In this paper,the resource allocation optimization for the simultaneous wireless information and power transfer(SWIPT)full-duplex(FD)relaying networks is investigated,in which the power-constrained relay scavenges energy from the source signal and assists information transmission by FD operation.Taking into account non-linear energy harvesting(EH)hardware circuit characteristics of the relay,the information rate maximization problem is developed by jointly optimizing the time-switching(TS)factor and transmission powers of the source in two different phases.However,the formulated optimization is highly non-convex and difficult to solve.To cope with this problem,the primary problem is decomposed into two sub-problems with respect to the TS factor and transmission powers.After solving these two sub-problems,the final sub-optimal solutions can be obtained by alternating search.Simulation results prove that the optimization of both TS factor and transmission powers can effectively enhance the information rate for the considered networks.

AIM: To propose an allocation system of patients with liver cirrhosis to intensive care unit(ICU), and developed a decision tool for clinical practice. METHODS: A systematic review of the literature was performed in Pub Med, MEDLINE and EMBASE databases. The search includes studies on hospitalized patients with cirrhosis and organ failure, or acute on chronic liver failure and/or intensive care therapy. RESULTS: The initial search identified 660 potentially relevant articles. Ultimately, five articles were selected; two cohort studies and three reviews were found eligible. The literature on this topic is scarce and no studies specifically address allocation of patients with liver cirrhosis to ICU. Throughout the literature, there is consensus that selection criteria for ICU admission should be developed and validated for this group of patients and multidisciplinary approach is mandatory. Based on current available data we developed an algorithm, to determine if a patient is candidate to intensive care if needed, based on three scoring systems: premorbid Child-Pugh Score, Model of End stage Liver Disease score and the liver specific Sequential Organ Failure Assessment score.CONCLUSION: There are no established systems for allocation of patients with liver cirrhosis to the ICU and no evidence-based recommendations can be made.

Allowance and allocation of industrial volatile organic compounds emission in China for year 2020 and 2030

As an effective pollution control method, emission allowance and allocation just implemented in volatile organic compounds（VOCs） control strategy of China in 2016. This article presents a possible way to set the emission allowance targets and establishes an allowance allocation model for the object year, 2020 and 2030, using 2010 as the reference year. On the basis of regression and scenario analysis method, the emission allowance targets were designed,which were 17.902 Tg and 18.224 Tg for 2020 and 2030, with an increasing rate of 28.75% and31.06% compared to 2010. From the perspective of industries, processes using VOCscontaining products, like machinery and equipment manufacturing, would continue to be the most significant industrial VOCs emission sources in the future of China. Four allocation indicators were selected, which are per capita GDP of each province, per capita industrial VOCs emission of each province, the economic contribution of industrial sector to regional economy of each province, and the emission intensity per land area of each province, respectively.Based on information entropy, the weights of the indicators were calculated and an emission allocation model was established, and the results showed that provinces like Shandong,Jiangsu, Guangdong, Zhejiang and Fujian were calculated to obtain more emission allowance while burden more reduction responsibility. Meanwhile, provinces like Guizhou, Ningxia,Hainan, Qinghai and Xizang were on the contrary. This paper suggests governments to enhance or ease to industrial VOCs reduction burden of each province in order to stimulate its economy or change its way of economy development.

Land allocation has been an important issue in land use planning research studies.Land allocation involves different multifunctional activities of maximizing environmental,economic and social benefits.Multi-criteria decision making(MCDM)method is the most popular tool to optimize land allocation problems by considering decision variables,conflicting objectives,and criteria.Hence,decision-makers face problems on how to optimize the land allocation while minimizing the conflicting trade-offs existing in the decision analysis.With this review study,we aim at identifying and extracting information on MCDM methods to solve land allocation problems from English language articles published between 2000 and 2019 and indexed by four scientific literature databases(Web of Science,Science Direct,Scopus,Google scholar).To this end,we applied a systematic literature review approach,i.***.the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis procedure(Moher et al.,2009),with a structured database search expression.120 articles were selected of which,after careful screening of title,keywords and abstract,69 were retained for detailed review.This review study report compiles comprehensive information by classifying the papers into application area,optimization objectives,criteria used,decision techniques,publication year and study region.In summary,we found that in the last two decades,the use of the MCDM method has increased,particularly in Europe and China.AHP(analytical hierarchal process)is frequently used for multi-attribute land allocation problems with reference to ecotourism and ecosystem management.LP(linear programming)and SA(simulating annealing)methods are predominantly used to optimize multi-objectives complex agricultural and forest land allocation problems respectively.

