Safety analysis of engineered nanomaterials(ENMs) presents a formidable challenge regarding environmental health and safety, due to their complicated and diverse physicochemical *** large amounts of data have been published regarding the potential hazards of these materials, we still lack a comprehensive strategy for their safety assessment, which generates a huge workload in decision-making. Thus, an integrated approach is urgently required by government, industry, academia and all others who deal with the safe implementation of nanomaterials on their way to the marketplace. The rapid emergence and sheer number of new nanomaterials with novel properties demands rapid and high-content screening(HCS), which could be performed on multiple materials to assess their safety and generate large data sets for integrated decision-making. With this approach, we have to consider reducing and replacing the commonly used rodent models, which are expensive, time-consuming, and not amenable to high-throughput screening and analysis. In this review, we present a ‘Library Integration Approach’ for high-content safety analysis relevant to the ENMs. We propose the integration of compositional and property-based ENM libraries for HCS of cells and biologically relevant organisms to be screened for mechanistic biomarkers that can be used to generate data for HCS and decision analysis. This systematic approach integrates the use of material and biological libraries, automated HCS and high-content data analysis to provide predictions about the environmental impact of large numbers of ENMs in various categories. This integrated approach also allows the safer design of ENMs, which is relevant to the implementation of nanotechnology solutions in the pharmaceutical industry.

A sensitive, specific and rapid LC-MS method was developed and validated for the determination of salvianolic acid D (SAlD) in rat plasma. This method used a single quadrupole mass spectrometer with an electrospray ionization (ESI) source. A single ion monitoring scanning (SIM) mode was employed. it showed good linearity over the concentration range from 3.3 to 666.7 ngfint. for the determination of Sala The R.S.D.% of intra-day and inter-day precision values were no more than 7.69%, and the accuracy was within 91%-104% at all quality control Levels. This LC MS method was applied to the pharmacokinetic study of SaID in rats. A two-compartmental model analysis was employed. The plasma concentrations at 2 mm (C-2min) were 5756.06 +/- 719.61, 11,073.01 +/- 1783.46 and 21,077.58 +/- 5581.97 nit, for 0.25, 0.5 and I mg/kg intravenous injection, respectively. The peak plastna concentration (C-max) was 333.08 +/- 61.21 pg/L for 4 mg/kg oral administration. The area under curve (AUC(0-t)) was 14,384.379 +/- 8443.t84. 22,813.369 +/- 11,860.823, 46,406.122 +/- 27,592.645 and 8201.740+4711.961 mu g/L.h for intravenous injection (0.25, 0.5 and 1 mg/kg) and oral administration (4 mg/kg), respectively. This paper presents an analytical geometry method for kinematics and efficiency of planetary gear trains (PGTs). The novel method which is capable of evolution and contrast analysis of mechanism kinematics, can be applied to any typical one-and two-degree-of-freedom plane PGTs containing any number of simple, compound or complex-compound planetary gear sets. The efficiency analysis of this method features a systematized and programmed process and its independence of the speed ratio. The primary contribution of this work lies in the integration of quantitative calculation, qualitative evolution and comparative analysis of kinematics of PGTs into one diagram, and in the integration of kinematics and efficiency analysis into a single method system. First, the analytical geometry method is defined, its basic properties are given, and the systematization procedure to perform kinematic analysis is demonstrated. As an application, analytical geometry diagrams of common PGTs are exhibited in the form of a list, whose kinematic characteristics and general evolution tendency are discussed. Then, with the mapping of PGTs onto the angular speed plane, the efficiency formula of analytical geometry, which has an extremely concise form, and a simple method for power flow estimation are put forward. Moreover, a general procedure is provided to analyze the efficiency and power flow. Finally, four numerical examples including a complicated eleven-link differential PGTs are given to illustrate the simpleness and intuitiveness of the analytical geometry method.

