By using the micro-channel plate position sensitive detector with the delay-line anode we measure the single electron detachment cross sections for some transition elements in collision with Ar in the energy region 10-30 keV. These single electron detachment cross sections perform as velocity and electron affinity dependences. The experiments are carried out using the growth rate method.

The saddle-point variational method and restricted variational method are used to calculate energies of doublyexcited singlet states 1s^23lnl′ （n =3-.） ^1 De in Be-like O^4＋ ions, including the mass polarization and relativistic corrections. The saddle-point complex-rotation method is used to compute the Auger widths and Auger transition rates. These results are compared with other theoretical and experimental data in the literature.

The equation of motion of two-level chromium atoms in Gauss standing laser wave is discussed and the distribution of chromium atoms is given under different transverse velocity conditions. The results show that the focusing position of atoms will be affected by the transverse velocity of atoms. Based on the four-order Runge- Kutta method, the locus of chromium atoms in Gauss standing laser wave is simulated. The three-dimensional characteristics of nanometer structures are stimulated under perfect and emanative conditions.

We investigate the momentum and energy correlations between the two electrons from nonsequential double ionization （NSDI） of helium by strong two-color pulses with the classical three-dimensional ensemble model. The correlated momentum distribution in the direction parallel to the laser field exhibits an arc-like structure and the sum-energy spectrum shows a sharp peak for the NSDI of helium in the two-color fields. Back analysis reveals that the narrow time interval during which recollisions occur, the low returning energy and the short time delay between recollision and double ionization lead to the novel momentum and energy correlations.

Axial variation of average size of methane clusters in a gas jet produced by supersonic expansion of methane through a cylindrical nozzle of 0.8 mm in diameter is observed using a Rayleigh scattering method. The scattered light intensity exhibits a power scaling on the backing pressure ranging from 16 to 50bar, and the power is strongly Z dependent varying from 8.4 （Z = 3mm） to 5.4 （Z = 11mm）, which is much larger than that of the argon cluster. The scattered light intensity versus axial position shows that the position of 5mm has the maximum signal intensity. The estimation of the average cluster size on axial position Z indicates that the cluster growth process goes forward until the maximum average cluster size is reached at Z - 9 mm, and the average cluster size will decrease gradually for Z 〉 9 mm.

The elastic scattering properties for collisions between ultracold 23Na and 39K atoms in the singlet state are investigated. Based on the recent theoretical and experimental results, the improved hybrid potential is presented for the singlet X1Σg＋ ground state of NaK. By means of the Numerov and semiclassical methods, the values of the s-wave scattering length a for the singlet state are calculated to be 33.3757a0 and 37.9399a0, respectively. Pronounced shape resonances appear for the l = 1 partial wave for the X1Σg＋ state. In addition, the s-wave scattering cross section, total cross section and energy positions of shape resonances for the X1Σg＋ state are discussed.

We report a time-dependent quantum wavepacket theory employed to interpret the photoabsorption spectrum of the N20 molecule in terms of the nuclear motion on the upper 21A＇ and 11A＂ potential energy surfaces. The N2-O bond breaks upon excitation leading to dissociation. The total angular momentum is treated correctly taking into account the vector property of the electric field of the exciting radiation.

Photodissociation efficiency spectrum of anionic oxygen atom produced via ion-pair dissociations of carbon dioxide is recorded by means of the synchrotron radiation excitation （XUV photon energy 17.40-20.00eV）. The present spectrum is assigned as the Rydberg-like excited ion-pair states, i.e., Tanaka-Ogawa and Henning series, -↑C^2∑g^＋（CO2^＋） vibrational ground-state and excitation series. Three Rydberg series, npσu, npπu, and nfu, converging to -↑C^2∑g^＋（0, 0, 0）, show the higher cross sections.

A versatile electrostatic trap with open optical access for cold polar molecules in weak-field-seeking state is proposed in this paper. The trap is composed of a pair of disk electrodes and a hexapole. With the help of a finite element software, the spatial distribution of the electrostatic field is calculated. The results indicate that a three-dimensional closed electrostatic trap is formed. Taking NDa molecules as an example, the dynamic process of loading and trapping is simulated. The results show that when the velocity of the molecular beam is 10 m/s and the loading time is 0.9964 ms, the maximum loading efficiency reaches 94.25% and the temperature of the trapped molecules reaches about 30.3 inK. A single well can be split into two wells, which is of significant importance to the precision measurement and interference of matter waves. This scheme, in addition, can be further miniaturized to construct one-dimensional, two-dimensional, and three-dimensional spatial electrostatic lattices.
