CORD BLOOD HEMATOPOIETIC CELL bank Human umbilical cord blood as a sufficient source of cells for hematopoietic cell transplantation, usually discarded,now has been used to restore the hematopoiesis of patients.Shandong Medical University Hospital first developed the HLA-mismatched multi—cord blood transplantation and build up the first cord blood hematopoietic cell bank in the world. Studies have shown that the frequency of hematopoietic progenitors in cord blood equals to or even exceeds that of bone marrow and greatly surpasses that of adult blood. More than 2 million human tissue transplants(bone,tendon,cartilage,skin,cornea,amniotic membrane,stem cells,heart valve,blood vessel,etc.),are performed worldwide every year.Cells and tissues are shared between countries which have different regulations and laboratory equipment and represent a risk of hepatitis B virus(HBV)transmission that has become a global safety concern.While the risk of transfusiontransmitted HBV infection from blood donations has been estimated,the rate of HBV transmission from donors to recipients of allografts is unknown and varies between different tissues.There are various important ways of reducing the transmission risk,but donor screening and donor testing are still the main factors for preventing HBV transmission.HBV detection is included in the routine screening tests for cell and tissue donors.The standard test for preventing transplant-transmitted hepatitis B is the hepatitis B surface antigen.The implementation of methods involving nucleic acid amplification and the new generation of reactives to detect viral antibodies or antigens with an immunoassay,has increased the sensitivity and the specificity of the screening tests.The objective of our research was to review the literature and critically analyse the different steps for avoiding HBV transmission in cell and tissue donors,focusing on the screening tests performed.

This paper contributes to the literatures about Chinese commercial banks technical efficiency. In order to eliminate the deviation of efficiency scores caused by an undesirable output that is represented by banks’ non-performing loans, the estimation is based on an enhanced parametric hyperbolic distance function which considers not only desirable outputs but also undesirable outputs. Furthermore, we extend the model to divide the factors that affecting technical efficiency into direct factors and indirect factors and exclude the influence of the latter when analyzing the determiners of banks technical efficiency. The validity of this model is examined by a panel of bank data from 2004-2010.

The present paper is a report on the feeding habits, seasonal variations of food contents and feeding intensity, and the relationships between the digestive organs and feeding habits of Red-fin pargo, Parargyrops edita (from 39 to 178 mm in body length), collected from South Fujian and Taiwan bank fishing ground. The result shows that Red-fin pargo is a demersal fish with wide range of food items of which are chiefly benthos and secondly nekton and plankton. Polychaeta, Ophiuroi-dea, Gammaridea, Pisces, Macrura, Ostracoda, Cephalopoda and Mysidacea are important food for both young and adult. The composition of food items varies with seasons. The feeding habits of the fish over 39 mm in body length do not vary with its age, but the adult take more Pisces and Cephalopoda than the young. The feeding intensity is the highest in spring and the lowest during winter. The feeding behavior is also closely related to its reproductive activity and the digestive organs are found to be adapted to its euryphagy.
