The bandwidth resources allocation strategies of the existing Internet of Vehicles(IoV) are mainly base on the communication architecture of the traditional 802.11 x in the wireless local area network(WLAN). The traditional communication architecture of IoV will easily cause significant delay and low Packet Delivery Ratio(PDR) for disseminating critical security beacons under the condition of high-speed movement, distance-varying communication, and mixed traffic. This paper proposes a novel bandwidth-link resources cooperative allocation strategy to achieve better communication performance under the road conditions of intelligent transportation systems(ITS). Firstly, in traffic scenarios, based on the characteristic to predict the relative position of the mobile transceivers, a strategy is developed to cooperate on the mobile cellular network and the Dedicated Short-Range Communications(DSRC). Secondly, by adopting the general network simulator NS3, the dedicated mobile channel models that are suitable for the data interaction of ITS, is applied to confirm the feasibility and reliability of the strategy. Finally, by the simulation, comparison, and analysis of some critical performance parame-ters, we conclude that the novel strategy does not only reduce the system delay but also improve the other communication performance indicators, such as the PDR and communication capacity.

There are many heterogeneous sensing nodes in the sensing layer of the Internet of Things, and the amount of data transmission is huge, which puts high requirements on the allocation of network bandwidth. At the same time, untrusted sensing nodes maliciously invade network resources. Therefore, how to confirm whether a sensing node is trusted and reasonably allocate network resources is an urgent problem to be solved. To resolve this issue, this paper proposes a sensing network resource allocation model based on trusted groups. Through the sensing node computing environment and behavior measurement, we can identify and exclude untrusted nodes, so the trusted group can be built. Then the network resources are distributed from a global perspective. Based on the available bandwidth of the link, a network resource fusion model of IPv4 and IPv6 is proposed. On this basis, a global network resource allocation model is further proposed. Afterwards, real-time monitoring of data transmission behavior ensures data security during transmission. Simulation experiments show that this mechanism can effectively optimize the bandwidth allocation in the data transmission process and has little effect on the running efficiency of existing network applications. At the same time, it can effectively guarantee the trust of nodes and achieve trusted data transmission.

Distributed Resource allocation in Ultra-Dense Networks via Belief Propagation

Ultra-dense networking is widely accepted as a promising enabling technology to realize high power and spectrum efficient communications in future 5G communication systems. Although joint resource allocation schemes promise huge performance improvement at the cost of cooperation among base stations,the large numbers of user equipment and base station make jointly optimizing the available resource very challenging and even prohibitive. How to decompose the resource allocation problem is a critical issue. In this paper,we exploit factor graphs to design a distributed resource allocation algorithm for ultra dense networks,which consists of power allocation,subcarrier allocation and cell association. The proposed factor graph based distributed algorithm can decompose the joint optimization problem of resource allocation into a series of low complexity subproblems with much lower dimensionality,and the original optimization problem can be efficiently solved via solving these subproblems iteratively. In addition,based on the proposed algorithm the amounts of exchanging information overhead between the resulting subprob-lems are also reduced. The proposed distributed algorithm can be understood as solving largely dimensional optimization problem in a soft manner,which is much preferred in practical scenarios. Finally,the performance of the proposed low complexity distributed algorithm is evaluated by several numerical results.

Data envelopment analysis has been successfully used in resource allocation problems.However,to the best of our knowledge,there are no allocation models proposed in the literature that simultaneously take both the global efficiency and growing potential into account.Hence,this research aims at developing an allocation model for extra input resources,which maximizes the global technical efficiency and scale efficiency of a decision-making unit(DMU)set while maintaining the pure technical efficiency(i.e.,growing potential)of each DMU.To this purpose,we first discuss the optimal resources required by each DMU.We prove that the optimal inputs for the DMU are actually the inputs of some most productive scale size(MPSS).We then propose the allocation model based on the discussion on the case of one DMU.The allocation model is illustrated using two numerical examples.

A new approach of tolerance allocation is presented.Firstly, manufacturing difficulties ζs of components of an assembly are evaluated using the Fuzzy Comprehensive evaluation, then a new mathematical model is established by combining their function sensitivity factor ωs, and finally, annealing evolution is used to solve the problem. The example shows that the approach can give tolerances more economically.

