We investigate the nonergodic Brownian dynamics in a collinear particle-coupled harmonic chain model,in which the chain is free at one end and fixed at the other *** behavior. of the particle are mainly studied:the velocity thermalizes faster than the coordinate,and the asymptotic result depends on its initial coordinate preparation which is indeed a kind of the nonergodic behavior.

The boundary behavior.of the Bergman kernel function of a kind of Reinhardt domain is studied. Upper and lower bounds for the Bergman kernel function are found at the diagonal points ( Z, Z) Let Q be the Reinhardt domainwhere is the Standard Euclidean norm in and let K( Z, W) be the Bergman kernel function of Ω. Then there exist two positive constants m and M, and a function F such thatholds for every Z∈Ω . Hereand is the defining function of Ω The constants m and M depend only on Ω = This result extends some previous known results.

Preparation of a metallic diffuse-fringe film system and its electrical properties are *** anomalous R-I characteristics,third-harmonic coefficient and critical behavior.are observed in the film *** shows that this behavior.is caused by the location-dependent tunneling and hopping effects,which result from the continuous variation of the diffuse fringe structure of the film due to the increase of the current.

Based on the information theory and multifractals viewpoint, the information dimension D_1 of acoustic emission (AE) of rock for marble, gabbro and sandstone in a laboratory condition and seismic activities before and after some large earthquakes are studied. The results show that there is a dimension reduction process before the failure of rock and before the occurrence of large earthquakes. The curves of D_1 determined during the process have a wider non-scaling range. Moreover, the non-scaling range became narrow when rock was close to failure fracture and large earthquake was just to happen. This shows that the system has instable critical behavior.

It has been suggested that herbivore would react to volatiles produced by herbivore infested plant due to potential change, either positive or negative, in the acceptability of the host plant. This hypothesis was tested for the brown planthopper (BPH) in the laboratory. Sixteen components of the headspace volatiles from rice seedlings with different treatments were collected with SPME and Tenax-TA trap and analyzed with GC and GC-MS. Significant differences in volatile emissions were observed for rice plants with different treatments. Undamaged control plants, mechanically damaged plants and the plants infested by BPH for 1 or 2 d emitted much lower amounts of volatiles compared to the plants infested by BPH for 3 or 5 d. The plants infested by BPH for 3 or 5 d emitted several volatiles that were not detected in undamaged control plants, mechanically damaged plants or the plants infested by BPH for 1 or 2 d.
