For carrier-based unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs),one of the important problems is the design of an automatic carrier landing system(ACLS)that would enable the UAVs to accomplish autolanding on the aircraft ***,due to the movements of the flight deck with six degree-of-freedom,the autolanding becomes *** solve this problem,an accurate and effective ACLS is developed,which is composed of an optimal preview control based flight control system and a Kalman filter based deck motion *** preview control fuses the future information of the reference glide slope to improve landing *** reference glide slope is normally a straight ***,the deck motion will change the position of the ideal landing point,and tracking the ideal straight glide slope may cause landing ***,the predictive deck motion information from the deck motion predictor is used to correct the reference glide slope,which decreases the dispersion around the desired landing ***,simulations are carried out to verify the performance of the designed ACLS based on a nonlinear UAV model.

This paper presents a nonlinear path-following control scheme with constant angle of attack for automatic carrier landing system in final approach. Based on the six degrees-of-freedom（6-DOF） aircraft model, back-stepping technique is adopted as the main control framework. To facilitate the controller design, some transformations are made to the model. Since low speed will cause unstability during landing, a novel control scheme, which maintains a constant angle of attack, is *** angle of attack is controlled by thrust independently. In order to ensure control performance in the presence of deck motion,deck motion compensation is proposed to generate ideal glide path in real time considering two aspects: the trajectory applicable to the fixed runway, and the current state of both aircraft and carrier. Finally, the synthetic environment used for numerical validation is modeled. Simulations based on a nonlinear 6-DOF model show effectiveness of the proposed control scheme even in the presence of carrier air wake and deck motion.

This paper studies the automatic carrier landing control problem of carrier-based aircraft, by applying a preview control method. A new automatic carrier landing system（ACLS） for carrier-based aircraft is developed using the advanced knowledge of glide path and longitudinal deck motion. The deck motion preview information is generated by the deck motion predictor which is designed based on the particle filter algorithm. Moreover, the air wake under medium sea condition is considered as the exogenous disturbance to verify the robustness of the proposed ACLS scheme. Simulation results demonstrate that the preview control ACLS can realize a better glide path tracking performance, more effective deck motion compensation, and stronger robustness under air wake disturbance, when comparing with the PID control scheme.

This paper studies the automatic carrier landing control problem of unmanned aerial vehicle（UAV）, by applying a model reference adaptive control（MRAC） scheme to deal with system uncertainties. Two key issues are solved for UAV carrier landing, including flight deck motion disturbance compensation and glide slope tracking control. An automatic carrier landing system（ACLS） for carrier-based UAV is developed, in which the flight control subsystem plays an important role. A state feedback for output tracking multivariable MRAC scheme is used to design the longitudinal flight controller and the lateral flight controller, which guarantees the arbitrary reference trajectory tracking. Simulation results demonstrate that the adaptive ACLS ensures the UAV asymptotically track the glide path even under the flight deck motion disturbance.