In recent years,as giant satellite constellations grow rapidly worldwide,the co-existence between constellations has been widely *** this paper,we overview the co-frequency interference(CFI)among the giant non-geostationary orbit(NGSO)***,we first summarize the CFI scenario and evaluation index among different NGSO *** on statistics about NGSO constellation plans,we analyse the challenges in mitigation and analysis of ***,the CFI calculation methods and research progress are systematically sorted out from the aspects of interference risk analysis framework,numerical calculation and link ***,the feasibility of interference mitigation technologies based on space,frequency domain isolation,power control,and interference alignment mitigation in the NGSO mega-constellation CFI scenario are further sorted ***,we present promising directions for future research in CFI analysis and CFI avoidance.

In order to solve the performance limitations of traditional ship-type and cylindrical FDPSO(floating drilling production, storage and offloading unit), we present a new FDPSO with a sandglass-type floating *** on the hydrodynamic performance of the newly developed floating model, a suitable analysis method for its deepwater mooring system has been proposed. Furthermore, by studying the effects of different mooring parameters on the motion performance of FDPSO, we achieve some useful conclusions and principles to design the mooring scheme in deep sea which has been validated to satisfy the Det Norshke Veritas(DNV) *** study of this paper is expected to provide a reasonable and feasible reference and design solution for the deep sea positions of the new sandglass-type FDPSO.

A group of small RNA molecules, distinct from but related to siRNAs （small interference RNAs） have been identified in a variety of organisms. These small RNAs, called microRNAs （miRNAs）, are endogenously encoded approximately 20-24 nt long single-stranded RNAs. They are generally expressed in a highly tissue- or developmental-stage-specific fashion and are post-transcriptional regulator of gene expression in animals and plants. This article summarizes the character, mechanism and analysis method about miRNAs. The current view that miRNAs represent a newly discovered, hidden layer of gene regulation has resulted in high interest among researchers in the discovery of miRNAs, their targets, expression mechanism of action and analysis methods.

Magnetorheological (MR) fluids consist of stable suspensions of magnetic particles in a carrying fluid such as water or silicone oils. The magnetorheological response of MR fluids results from the polarization induced in suspended particles by application of an external magnetic field. The interaction between the induced dipoles causes the particles to form columnar structure, parallel to the applied field. These chain-like structures restrict the motion of fluids, thereby increasing the viscosity and yield stress of the MR fluids. These mechanical characteristics allow for the construction of magnetically controlled device such as the MR fluids rotary brakes. However, there has been little information published about the design of MR fluid brakes. In this paper the design of the cylindrical MR fluid brake is investigated theoretically. Bingham model is used to characterize the constitutive behaviors of the MR fluids subject to an external magnetic field. The operational principle of the cylindrical MR fluid brake is presented. The theoretical method is developed to analyze the transmission properties of the torque of the cylindrical MR fluid brake. An engineering expression for the torque is derived to provide the theoretical foundations in the design of the cylindrical MR fluid brake. Based on this equation the volume and thickness of the annular MR fluids within the brake is expressed as functions of the desired ratio of torques with saturated magnetic field and without external field, the controlled mechanical power and the MR fluid material properties. The parameters of the thickness and width of the fluid in the brake can be calculated from the obtained equations when the required mechanical power level, the desired torque ratio are specified.

Farinograph, extensograph and mixograph are the special instruments used to determinedough rheological characteristics. In this study, twenty-seven wheat cultivars ofdifferent gluten strength were used to study the correlations among each rheologicalparameter determined by above instruments. Multiple linear regression analysis and pathcoefficient analysis were used to study the direct and indirect effects of 11 doughrheological characteristics on bread quality. The results showed significant correlationsamong the principal parameters. There were significantly or extremely significantlypositive correlations among development time (DT), stability time (ST), farinographquality number (FQN) of farinograph, area, maximum resistance (Rmax), viscoelastic ratio(Rmax/E)of extensograph and mixing time (MT), 8-minute-curve-tail (8MCT) of *** indexes affected bread-making quality either directly or indirectly. Of all theindexes, ST, maximum Rmax, MT and FQN were the most important ones.
