Global optimum encoding packet selection mechanism based on opportunistic network coding for wireless network retransmission

Packet loss cannot be avoided in wireless network due to wireless transmission medium particularity, therefore improving retransmission efficiency is meaningful to wireless transmission. The current retransmission packet selection mechanisms based on oppornistic network coding （ONC） face low retransmission efficiency and high computational complexity problems. To these problems, an optimized encoding packet selection mechanism based on ONC in wireless network retransmission （OONCR） is proposed. This mechanism is based on mutual exclusion packets and decoding gain concepts, and makes full use of ONC advantages. The main contributions of this scheme are to control the algorithm eomplexity of the maximum encoding packets selection effectively, avoid the redundancy encoding packets due to the overlapping among encoding packets, and take the encoding packet local and global optimization problem into consideration. Retransmission efficiency is evaluated according to the computational complexity, the throughput, the retransmission redundancy ratio, and the number of average retransmission. Under the various conditions, the number of average retransmission of OONCR is mainly lower than that of other typical retransmission packet selection schemes. The average retransmission redundancy ratios of OONCR are lower about 5%-40% compared with other typical schemes. Simultaneously the computational complexity of OONCR is comparatively lower than that of other typical schemes.

With the popularity of wireless networks and the prevalence of personal mobile computing devices, understanding the characteristic of wireless network users is of great significance to the network performance. In this study, system logs from two universities, Dartmouth College and Shanghai Jiao Tong University(SJTU), were mined and analyzed. Every user's log was represented by a user profile. A novel weighted social similarity was proposed to quantify the resemblance of users considering influence of location visits. Based on the similarity, an unsupervised learning method was applied to cluster users. Though environment parameters are different, two universities both form many social groups with Pareto distribution of similarity and exponential distribution of group sizes. These findings are very important to the research of wireless network and social network .

The goal of this paper is to propose a fast and accurate iris pattern recognition system by using wireless network system. This paper consists of three parts: the first part includes two methods of the iris pattern recognition system: Libor Masek and genetic algorithms, the second part includes the compression-decompression process of iris image using Principal Component Analysis (PCA) as a data reduction method, in order to reduce image size, and the third part talks about wireless network. In this work, an iris image is transferred across wireless network which contains two independent-parallel lines connected to the central Personal Computer (PC) in order to be recognized at the end of each line, then the results of recognition are sent back to the central PC. The proposed genetic algorithm, which is used in this paper is more accurate than Masek algorithm and has low computational time and complexity, which makes this method better than Masek method in recognizing iris patterns.

The minimum Steiner tree problem has wide application background, such as transportation system, communication network, pipeline design and VISL, etc. It is unfortunately that the computational complexity of the problem is NPhard. People are common to find some special problems to consider. In this paper, we introduce the definition of restricted Steiner tree problem, i.e., a restricted Steiner tree problem, which the fixed vertices are in the same side of one line L and we find a vertex on L such the distance of the tree is minimal. By the definition and the complexity of the Steiner tree problem, we know that the complexity of this problem is also Np-complete. Therefore, we consider there are two or three fixed vertices to find the restricted Steiner tree problem. We use the algorithm of restricted Steiner tree problem to solve the location-selection of wireless network.

In order to overcome the disadvantages of boarding bridge’s collapse and scraping the plane without early warning, a design of wireless fault early warning and monitoring system combining ZigBee wireless communication technology and variable sensors which are used to detect vibration, position, and faults, was proposed. The structure of network, the design of hardware and the software modules of the monitoring system are discussed in detail. Experiments show that the application of wireless ZigBee technique with low cost and low-power dissipation makes the monitoring system of airport boarding bridge more flexible and shortens the troubleshooting time. Besides, it could eliminate the cumbersome problem of overall fault diagnosis on site.

This paper studies a rate-based TCP-Friendly Rate Control（TFRC） mechanism, which is widely used in multimedia real-time services, and analyzes its basic workflow, throughput model and calculation of key parameters. In order to meet the demand of real-time service for network transmission, the bandwidth-delay product（BDP） is applied to the congestion control of TFRC as the network congestion warning signal, and the improved TFRC algorithm is proposed. The simulation results show that this method can achieve good results in the network transmission of real-time services, and its friendliness and smoothness are improved to a certain extent.

＜正＞A new active queue management（AQM） algorithm named fractional order proportional integral（FOPI） controller was proposed,which was used for congestion control of networks with traditional wired backbone and wireless terminal user supporting Internet TCP ***,the small signal theory was introduced to linearize the dynamic model for the congestion control of wireless networks in the steady ***,for meeting the system stability and robustness requirements,the parameters of FOPI were presented based on the frequency specifications concerned with the phase and the gain of the system open-loop transfer *** results show the excellent robustness performance of FOPI with system parameter variation and external disturbance experiments respectively.

Cooperative communication can achieve spatial diversity gains,and consequently combats signal fading due to multipath propagation in wireless networks powerfully.A novel complex field network-coded cooperation（CFNCC） scheme based on multi-user detection for the multiple unicast transmission is *** analysis and simulation results demonstrate that,compared with the conventional cooperation（CC） scheme and network-coded cooperation（NCC） scheme,CFNCC would obtain higher network throughput and consumes less time ***,a further investigation is made for the symbol error probability（SEP） performance of CFNCC scheme,and SEPs of CFNCC scheme are compared with those of NCC scheme in various scenarios for different signal to noise ratio（SNR） values.
