In recent years strawberry crown rot caused by Neopestalotiopsis *** occurred in many places in China,leading to an increasing economic *** order to understand the resistance level of strawberry germplasm resources,321 cultivated varieties selected from the demonstration bases and National Germplasm Repository for Strawberry in Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences were determined for resistance to Neopestalotiopsis crown rot by a detached leaf assay through pathogen plugs and conidia suspension *** lesion growth rate was calculated by the AUDPC(area under the disease progress curve) and the number of conidia production was collected by the hemocytometer under optical electron microscopy for five *** results showed that strawberry germplasm resources from different geographical sources was different,strawberry cultivars from Japanese such as ' Benihoppe''Kaorino' generally exhibit higher resistance,whereas cultivars from European and American such as' Sweet Charlie' 'Mara des Bois' tend to display lower *** total AUDPC was ranging from0.00 to 5.73 and 0.00 to 5.78,with the average of 1.10 and 1.19 for the pathogen plugs and conidia suspension inoculation,*** average conidia production was 20.87,with the highest number of 172.25 for 'Mara des Bois',and lowest number of 0.08 for 'jiuxiang'.The immunity(I),high resistance(HR),resistance(R),moderate resistance(MR),susceptibility(S),and high susceptibility(HS) was account for 0.01%,27.10%,11.46%,26.79%,6.23% and26.79%,*** results provide a scientific basis for selection of resistance varieties in practical production and breeding disease-resistant strawberry cultivars in the future.