Long Term Evolution( LTE) has been proposed as an advanced wireless radio access technology to provide higher peak data rates and better spectral utilization efficiency,but the classical scheduling and resource allocation algorithms cannot optimally enhance the system performance due to high computational complexity. In this paper,a re-configurable dual mode delay-aware( CDD) scheduling and resource allocation algorithm is proposed to achieve the joint consideration of scheduling pattern,scheduling priority and quantity of scheduled data. In this study,dual-mode scheduling mechanism is associated with three configurable parameters and the CDD algorithm is involved to guarantee queuing delay with low loss of resource utilization and fairness.The computational cost of the scheduling and resource allocation algorithm is significantly reduced by efficiently utilizing Qo S Class Identifier( QCI) and Channel Quality Indicator( CQI) defined by LTE standards. The simulation results based on different application scenarios also represent the computation cost and complexity of scheduling algorithm along with the improved system throughput.

The orthogonal frequency division multiple access( OFDMA) based communication system has been considered as the main trend of next-Generation communication system. But the existing resource allocation algorithm designed for such system is always with high complexity thus hard to be realized. To solve such problem with the constraints of spectrum efficiency and buffer state,a novel cross-layer resource allocation algorithm( RAA) is proposed in this paper. The goal of our RAA is to maximize the system throughput while satisfying several practical constraints,such as fairness among services,head of line( Ho L) delay and diverse quality of service( Qo S) requirements. Due to these constraints,finding the optimal solution becomes a NPhard problem. Therefore in this paper a novel method to solve such problem with acceptable complexity is proposed within following steps: firstly,based on the link state we formulate the ideal subchannel allocation strategy as a convex optimization problem,which can be efficiently solved by our proposed lagrange multiplier technique subchannel allocation( LMTSA) algorithm; secondly,according to the obtained channel allocation matrix,a power allocation algorithm based on the water-filling power allocation( WPA) idea is deployed to get the optimal power allocation matrix combining with adaptive modulation and coding( AMC); finally,through a greedy algorithm,the ultimate subchannel and power allocation matrix can be obtained based on iterative method. The simulation results illustrate that we can achieve the higher throughput and better Qo S performance than the widely-used maximum throughput( MT) algorithm and round robin( RR) algorithm.

Integration of Berth allocation and Quay Crane Assignment in Tidal Container Ports

Tide is a significant factor which interferes with the berthing and departing operations of vessels in tidal ports. It is a preferable way to incorporate this factor into the simultaneous berth allocation and quay crane( QC) assignment problem( BACAP) in order to facilitate the realistic decision-making process at container terminal. For this purpose,an integrated optimization model is built with tidal time windows as forbidden intervals for berthing or departing. A hind-and-fore adjustment heuristic is proposed and applied under an iterative optimization framework. Numerical experiment shows the satisfying performance of the proposed algorithm.

PID-Based Bit allocation Strategy for Asymmetric Stereoscopic Video Coding with Fuzzy Quality Controller

Asymmetric stereoscopic video coding can take advantage of binocular suppression in human vision by representing one of the two views in lower quality.This paper proposes a bit allocation strategy for asymmetric stereoscopic video coding.In order to improve the accuracy of bit allocation and rate control in the left view,a proportionalintegral-derivative controller is adopted.Meanwhile,to control the quality fluctuation between consecutive frames of the left view,a quality controller is adopted.Besides,a fuzzy controller is proposed to control the variation in quality between the left and right views by comparing the PSNR disparity of two views with a fixed threshold,which is used to quantize the binocular psycho-visual redundancy and adjust the quantization parameter (QP) of the right view correspondingly.The proposed algorithm has been implemented in H.264/AVC video codec,and the experimental results show its effectiveness in rate control while keeping a good quality for the left view,and fewer bits are allocated for the right view so that the overall bit rate is saved by 7.2% at most without the loss of subjective visual quality for stereoscopic video.

The rapid growth of mobile internet services has yielded a variety of computation-intensive applications such as virtual/augmented reality. Mobile Edge Computing (MEC), which enables mobile terminals to offload computation tasks to servers located at the edge of the cellular networks, has been considered as an efficient approach to relieve the heavy computational burdens and realize an efficient computation offloading. Driven by the consequent requirement for proper resource allocations for computation offloading via MEC, in this paper, we propose a Deep-Q Network (DQN) based task offloading and resource allocation algorithm for the MEC. Specifically, we consider a MEC system in which every mobile terminal has multiple tasks offloaded to the edge server and design a joint task offloading decision and bandwidth allocation optimization to minimize the overall offloading cost in terms of energy cost, computation cost, and delay cost. Although the proposed optimization problem is a mixed integer nonlinear programming in nature, we exploit an emerging DQN technique to solve it. Extensive numerical results show that our proposed DQN-based approach can achieve the near-optimal performance。
