Chaotic characteristics of traffic flow time series is analyzed to further investigate nonlinear characteristics of air traffic *** space is reconstructed both by time delay which is built through mutual information,and by embedding dimension which is based on false nearest neighbors *** order to analyze chaotic characteristics of time series,correlation dimensions and the largest Lyapunov exponents are calculated through Grassberger-Procaccia(G-P)algorithm and small-data ***-day radar data from the control center in Guangzhou area are analyzed and the results show that saturated correlation dimensions with self-similar structures exist in time series,and the largest Lyapunov exponents are all equal to zero and not sensitive to initial *** traffic system is affected by multiple factors,containing inherent randomness,which lead to *** grasping chaotic characteristics can air traffic be predicted and controlled accurately.

The rapid growth of air traffic has continuously increased the workload of controllers,which has become an important factor restricting sector *** similar traffic scenes can be identified,the historical decision-making experience may be used to help controllers decide control strategies *** that there are many traffic scenes and it is hard to label them all,in this paper,we propose an active SVM metric learning(ASVM2L)algorithm to measure and identify the similar traffic *** of all,we obtain some traffic scene samples correctly labeled by experienced air traffic *** design an active sampling strategy based on voting difference to choose the most valuable unlabeled samples and label *** the metric matrix of all the labeled samples is learned and used to complete the classification of traffic *** verify the effectiveness of ASVM2L on standard data sets,and then use it to measure and classify the traffic scenes on the historical air traffic data set of the Central South Sector of *** experimental results show that,compared with other existing methods,the proposed method can use the information of traffic scene samples more thoroughly and achieve better classification performance under limited labeled samples.

Intractable delays occur in air traffic due to the imbalance between ever-increasing air traffic demand and limited airspace *** air traffic is associated with complex air transport systems,delays can be magnified and propagated throughout these systems,resulting in the emergent behavior known as delay *** understanding of delay propagation dynamics is pertinent to modern air traffic *** this work,we present a complex network perspective of delay propagation ***,we model air traffic scenarios using spatial–temporal networks with airports as the *** establish the dynamic edges between the nodes,we develop a delay propagation method and apply it to a given set of air traffic *** on the constructed spatial-temporal networks,we suggest three metrics-magnitude,severity,and speed-to gauge delay propagation *** validate the effectiveness of the proposed method,we carry out case studies on domestic flights in the Southeastern Asia region(SAR)and the United *** demonstrate that the propagation magnitude in terms of the number of flights affected by delay propagation and the amount of propagated delays for the US traffic are respectively five and ten times those of the *** further reveal that the propagation speed for US traffic is eight times faster than that of the *** delay propagation dynamics reveal that about six hub airports in the SAR have significant propagated delays,while the situation in the United States is considerably worse,with a corresponding number of around *** work provides a potent tool for tracing the evolution of air traffic delays.

Unmanned Aerial Vehicle（UAV） has a rapid growth in recent years. An efficient air traffic system for UAVs working at a low altitude which is rich of obstacles is desired. However, as far as we know, the work on the generation of such an air traffic network at a low altitude lacks attention. It is expected to develop an algorithm in order to generate a traffic network automatically similar to the complex road traffic network by taking a matrix or image marked with obstacles as input. Considering those situations above, this paper addresses（i） automatic air traffic network generation that is suitable for UAVs working at a low altitude,（ii） several line segments（airlines） fitting for a curve, and（iii） a graph modeling. A simple experiment is also performed to show the effectiveness of the method proposed.

Abstract Recently, much attention has been paid to the reliability and vulnerability of critical infrastructure. In air traffic systems, the vulnerability analysis for airport networks can be used to guide air traffic administrations in their prioritization of the maintenance and repair of airports, as well as to avoid unnecessary disturbances in the planning of flight schedules. In this paper, the evaluation methods of airport importance and network efficiency arc established. Firstly, the evaluation indices of airport importance are proposed from both the topological and functional perspectives. The topological characteristics come from the structure of airport network and the functional features stem from the traffic flow distribution taking place inside the network. Secondly, an integrated evaluation method based on fuzzy soft set theory is proposed to identify the key airports, which can fuse together importance indices over different time intervals. Thirdly, an airport network efficiency method is established for the purpose of assessing the accuracy of the evaluation method. Finally, empirical studies using real traffic data of US and China＇s airport networks show that the evaluation method proposed in this papcr is the most accuratc. Thc vulucrability of US and China＇s airport networks is compared. The similarities and differences between airport geography distribution and airport importance distribution are discussed here and the dynamics of airport importance is studied as well.

The International Civil Aviation Organization （ICAO） is a specialized agency of the United Nations. Functionally, it has emerged as the organizational necessity of both the universal complex structure and the importance of its overall activity. It was created on the basis of Article 57 of the United Nations Charter, stipulating that the specialized UN agencies are autonomous international organizations. They enjoy their autonomy on the basis of the contract they were established by, being engaged in activities within the United Nations system. On the territories the organization member states comprise, they enjoy privileges and immunities, having the international legal capacity to carry out their activities in accordance to the Statute. The 1944 Multilateral Convention was to establish both protection and efficient development of international civil aviation. In accordance to that rights and obligations of member states were established. It is of a special importance to emphasize obligation of parties to take their parts in both co-operation and programs aimed at improvement of international transport, navigational equipment, and installations. In the globalized world of today, air traffic is an irreplaceable part of the system of communication. It enables fast and timely business contacts between the people from various continents, as well as transport of goods.
