Early Cretaceous Magma Mingling in Xiaocuo,Southeastern China Continental Margin:Implications for Subduction of Paleo-Pacific Plate

Magma mingling has been identified within the continental margin of southeastern *** study focuses on the relationship between mafic and felsic igneous rocks in composite dikes and plutons in this area,and uses this relationship to examine the tectonic and geodynamic implications of the mingling of mafic and felsic *** magmatic enclaves（MMEs） show complex relationships with the hosting Xiaocuo granite in Fujian area,including lenticular to rounded porphyritic microgranular enclaves containing abundant felsic/mafic phenocrysts,elongate mafic enclaves,and back-veining of the felsic host granite into mafic ***-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb analyses show crystallization of the granite and dioritic mafic magmatic enclave during ca.132 and 116 *** host granite and MMEs both show zircon growth during repeated thermal events at-210 Ma and 160-180 *** from the magma mingling zone generally contain felsic-derived zircons with well-developed growth zoning and aspect ratios of 2-3,and maficderived zircons with no obvious oscillatory zoning and with higher aspect ratios of ***,these two groups of zircons show no obvious trace element or age *** hf-isotope compositions show that the host granite and MMEs have similar ε（hf）（t） values from negative to positive which suggest a mixed source from partial melting of the Meso-Neoproterozoic with involvement of enriched mantlederived magmas or juvenile *** lithologies,mineral associations,and geochemical characteristics of the mafic and felsic rocks in this study area indicate that both were intruded together,suggesting Early Cretaceous mantle—crustal interactions along the southeastern China continental *** Early Cretaceous magma mingling is correlated to subduction of Paleo-Pacific plate.

Early Permian–Late Triassic Magmatism in the Tuotuohe Region of the Qinghai–Tibet Plateau: Constraints on the Tectonic evolution of the Western Segment of the Jinshajiang Suture

In this paper we present new zircon U-Pb ages,whole-rock major and trace element analyses,and zircon hf isotopic data for magmatic rocks in the Tuotuohe region of the western segment of the Jinshajiang *** aim is to constrain the Early Permian-Late Triassic tectonic evolution of the *** from the magmatic rocks of the Tuotuohe region are euhedralsubhedral in shape and display fine-scale oscillatory zoning as well as high Th/U ratios （0.4-4.6）,indicating a magmatic *** zircon U-Pb ages obtained using LA-ICP-MS are 281 ± 1 Ma,258 ± 1 Ma,244 ± 1 Ma,and 216 ± 1 Ma,which indicate magmatism in the Early Permian-Late Triassic.A diorite from Bashihubei （BSHN） has SiO2 =57.18-59.97 wt％,Al2O3=15.70-16.53 wt％,and total alkalis （Na2O ＋ K2O） =4.46-6.34 wt％,typical of calc-alkaline and metaluminous series.A gabbro from Bashibadaoban （BSBDB） belongs to the alkaline series,and is poor in SiO2 （45.46-54.03 wt％） but rich in Al2O3 （16.19-17.39 wt％） and total alkalis （Na2O ＋ K2O =5.48-6.26 wt％）.The BSHN diorite and the BSBDB gabbro both display an enrichment of LREEs and LILEs and depletion of hfSEs,and they have no obvious Eu anomaly; they have relatively low MgO contents （2.54-4.93 wt％）,Mg# values of 43 to 52,and low Cr and Ni contents （8.07-33.6 ppm and 4.41-14.2 ppm,respectively）,indicating they differentiated from primitive mantle *** have low Nb/U,Ta/ U,and Ce/Pb ratios （1.3-9.6,0.2-0.8,and 0.1-18.1,respectively）,and their initial hf isotopic ratios range from ＋9.6 to ＋16.9 （BSHN diorite） and ＋6.5 to ＋12.6 （BSBDB gabbro）,suggesting their primary magmas were derived mainly from the partial melting of a mantle wedge that had been metasomatized by subduction *** all the new data together,we conclude that the western and eastern segment of the Jinshajiang suture regions underwent identical processes of evolution in the Early Permian-Late Triassic：oceanic crust subduction before the Early Permian,continental collision during the Early-Middle T

