Geological Interpretation and Hydrocarbon Exploration Potential of Three Types of Mound-shaped Reflectors in the Meishan Formation,Southern Qiongdongnan Basin

Many mound-shaped reflectors with different features and shapes are evident in the Upper Member of the Meishan Formation from seismic profiles taken in the deep-water area of the Southern Qiongdongnan *** on the drilling,2 D and 3 D seismic data from the study area,descriptions of the seismic reflection characteristics as well as the geometric shape,wave impedance inversion,analogy and comparative analyses are carried *** in conjunction with research on the paleo structure and paleo sedimentary background,we consider that the mound-shaped seismic reflectors are distributed in the Southern Slop belt and the Southern High-rise of the Qiongdongnan Basin,which can be subdivided into three types:reefs,contourite mounds and magmatic *** first type,reefs,includes patch reefs,platform marginal reefs and pinnacle *** reefs present mound-shaped seismic facies with medium frequency and a moderately strong amplitude,being distributed at the uplift of the fault control platform on the Southern Slop *** platform marginal reefs have flat mound-shaped seismic facies with strong amplitude and medium frequency,developing at the margin of the carbonate platform in the Southern *** pinnacle reefs have mound-shaped seismic facies with strong amplitude and medium frequency and are developed on an isolated volcanic *** boundaries between individual reefs are clear on the seismic section,with reef ridge and reef ditch developed,the phenomenon of’front product’being visible within,two-way superelevation between wings is developed and they exist visibly as mounds in any viewed direction of the *** are slightly asymmetrical in the direction perpendicular to the paleodepth the reef body being steep near the deep-water side,while being gentle near the shallow water *** wave impedance of a patch reef is about 7 kg/m^(3)×m/s,while the wave impedance of a platform marginal reef is about 7.5 kg/m^(3)×m/*** second type-contourite

The Three-layer Structure and Systems of Petroleum Migration and accumulation of Continental Basins

The concept of the three-layer structure of continental basins is presented based on the characteristics of layered structure of basins. The reservoir could be classified into accumulation system assemblage, accumulation system, accumulation assemblage and reservoir. This paper discusses the characteristics of hydrocarbon accumulation system assemblages of the Zhanhua Depression, which include four kinds of genetic patterns：（1） buried-hill hydrocarbon accumulation system assemblage; （2） self-sourced accumulation system assemblage from the upper interval of member 4 to member 1 of Shahejie formation; （3） transition accumulation system assemblage from member 1 of the Shahejie formation to Dongying formation and （4） externally sourccd accumulation system assemblage in the late Tertiary. The hydrocarbon-source transport network layer consisted of faults and unconformities, which connected with the reservoir layer.

Characteristics of Changchengian rifts in southern margin of North China Craton and its hydrocarbon geological conditions

The Meso-Neoproterozoic strata are wildly distributed in North China Craton(NCC),of which Changchengian strata are most widely *** Changchengian strata in south margin of NCC as the study object,and combined with comprehensive analysis of isotopic chronology and petrology,it can be concluded that the Xiong'er rift is a plume rift which responds to breakup of Columbia *** data shows that Changchengian rifts are developed in the Qinshui Basin and the southern part of Ordos Basin covered by Phanerozoic strata,respectively are large-scale graben rifts and half-graben *** magnetic data indicates that a NE-trending rift is developed in the west of the Xiong'er rift,and the Qinshui Basin rift is the extension of the north branch of the Xiong'er *** filling process of Changchengian rifts can be divided into four stages:the early rifting stage developing thick andesitic volcanic rocks,the late rifting stage developing large suite of coarse clastic sedimentary rocks,the depression stage developing fine clastic rocks,and the epeiric sea stage developing carbonate *** dark argillaceous rocks are developed in Cuizhuang Formation and Chenjiajian Formation during the depression stage,and the black shale in Cuizhuang Formation is the effective source *** bitume is filled in fractures of dolomite in Luoyukou Formation,as well as dissolution pores and large caves in Longjiayuan *** argillaceous sandstone and muddy limestone of Lower Cambrian is the effective cap rocks,which can form an potential accumulation assemblage of Changchengian strata with underlying source rocks of Cuizhuang Formation and reservoirs of Luoyu Group,and this assemblage may be still effective at present.
