In this paper,a canonical ensemble model for black hole quantum tunneling radiation is introduced.We find that the probability distribution function is the same as the emission rate of a spherical shell in the Parikh-Wilczek tunneling framework.With this model,the probability distribution function corresponding to the emission shell system is calculated.Therefore,the concrete quantum tunneling spectrum of the Schwarzschild black hole is obtained.

We investigate the thermodynamics and stability of the horizons in warped anti-de Sitter black holes of the new massive gravity under the scattering of a massive scalar field.Under scattering,conserved quantities can be transferred from the scalar field to the black hole,thereby changing the state of the black hole.We determine that the changes in the black hole are well coincident with the laws of thermodynamics.In particular,the Hawking temperat-ure of the black hole cannot be zero in the process as per the third law of thermodynamics.Furthermore,the black hole cannot be overspun bevond the extremal condition under the scattering of any mode of the scalar field.

It has recently been pointed out that, under certain conditions, the energy of particles accelerated by black holes in the center-of-mass frame can become arbitrarily high. In this paper, we study the collision of two particles in the case of four-dimensional charged nonrotating, extremal charged rotating and near-extremal charged rotating Kaluza-Klein black holes as well as the naked singularity case in Einstein-Maxwell-dilaton theory. We find that the center-of-mass energy for a pair of colliding particles is unlimited at the horizon of charged nonrotating Kaluza-Klein black holes, extremal charged rotating Kaluza-Klein black holes and in the naked singularity case.

In order to clearly understand the gravitational theory through the thermal properties of the black hole,it is important to further investigate the first-order phase transition of black holes.In this paper,we adopt different conjugate variables(P~V,T~S,C_(1)~c_(1),and C_(2)~c_(2)) and apply Maxwell's equal-area law to study the phase equilibrium of a topological black hole in massive gravity.The condition and latent heat of phase transition are displayed as well as the coexistent curve of P-T.The result shows that the phase transition of this system is the high/low electric potentials one,not only the large/small black holes one.We also analyze the effect of the model's parameters on phase transition.Furthermore we introduce a new order parameter to probe the microstructure of this system.This work will provide the theoretical basis to study the phase structure of topological black holes in massive gravity and to further explore the gravitational theory.

In this study,we investigate the phase transitions of the RN-AdS black hole at its Davies points according to the generalized Ehrenfest classification of phase transition established based on fractional derivatives.Notably,Davies points label the positions at which the heat capacity diverges.According to the usual Ehrenfest classification,second-order phase transitions occur at these points.For the RN-AdS black hole,the Davies points can be classified into two types.The first type corresponds to extreme values of the temperature,and the second type corresponds to the infection point(namely the critical point)of temperature.Employing the generalized Ehrenfest classification,we determine that the orders of phase transition at the two types of Davies points are different,that is,we note an order of 3/2 for the first type and 4/3 for the second type.Thus,this finer-grained classification can discriminate between phase transitions that are expected to lie in the same category,providing new insights leading toward a better understanding of black hole thermodynamics.

Considering that the negative pressure of the accelerated expansion of the universe results from the cosmological constant or the dark energy quintessence,we use the dark energy quintessence to construct the"quintessential"phase space.In contrast to the previous discussion in which the cosmological constant is considered as the black hole(BH)phase transition pressure,in this analysis,we believe that the pressure results from quintessence.The characteristics of critical behavior,Gibbs free energy,and temperature behavior in quintessential phase space are investigated.We observe that the phase transition belongs to van der Waals phase transition within-1<ωq<-2/3.Ifωqis within(–2/3,–1/3),the phase transition loses the large BH phase transition characteristics,which is caused by the later stage of the phase transition being completely dominated by quintessence dark energy with negative pressure.These results suggest that the quintessential phase space can be constructed with the pressure from the thermal quintessence,and it can be used as a new probe to explore the thermodynamics of BHs.

We study matter accretion onto Einstein-aether black holes by adopting the Hamiltonian approach.The general solution of accretion is discussed using the isothermal equation of state.Different types of fluids are considered,including ultra-relativistic,ultra-stiff,sub-relativistic,and radiation fluids,and the accretion process onto Einstein-aether black holes is analyzed.The behavior of the fluid flow and the existence of critical points is investigated for Einstein-aether black holes.We further discuss the general expression and behavior of polytropic fluid onto Einstein-aether black holes.The most important feature of this work is the investigation of the mass accretion rate of the above-mentioned fluids and the comparison of our findings with the Schwarzschild black hole,which generates particular signatures.Moreover,the maximum mass accretion rate occurs near the Killing and universal horizons,and the minimum accretion rate lies between them.

We consider Einstein-Weyl gravity with a minimally coupled scalar field in four dimensional spacetime.Using the minimal geometric deformation(MGD)approach,we split the highly nonlinear coupled field equations into two subsystems that describe the background geometry and scalar field source,respectively.By considering the Schwarzschild-AdS metric as background geometry,we derive analytical approximate solutions of the scalar field and deformation metric functions using the homotopy analysis method(HAM),providing their analytical approximations to fourth order.Moreover,we discuss the accuracy of the analytical approximations,showing they are sufficiently accurate throughout the exterior spacetime.

We study thermoelectric transport under shear strain in two spatial dimensional quantum matter using the holographic duality.General analytic formulae for the DC thermoelectric conductivities subjected to finite shear strain are obtained in terms of black hole horizon data.Off-diagonal terms in the conductivity matrix also appear at zero magnetic field,resembling an emergent electronic nematicity,which cannot nevertheless be identified with the presence of an anomalous Hall effect.For an explicit model study,we numerically construct a family of strained black holes and obtain the corresponding nonlinear stress-strain curves.We then compute all electric,thermoelectric,and thermal conductivities and discuss the effects of strain.While the shear elastic deformation does not affect the temperature dependence of thermoelectric and thermal conductivities quantitatively,it can strongly change the behavior of the electric conductivity.For both shear hardening and softening cases,we find a clear metal-insulator transition driven by the shear deformation.Moreover,the violation of the previously conjectured thermal conductivity bound is observed for large shear deformation.