The Laocheng granitoid pluton is located in the South Qinling tectonic domain of the Qinling orogenic belt,southern Shaanxi Province,and consists chiefly of quartz diorite,granodiorite and monzogranite.A LA-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb isotopic dating,in conjunction with cathodoluminescence images,reveals that the quartz diorite and granodiorite were emplaced from 220 Ma to 216 Ma,while the monzogranite was emplaced at～210 ***-situ zircon hf isotopic analyses show that theε_（hf）（t） values of the quartz diorite and granodiorite range from-8.1 to ＋1.3,and single-stage hf model ages from 809 Ma to 1171 Ma,while theε_（hf）（t）values of the monzogranite are-14.5 to ＋16.7 and single-stage hf model ages from 189 Ma to 1424 *** hf isotopic features reveal that the quartz diorite, granodiorite and monzogranite were formed from the mixing of the magmas derived from partial melting of the depleted mantle and the lower continent crustal materials,and there were two stages of continental crust growth during the Neoproterozoic（～800 Ma）and Indosinian（～210 Ma）eras, respectively,in the south Qinling tectonic domain of the Qinling orogrnic belt,Central China.

Triassic granitoids,including the$220 Ma Shuanghu and$210 Ma Rongma granitoids studied here,are widely distributed around the Longmu–Shuanghu suture and in the Qiangtang terrane,central *** majority of these granitoids can be classified as high-K calc-alkaline in nature and yield negative Ba and Sr anomalies on primitive mantle-normalized *** addition,they are:enriched in light rare earth elements(LREE)((La/Yb)N=1.61–21.79);strongly enriched in large ion lithophile elements(LILE:e.g.,Cs,Rb,and K),and depleted in high field strength elements(hfSE:e.g.,Nb and Ti).Magma mixing played a role in the genesis of the Shuanghu granodiorites,as indicated by the occurrence of dioritic enclaves and the wide range in zircon hf compositions(e hf(t)=à15.0 toà2.5).The I-type Shuanghu granodiorites and S-type Shuanghu and Rongma granites might have been derived from melting of southern Qiangtang crust given the high initial Sr(0.7131–0.7272),low e Nd(t)(à8.9 toà11.1)and zircon e hf(t)values(à15 toà7.2).The granitoids may have formed during melting of southern Qiangtang crust,heated by upwelling asthenosphere mantle,a result of break-off and delamination of the Paleo-Tethys slab in a collisional setting.

Major and trace element,whole rock Sr and Nd isotope and zircon hf isotope data are reported for a suite of A-type granites and mafic microgranuiar enclaves from the Early Cretaceous(126±2 Ma) Qianshan pluton,Liaodong Peninsula,east China,with the aim of investigating the sources and petrogenesis of A-type *** Qianshan pluton includes hornblende alkali-feldspar granite,graphic biotite granite and mafic microgranuiar *** hornblende alkali-feldspar granites have high SiO2,Fe2O3T/MgO,K2O+Na2O,Rb,Zr and LREE contents and low Ba and Sr concentrations with strongly negative Eu *** high Rb/Sr(87Rb/86Sr = 16.76-24.15) and initial 87Sr/86Sr ratios(0.7215 to 0.7283),negativeεNd(t) values(-14.1 to -16.5) and zircon ehf(t) values(-18.9 to -11.5) indicate they were mainly derived from a crustal source,but with involvement of highεNd(t) and ehf(t) *** biotite granites have similar geochemical features and Sr-Nd-hf isotopic compositions to enclaves, indicating they were the result of crystal fractionation of evolved mafic magmas,but with involvement of lowεNd(t) andεhf(t) *** mafic enclaves have an igneous texture and contain acicular apatite,suggesting quenching of mafic magmas that have co-mingled with the host *** have low initial 87Sr/86Sr ratios(0.7097-0.7148),negativeεNd(t)(-14.5 to -11.9) and zirconεhf(t)(-17.1 to -6.9) values,and are enriched in LILEs and LREEs and depleted in *** coupled with the high MgO(Mg# up to 54),this indicates derivation from an enriched lithospheric mantle source,but contaminated by crustal materials. Geochemical and Sr-,Nd- and zircon hf-isotopic compositions rule-out simple crystal-liquid fractionation or restite unmixing as the major genetic link between enclaves and host rocks. Instead,magma mixing of mantle-derived mafic and crustal-derived magmas,coupled with crystal fractionation,is compatible with the *** example shows that at least some A-type granites formed thr
