Self-attribution of digital poverty by rural residents and its implications:Field studies in Anhui,Gansu and Tianjin of China

The paper conducted a grounded theory research on self-attribution analysis by rural residents on their digital poverty status from fields study in Dongzhi County of Anhui Province,Tianzhu of Gansu and Jinghai of Tianjin.It reports main research findings on categories of their feelings of reasons for digital poverty,which include digital ability,digital efforts,digital context and social support.The lack of digital ability is composed of the lack of digitally physical ability,digitally economic ability,digitally psychological ability,and digital literacy,combinations of which can describe the realities of their deficiency of digital ability.Digital efforts consist of time consumed on digital information behavior and using experiences based on it.Digital context is divided into information infrastructure,social norms which refer to social customs,habits,ethics,and epistemology in the digital world,and luck.Social support means social resources including tangible support and emotional support to the digital poor from their social relations and social institutions.Digital poverty model for rural residents is constructed and suggestions on alleviation of digital poverty are proposed.

Effects of Communication Robot on Distress Reduction in Mammography

Mammography is obviously useful for the early detection and diagnosis of breast diseases in women. However, it usually involves anxieties and pains. This paper aimed to explore effects of the communication robot on distress reduction in mammography. Nineteen healthy women participated in the examination. They were randomly assigned to either an experimental group (n = 9) or a control group (n = 10). The participants in the experimental group talked and played with a communication robot before mammography. PALRO (FUJISOFT Inc., Tokyo, Japan) was used as the communication robot, which was a chatty, comforting robot. PALRO can communicate with the human and has several specific applications such as dancing, singing and talking about knowledge of various things. Autonomic nervous activities were observed before and during mammography. Degrees of subjective pain associated with mammography were also assessed using a visual analogue scale (VAS). As a result, autonomic nervous activities between the experimental group and the control group were not significantly different. Unfortunately, the communication robot did not help to intensify parasympathetic nerve activities, which became dominant at rest or a relaxed state. On the other hand, the VAS scores for pain in the experimental group were significantly smaller than ones in the control group (p alleviation during mammography.

Implementing the rural revitalization strategy is an important decision-making arrangement made by the party s 19th National Congress,and is the general grasp of the work of"agriculture,rural areas and farmers"in the new era.In rural development,the issue of cultivated land is an important way to promote poverty alleviation in the vast rural areas and build a well-off society in an all-round way.In combination with the fact that the current quality of cultivated land resources in China is not high and the basic fertility has been continuously declining caused due to pollution,China must promote a scientific and rational system of arable land fallow to ensure the further development of agricultural modernization in China.In the process of researching the implementation of the arable land fallow system,the problems of land abandonment and"non-agriculturalization"after farmland fallow,the willingness of farmers to fallow and the subsidy for farmland fallow have been discovered.In response to the problems above,corresponding policy recommendations are put forward in order to better promote the process of arable land fallow and poverty alleviation in China.

Taking Living Water Park in Chengdu for example, planning of urban public disaster-prevention green spaces was analyzed to further explore planning of urban disaster-prevention green space system and refugee spaces, and provide instructions for the planning and construction of urban disaster-prevention green spaces in China.
