branch was 710 Hz.The VFTO waveforms generated by the operation of a disconnector in a real 252 kV gas insulated switchgear were measured using the proposed system.The test results verified that the self-trigger measurement system can provide stable trigger signals and accurately measure the VFTO waveforms.

In recent years,vehicle re‐identification has attracted more and more attention.How to learn the discriminative information from multi‐view vehicle images becomes one of the challenging problems in vehicle re‐identification field.For example,when the viewpoint of the image changes,the features extracted from one image may be lost in another image.A two‐branch network with pyramid‐based local and spatial attention global feature learning(PSA)is proposed for vehicle re‐identification to solve this issue.Specifically,one branch learns local features at different scales by building pyramid from coarse to fine and the other branch learns attentive global features by using spatial attention module.Subsequently,pooling operation by using global maximum pooling(GMP)for local features and global average pooling(GAP)for global feature is performed.Finally,local feature vectors and global feature vector extracted from the last pooling layer,respectively,are employed for identity re‐identification.The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method achieves state‐of‐the‐art results on the VeRi‐776 dataset and VehicleID dataset.

Safe operation of the power grid requires a complete and robust control network to ensure full observability;However,redundancy measurements can create problems in expense,management,and control.The optimal phasor measurement unit(PMU)positioning problem(OPPP)is proposed to limit the number of PMUs deployed in the power grid and ensure the whole grid's observability in the meantime.A modified branch-and-bound algorithm(MBBA)to unravel the OPPP is presented.Original BBA,which uses a single search order to create a binary tree,gives only one solution to the OPPR although more than one optimal solution exists.The proposed MBBA method consists of two different stages:the vertexes in the search tree are investigated by depth-first search(DFS)in stage 1,and the search route continues as the breadth-first search.In stage 1,the LP relaxing problems are solved by dual simplex,and in stage 2,the basic viable solution from stage 1 is used to configure the primary simplex until the optimum solution is found.OPPP is formulated as a binary decision variable MBBA model,minimizing linear objective function subject to linear matrix observability constraints.The MBBA model is unravelled using a linear integer-based external approximation scheme.IEEE test systems are used to check the feasibility of the proposed approach.Matlab software performs simulation based on a number of graph theory-based methods such as DFS,graph-theoretical method,simulated annealing,and recursive N-algorithms.These algorithms are compared to the algorithmic perspective of the proposed MBBA method.IEEE test network results confirm the validity of the proposed methodology.