Uncovering the genetic basis of seed develop-ment will provide useful tools for improving both crop yield and nutritional value, However, the genetic regulatory networks of maize (Zea mays) seed development remain largely unknown. The maize opaque endosperm and small germ 1 (osl) mutant has opaque endosperm and a small embryo,Here, we cloned OSi1 and show that it encodes a putative transcription factor containing an RWP-RK domain-Transcriptional analysis indicated that OSi1 expression is elevated in early endosperm development, especially in the basal endosperm transfer layer (BETL), conducting zone (CZ), and central starch endospcrm (CSE) cells. RNA sequencing (RNA-Seq) analysis of the osi mutant revealed sharp downregulation of certain genes in specific cell types, including ZmMRP-1 and Megl in BETL cells and a majority of zein-and starch-related genes in CSE cells. Using a haploid induction system, we show that wild-type endosperm could rescue the smaller size of osi embryo, which suggests that nutrients are allocated by tho wild type endosperm. Therefore, our dsta imply that the network regulated by 051 accomplishes a key step in nutrient allocation between endosperm and embryo within maize seeds. Identification of this network will help uncover the mechanisms regulating the nutritional balance between endosperm and embryo.

Forests are important parts of terrestrial ecosystems and play a leading role in regional and global nitrogen(N)cycles.Detailed assessment of N storage and allocation in China’s forests is critical to improve the accuracy of regional or global N estimates and to guide policy-makers in the formulation of scientific and effective N management measures.However,the fore stN storage at national scale remains unclear.Based on 4420 forest field-investigated data,we investigated the N storage allocation in China’s forests,explored the spatial patterns and influence factors.The data included vegetation information on various organs(i.e.,leaf,branch,stem,and root)and soil information at different depths(0-30 cm and 0-100 cm).The total N storage in China’s forest ecosystems was 14.45±8.42 tN hm^–2;0.86±0.51 tN hm^–2(5.95%)in vegetation and 13.59±8.40 tN hm^–2(94.05%)in soil(0–100 cm).The storage and allocation of N varied significantly across various regions and forest types.For different ecological regions,N storage varied from 10.34 to 23.11 tN hm^–2,and the allocation ratio of N storage between vegetation and soil(0–100 cm)varied from 0.03 to 0.16.For different forest types,the N storage varied from 12.87 to 18.32 tN hm^–2,and the allocation ratio of N storage between vegetation and soil(0–100 cm)varied from 0.03 to 0.09.The spatial patterns relative to N storage and allocation in forests were different.Climate was the primary factor influencing the spatial variation in forestN storage,while soil texture was the main factor influencing the spatial variation in N allocation.These first estimates of N storage and allocation ratio in China’s forests are keys for improving the fitting accuracy of regional N cycle models and provide a reference for regional management of forestN.

Enterprise architecture(EA) development is always a superior way to address business-IT alignment(BITA) issue.However, most EA design frameworks are inadequate to allocate IT resources, which is an important metric of BITA maturity. Under this situation, the idea of IT resource allocation is combined with the EA design process, in order to extend prior EA research on BITA and to demonstrate EA's capability of implementing IT governance. As an effective resource allocation method, portfolio decision analysis(PDA) is used to align business functions of business architecture and applications of system architecture. Furthermore, this paper exhibits an illustrative case with the proposed framework.

Dynamic resource allocation(DRA) is a key technology to improve system performances in GEO multi-beam satellite systems. And, since the cache resource on the satellite is very valuable and limited, DRA problem under restricted cache resources is also an important issue to be studied. This paper mainly investigates the DRA problem of carrier resources under certain cache constraints. What's more, with the aim to satisfy all users' traffic demands as more as possible, and to maximize the utilization of the bandwidth, we formulate a multi-objective optimization problem(MOP) where the satisfaction index and the spectrum efficiency are jointly optimized. A modified strategy SA-NSGAII which combines simulated annealing(SA) and non-dominated sorted genetic algorithm-II(NSGAII) is proposed to approximate the Pareto solution to this MOP problem. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm in terms of satisfaction index, spectrum efficiency, occupied cache, and etc.

A Task allocation Method for Stream Processing with Recovery Latency Constraint

Stream processing applications continuously process large amounts of online streaming data in real time or nearreal time. They have strict latency constraints. However, the continuous processing makes them vulnerable to any failures,and the recoveries may slow down the entire processing pipeline and break latency constraints. The upstream backupscheme is one of the most widely applied fault-tolerant schemes for stream processing systems. It introduces complexbackup dependencies to tasks, which increases the difficulty of controlling recovery latencies. Moreover, when dependenttasks are located on the same processor, they fail at the same time in processor-level failures, bringing extra recovery latencies that increase the impacts of failures. This paper studies the relationship between the task allocation and therecovery latency of a stream processing application. We present a correlated failure effect model to describe the recoverylatency of a stream topology in processor-level failures under a task allocation plan. We introduce a recovery-latency awaretask allocation problem （RTAP） that seeks task allocation plans for stream topologies that will achieve guaranteed recoverylatencies. We discuss the difference between RTAP and classic task allocation problems and present a heuristic algorithmwith a computational complexity of O（n log2 n） to solve the problem. Extensive experiments were conducted to verify thecorrectness and effectiveness of our approach. It improves the resource usage by 15%-20% on average.
