The Fresnel-Weyl complementary transformation

Based on the newly developed coherent-entangled state representation,we propose the so-called Fresnel-Weyl complementary transformation operator.The new operator plays the roles of both Fresnel transformation（for（a 1 a 2）/√ 2） and the Weyl transformation（for（a 1 ＋ a 2）/√ 2）.Physically,（a 1 a 2）/√ 2 and（a 1 ＋ a 2）/√ 2 could be a symmetric beamsplitter＇s two output fields for the incoming fields a 1 and a 2.We show that the two transformations are concisely expressed in the coherent-entangled state representation as a projective operator in the integration form.

Multifocal multiphoton microscopy(MMM)has recently become an important tool in biomedicine for performing three-dimensional fastfluorescence imaging.Using various beamsplitting techniques,MMM splits the near-infrared laser beam into multiple beamlets and produces a multifocal array on the sample for parallel multiphoton excitation and then recordsfluorescence signal from all foci simultaneously with an area array detector,which significantly improves the imaging speed of multiphoton microscopy and allows for high efficiency in use of the excitation light.In this paper,we discuss the features of several MMM setups using different beamsplitting devices,including a Nipkow spinning disk,a microlens array,a set of beamsplitting mirrors,or a diffractive optical element(DOE).In particular,we present our recent work on the development of an MMM using a spatial light modulator(SLM).

Quantum teleportation of entangled squeezed vacuum states

An optical scheme for probabilistic teleporting entangled squeezed vacuum states (SVS) is proposed. In this scheme,the teleported state is a bipartite entangled SVS,and the quantum channel is a tripartite entangled SVS.The process of the teleportation is achieved by using a 50/50 symmetric beamsplitter and photon detectors with the help of classical information.

Superconductor Hybrids-Electronic Paths to Quantum Computing

We review several recent theoretical and experimental results in the study of superconductor hybrids. This includes the recent experimental advances in the study of superconducting beamsplitters as well as more advanced superconductor hybrid systems including ferromagnets or Majorana fermions. In the same manner, theoretical studies have revealed that such superconductor hybrid systems pave the way towards electronic generation and detection of entanglement as well as possible use cases in quantum computing. We will review the aspects in detail and illustrate the possible next steps to be taken.
