The hexaploid species Echinochloa crus-galli is one of the most detrimental weeds in crop fields,especially in rice *** evolutionary history is similar to that of bread wheat,arising through polyploidization after hybridization between a tetraploid and a diploid *** this study,we generated and analyzed high-quality genome sequences of diploid(***),tetraploid(***),and hexaploid(***-galli)Echinochloa *** family analysis showed a significant loss of disease-resistance genes such as those encoding NB-ARC domain-containing proteins during Echinochloa polyploidization,contrary to their significant expansionduring wheat polyploidization,suggesting that natural selection might favor reduced investment in resistance in this weed to maximize its growth and *** contrast to the asymmetric patterns of genome evolution observed in wheat and other crops,no significant differences in selection pressure were detected between the subgenomes in *** and *** addition,distinctive differences in subgenome transcriptome dynamics during hexaploidization were observed between ***-galli and bread ***,our study documents genomic mechanisms underlying the adaptation of a major agricultural weed during *** genomic and transcriptomic resources of three Echinochloa species and new insights into the polyploidization-driven adaptive evolution would be useful for future breeding cereal crops.

Posttranslational modifications increase the complexity and functional diversity of proteins in response to complex external stimuli and internal *** these,protein lipidations which refer to lipid attachment to proteins are prominent,which primarily encompassing five types including S-palmitoylation,N-myristoylation,S-prenylation,glycosylphosphatidylinositol(GPl)anchor and *** attachment to proteins plays an essential role in the regulation of protein trafficking,localisation,stability,conformation,interactions and signal transduction by enhancing *** evidence from genetic,structural,and biomedical studies has consistently shown that protein lipidation is pivotal in the regulation of broad physiological functions and is inextricably linked to a variety of *** of dedicated research have driven the development of a wide range of drugs targeting protein lipidation,and several agents have been developed and tested in preclinical and clinical studies,some of which,such as asciminib and lonafarnib are FDA-approved for therapeutic use,indicating that targeting protein lipidations represents a promising therapeutic ***,we comprehensively review the known regulatory enzymes and catalytic mechanisms of various protein lipidation types,outline the impact of protein lipidations on physiology and disease,and highlight potential therapeutic targets and clinical research progress,aiming to provide a comprehensive reference for future protein lipidation research.

Recent studies showed that inflammation is a critical cause for initiation and/or development of many cancers. In prostate cancer(PC), the inflammatory cells usually populate an immune-competent organ. This inflammatory organ can be involved in the initiation and progression of PC. Here, we mainly focus on the role of inflammation in the PC and progression of castration-resistant PC(CRPC). Moreover, we summarize the roles of inflammation factors(such as chemokines and cytokines) in PC and CRPC. Taken together, this review gives an insight into therapy for PC and CRPC through anti-inflammation.
